Hiyoo still the author here hehe, I just wanted to write a little bit more about dissociative identity disorder without having to mix it in with the storyline so that everyone can learn about it.

Let's start off with what is dissociative identity disorder? So dissociative identity disorder is a mental disorder where a child has suffered from repeated traumatic events that cause the brain to disconnect from the environment around the child. During the repeated traumatic event the brain naturally creates an amnesic wall to protect the body and this reaction of the brain will separate the child's traumatic memories from the rest of the memories before the traumatic event. These amnesic walls separating traumatic memories create alternative personalities of the original person creating an identity inside the original body's head.

These alters are part of the same person however since each alters has different memories, they identify as different people, they will look, sound, and think differently depending on them and their memories. Which is why the disorder has recently changed names from multiple PERSONALITIES disorder to dissociative IDENTITY disorder as each of the alters ARE DIFFERENT in their OWN WAY.

How I explained and demonstrated dissociative identity disorder in this novel?

I started off with the main character, Azalea having a lot of pressure and stress as a child. Then when she experiences a traumatic event, her brain just shuts down creating amnesic walls to protect Azalea's mental and physical health. By this natural defense of the brain she develops alters, which are Chronos, Maya and NoName.

With Azalea and 3 other alters (she is only aware of 2 -Chronos and Maya-) I showed how they communicate, coped and co-exist with each other.

Throughout this novel, I want to explain dissociative identity disorder so that everyone that reads this novel understands and knows about this not widely known disorder.
