1 The crash

Darkness…

Everything around was pitch black…

There is not even a single sound nor a little speck of light…

She ran in this darkness not wanting to give up…

She didn't know for how far she could sprint given her legs were seemingly turning into jelly…

She felt like calling out to somebody…

But she found out that she couldn't even produce a single sound…

She was about to fall into the arms of despair when she heard a voice- a voice which made her happy- calling out to her.

At the same time, a sharp heart-wrenching pain shot up through her spine. It was so sharp that her feet crumbled and she was ultimately sucked back into the darkness which she had escaped with all her might just moments ago.

Meanwhile, the television screen was blaring about the news of the recent car crash which took place a few hours ago on the Eastern highway amongst the thick fauna, hills and snow.

The report showed that the driver was a lady of just twenty five years old named Han Lan.

According to the report, the reason for the crash was simple; lots of snow and a landslide. The report also informed others that the victim of bad weather Han Lan was taken to the nearest hospital and according to doctors her chances of survival were extremely low. Moreover, it also advised other drivers and travellers to be careful on the road.

The television kept on repeating the report but no one cared for it in the empty house which was currently shared by seven young men. They had all forgotten to turn the damn thing off when they received the call from the hospital about the accident.

Their closest friend was swinging between life and death so how could they care about a mere contraption?
