23 Problems On Cultivation? Find Your Own Way

Although Ke YongAn had seen and felt a battle between even Spirit Condensing Level experts, for some odd reason, it seemed Elder Cai was more imposing.

The worm, strangely sensing danger, lounged towards the source. Many began to cry out in alarm. However, just as it arrived an inch away from Elder Cai, he merely swept his sleeve. Although this was a casual wave, none could follow Elder Cai with the naked eye.

Ke YongAn was just about able to see a flash of a sleeve with her special eyes.

Suddenly, the whole group was stunned as the worm suddenly began collapsing into small parts and rain down. Ke YongAn was extremely disgusted at the scene and felt the need to expel her stomach, but held it in with a pale face.

It was lucky that she had already seen dead bodies that died in a brutal way, or else Ke YongAn wouldn't have been sure that she would be able to take the scene. Everyone else seemed to be accustomed to the sight, merely cheering in success.

Many also began to pour out more flattering words, to which Elder Cai nodded to.

Even if Ke YongAn did not like how Elder Cai carried himself, she could not deny his strength. The gap between Nine Passages Stage and Spirit Awakening Stage was indeed akin to a firefly to the brilliance of the moon.

That's right! I need some manuals for the Nine Passage Stage. Ke YongAn almost forgot about this fact. After all, the Nine Passages Stage was different from the Qi Strengthening Stage. She could now begin to use Qi as attacks.

However, Ke YongAn was in no rush. Since she didn't quite like the prospects of buttering up to the unreasonable Elder Cai, she decided she would temper her body first.

Uh...how do I do that?

Ke YongAn ran into another problem. She needed to temper her body with the different attribute Qi, but she didn't know what to do with that lightning snake snoring away in her first meridian. There was a potential that she could seriously hurt herself while tempering.

Looks like I have to understand the properties of the lightning first.

Bitterly thinking about this, she urged the snake to wake up. In truth, she was kind of afraid of it now. After all, it had almost killed her back at the Eternal Spring.

When the snake flared up and crackled, Ke YongAn almost jumped. Easing her nerves, she let a trail of lightning Qi go through that passageway and through her arm to flicker on her fingertip.

Unfortunately, Ke YongAn was still unprepared when pain stung her arm.

Lightning was quick and tyrannic, more powerful than most elements, and definitely one of the worst ones to start from. Moreover, it was divine lightning that was within Ke YongAn!

Coming to her senses, Ke YongAn willed the lightning to return, the pain that multiplied each second slowly tearing her arm apart. Cold sweat formed on her forehead and back.

She only dared to breathe when the lightning had fully disappeared. Clutching her still throbbing arm, Ke YongAn slowly tried to relax.

It was at that moment that Yan RuSu dropped by, opening the flap to see how Ke YongAn was doing.

Seeing the pain twisted on Ke YongAn's face, Yan RuSu was startled.

She quickly slipped from her horse's saddle and quickly appeared at Ke YongAn's side. Ke YongAn let Yan RuSu slipped the sleeve upwards and look at her wound. Frowning, Yan RuSu grabbed bandages out of her pouch along with ointment to spread on the wound.

The ointment only made the pain worse, causing Ke YongAn to hiss in pain.

Only after the arm was bandaged up safely did Yan RuSu begin her investigation.

"How did you get hurt?"

Ke YongAn did not know what to say. Should she say she was practicing cultivation? The rest of the entourage were all in the Nine Passages Stage, say one or two at the eighth and ninth rank of Qi Strengthening stage.

However, it was evident that Ke YongAn was the youngest one among them. No one would believe a 13-year-old girl was a Nine Passages Stage practitioner. If she was a genius, why was she not protected properly?

The silence of Ke YongAn hanging her head low had activated Yan RuSu's big sister instincts. Instead of a questioning tone, it turned into scolding.

"Why didn't you say something? This is a bad injury, how did you even get yourself like this?! You have to be more careful! It's lucky that it wasn't that serious. Well, what do you have to say for yourself Young Man?"

Ke YongAn looked up surprised. She felt uncomfortable and wanted to run, but seeing the concern in Yan RuSu's eyes, she abandoned this notion. Although the assuming she was a guy felt like knives stabbing through, that was exactly what she wanted. Ke YongAn felt warmth and decided that she would stay with the group no matter what.

Do I really have to butter up to Elder Cai? Ugh...Wait! Ke YongAn could feel a light bulb go off. She could just ask Yan RuSu a way for Lightning to be transferred through the body! Problem solved.

"Elder Sis, I-I was trying to practice cultivation."

Yan RuSu was surprised. But judging by Ke YongAn's age, that was normal. What could make a injury this serious during cultivation? She thought, feeling suspicious.

"I have some questions for Elder Sis." Ke YongAn continued, studying Yan RuSu's expression.

"Go ahead."

Ke YongAn, getting approval, felt even more nervous. She wondered if Yan RuSu would suspect something...

"I was wondering what the nine passages stage was like..."

Hearing this, Yan RuSu smiled. Many looked up to the Nine Passages Stage, and most could find success from breaking through. However, the process of advancing the Nine Passages Stage was different.

"The Nine Passages Stage uses Attribute Qi instead of origin Qi. There are twelve Meridians, and so, twelve passageways. I'm sure you heard this?"

Ke YongAn hurriedly nodded her head. Ke YongAn then asked, "What attribute Qi does sister have?"

Yan RuSu looked at Ke YongAn. He's really smart to deduce that.

"I have three types of Attribute Qi. The first is fire."

Yan Rusu opened her palm as fire danced. The sight was really enchanting.

"Then there is wind."

A breeze was generated, fluttering Ke YongAn's hair.

"And finally, darkness." In her other palm, there was another flame. But this flame was black in colour, and did not give off any heat.

Ke YongAn looked upwards, but was surprised of the sorrow on her face. It was gone the next moment, though, causing Ke YongAn to wonder if it was a figment of imagination.

"What about lightning? Do you know anyone who has that attribute?" Ke YongAn pressed.

Yan RuSu had the same look of sorrow once again. Ke YongAn blinked, concerned.

"You don't have to answer." Ke YongAn hurriedly put forth. Why does everything I say seem to press the wrong buttons?

"It's fine. He was a genius."

"How did he channel the lightning?" Ke YongAn eagerly asked. This was the thing she wanted information on.

Yan RuSu looked at Ke YongAn, amused.

"There is a principle for every attribute Qi. Before you can use it, you have to gain its approval, to understand it."

How?

This was written all over Ke YongAn's face. Yan Rusu merely smiled but didn't say anything mre.

"This, is a secret. Each individual cultivator can have the general knowledge, but to advance on their respective paths, they can only rely on themselves.

If you have problems on cultivation, you have to find your own way."

Ke YongAn was distressed. The reason she was asking because didn't know how. This talk only made things worse.

'Well, I should be going know. And, don't get hurt again." Yan RuSu stood up and rustled Ke YongAn's hair and mounted her horse once again, disappearing quickly from view.

Ke YongAn, irritated, ruffled back her bird's nest and sighed.

Why was Elder Sister Yan RuSu so sad? Who was that person she talked about? Her lover?

Instead of helping Ke YongAn, she now had more questions in her mind.

No matter for now.

Ke YongAn sat in a lotus position, quickly dispelling all other thoughts except for cultivation. Gaining approval...gaining approval...understand it.

I feel so laaaazzzyyy >///< Also, I am not sure how to make character more 3D.
