Clark was just like everyone else until he died then he became something else something more than then the young man that he had once been changes were happening so fast that his head was spinning. What do you do when one day you open your eyes and the whole world has changed? Follow Clark as he tries to navigate an ever changing environment.
Clark woke up slowly at first hands tingling mind foggy as he tried to make sense of what was happening. His last memories consisted of mere moments after he had accidentally activated a portal or what was supposed to be a portal by accident from the inside.
It was his attempt at getting recognition from the professors at the academy so that they would let him stay but just like everything else he tried to do it seemed to have failed.
Thinking about getting up though revealed a startling discovery to him Clark finding himself floating instead feet a few inches above the ground as he stared at his now pale hands.
Clenching them Clark tried to make sense of what he was seeing and experiencing first there seemed to be some kind of weird light orange glow circling his body.
A few strands of long hair fell in his face next revealing his once dark black hair to now be an almost shining white a small ball of panic building in his chest.
He may have been trying to stay a part of Shield, but he was still fully aware of the darker aspects of the side of the world he was in and that once someone discovered anything different about him, he would be locked away.
Lowering to the ground with a thought Clark began to pace a little trying to find a solution to his most obvious problem pausing mid stride after a couple of minutes head cocked to the side.
He could hear someone talking in the hall they were headed towards the lab that he had set up in finally drawing Clark from his musings as he looked at the machine that had changed him.
It was a tunnel plugged in at a number of points pulsing with a faint light allowing the visible circuits yet the real problem with it was that if his changes were more than just what he was displaying now he would need it.
Growling faintly to himself Clark missed the brightening glow of the orange energy around his body as it seemed to funnel towards his fist.

Now Clark had more questions that needed answered but if something was saying the portal was dangerous than all he could do was destroy it.
Moving to the control console he wasn't able to access anything the majority of the control systems having fried from the accidental power up.
Smashing his hand onto the console Clark watched the steel frame crumble inwards a little from the casual blow the energy around his body pulsing a few times. Little cuts that had appeared on his hand from the hit leaking a green liquid for a second before they sealed back up.
Staring at the energy field around his body Clark quickly came up with an idea harnessing the feelings that it seemed to respond to the most the anger and frustration boiling to the front as he directed a hand at the tunnel.
Pouring more will into it Clark pictured a blast leaving his hand taking a moment to solidify the image in his mind before letting out a grunt of effort a majority of the glow around his body dimming considerably.
Yet a football sized ball of orange energy left his hand smashing into the tunnel collapsing it violently while his form flickered for a second skin regaining its healthy tan before paling again.
A detail that he noticed but not one that he had the time to worry about as he could now hear running footsteps and even gunfire in the halls.
A brief moment of weakness saw Clark finding himself in the floor to the waist still able to feel his legs clearly as well as a faint pressure acting on them from all directions.
Drifting forward a little bit Clark smiled realizing that he had a way out of this situation sinking completely below the floor as the door was blown off of its hinges.

He hovered just below the floor turning sideways to allow one ear out listening to the people talk.
"Where is he?" A deeper voice spoke in the room.
"Doesn't matter the portal machine is destroyed seems to be some sort of energy weapon by the looks of the damage."
"Collect the data."
Clark had completely forgotten that with the right data someone could just as easily replicate his portal technology.
Rising out of the floor Clark clenched his fists energy gathering around them as he floated up behind the first man who was wearing full tactical gear.
Punching the man Clark didn't even notice the blood splattering across the floor as the man crumbled moving on to the second barely a moment later. The other man managed to turn around gun raised and firing already Clark felt pain when the first bullets hit him in the chest, and a few hit him in the face.
Some instinctual response caused him to the crumble to the floor his mind reeling against the pain spreading across his face the man obviously believing that Clark was dead turning back to his work.
Though within seconds Clark was dragging himself off of the ground head pulled back together. The bullet holes in his chest slowly sealed up the bullets clinking onto the floor.
"Now I am pissed off." Clark covered the distance to the man hand passing right through his chest thanks to his intangibility.
Focusing Clark lifted the man into the air only solidifying his wrist and elbow to keep from killing the man.
"Who are you guys?"
The man was gasping and gagging probably due to the feeling of an arm passing through him or something else. That aura field that seemed to surround Clark cloaking his arm enhancing him enough to hold what must have been at least two hundred pounds in the air.
"H-hail Hydra!" The man managed to give a choked yell.
"Hydra! Should have guessed that you guys would be just like the mythical beast." Clark lost his focus for a split second but that was all it really took.
Blood rapidly spilled out of the man's mouth as Clark felt organs warping and twisting around his forearm. The sudden appearance of his arm in the man's chest had killed him almost instantly.
Turning intangible Clark watched the body crumble to the floor while staring blankly ahead at the small handheld that was copying then destroying the original copies of his work.
He only zoned back in when the handheld beeped his computer frying itself right after as the cable on the handheld retracted into itself.
In a split-second Clark grabbed the handheld stuffing it into the pocket of his jeans as he shot through the ceiling staying intangible the whole way out of the building hovering over the academy.
It was on fire in some places with the sound of gunfire spreading everywhere people were killing each other in the fields and others were begging for their lives. But there was nothing Clark could do his mind wanted to run from this situation to disappear.
And just as the thought hit him, he watched his own hand become see through the destruction below becoming even more visible now.
[Invisibility Unlocked!]
Clark flew away pushing himself to go faster and faster heading further and further away from the death and destruction.
