28 A 'Lil Bow(Part 1)

Eyes shining with excitement for something completely different from the people within the auction, Ke YongAn carefully listened to the wondrous explanation to each item.

Of course, Ke YongAn only observed and cheered on all the auctioneers equally without raising her hand.

"Little brother, is there anything you like?" After the first few items had gone to their respected winners, Yan RuSu turned to Ke YongAn and flashed a dazzling smile.

Uah...too bright, too bright! Squinting at Yan RuSu who seemed to be in a very good mood, Ke YongAn shook her head and continued,

"It's already enough to bring me along. I don't have anything that catches my attention. Thank you for the invitation though."

"Just tell this big sister if you want anything and I'll buy it for you."

Though this sentence was spoken normally, the contents told Ke YongAn quite a few things. The first thing was that Yan RuSu had a good impression of Ke YongAn(Obviously) and that she was confident enough that she could buy anything(dang she's rich).

Therefore, Ke YongAn didn't refuse this time.

The auction dragged on and Ke YongAn's enthusiasm began to wear off.

"Blue Gold lily! Going once! Going Twice! Sold to number 13!"

"Green Tortoise armor, going once! Going Twice! Sold to number 20!"

"Golden Dragon orb going once! Going Twice! Sold to number 56!"

In any case, the repeated words and format was wearing down Ke YongAn's concentration.

Then, there was a large cough that snapped up everyone's attention.

"Do you know the story of that incident which a rock fell from the heavens and blazed a silvery light?"

Oh, it's one of the best items now. This should be interesting. Ke YongAn thought to herself.

The people below where stumped and did not know what the person on stage was talking about.

"That incident ten years ago that destroyed a whole island?" The person on stage prompted.

This seemed to rouse some people's memories as they began to chatter and discuss what was going to be displayed.

"Yes, what we are going to display today is a piece of that mysterious rock that no one has ever seen! Though there is no Qi in the stone anymore, it's density has surpassed any ore made for a Spirit Treasure!"

The whispers that were once contained exploded! A Spirit treasure was indeed too rare. Most of the time, no one would sell a Spirit Treasure unless they were desperate enough. Among a hundred thousand, only a few would probably own one. In market price, it was worth millions of gold.

"The starting bid is 200 000 and will increase by a hundred each time!"

It was to be expected that the bid would be that low already. After all, the stone had no Qi and was not a Spirit Treasure, merely an ore. Besides, creating a Spirit Treasure even with the right ores had only a 50% chance to succeed in normal conditions.

However, Ke YongAn didn't expect to have a reaction from her eyes. They instantly activated and tried to dialed up the power, causing Ke YongAn to have a headache. After the headache subsided, Ke YongAn wondered why the ore would attract the eyes so much. What secrets does that ore hold?

"1 million!"

Without noticing, the price had increased to a million.

Ke YongAn glanced at Yan RuSu who sensed her gaze and looked back. Ke YongAn opened her mouth, but the voice that wanted to ask Yan RuSu to buy that ore died, slain by her conscience. She wasn't shameless enough for that.

"Little brother, you look like a fish on land. What do you want to ask?" Yan RuSu was the one to break the awkwardness Ke YongAn was feeling.

Not wanting to speak at the moment, Ke YongAn snapped her mouth shut and shook her head.

"Do you want that ore?" Quessing Ke YongAn's intentions, a bemused look in her eye appeared.

Ke YongAn shook her head again, this time a little more fiercely.

"Are you sure? If you don't want that ore, say it outloud. If you keep silent I'll accept that you want the ore." Yan RuSu drawled her sentence on slowly to see Ke YongAn's reaction.

"I don't want that ore." Finding her voice, Ke YongAn was cut off guard at how strong it sounded. At that she regained confidence and shoved her indecisiveness aside. What if she wanted the ore? She would not take advantage of Yan RuSu! Call her stupid for not understanding the world she was in now and stubborn at this random act of justice at the decision.

Thus, although Ke YongAn stared at the ore wistfully, all desire for it had disappeared.

And so the ore was sold off at a shocking price of 1 700 000 gold coins.

The person on stage was delighted, as this stone had far surpassed their estimated guesses. In any case, as the auction came to a close with its last items, Ke YongAn never felt another reaction from her eyes.

"Sorry elder sis. Not only did I waste your money, you didn't gain anything either." Ke YongAn tilted her head downwards after they had exited the auction grounds.

"Still being courteous with me?" Yan RuSu pursed her lips in dissatisfaction.

At this, Ke YongAn blinked her eyes but did not know what to say. Many people used to say Ke YongAn was a dork, and Ke YongAn admitted she was one herself.

"Whatever. Let's just go."

Therefore, the duo scoured the streets once again. They entered every building without discrimination to pass time.

In one such ordinary-looking shop, Ke YongAn's eyes couldn't help but trail back to lonely shape of something(perhaps a weapon?) sitting in a dusty corner. It clearly wasn't kept very well with all the rust, soot(don't ask) and dusk upon it.

Isn't this the legendary cheat that most MCs get?! A lowkey looking object that is actually heaven-defying?

The other customers and even the shopkeeper felt odd looking at this passerby looking at a rusty- something-in-a-corner with a heated gaze.

-cough, cough- After looking around, Yan RuSu had returned to see Ke YongAn looking at that rusty-something-in-a-corner.

Little brother, you're losing face!

But Ke YongAn paid no heed to her surroundings at that moment and walked closer to the sword when she unexpectedly felt it hard to move forward. She turned her gaze to the culprit, which was her very own hand gripping an iron bow.
