Marry me?

Keeping the book aside, Lan browsed through the files sent by Yu Sa.

She was surprised to find everything arranged neatly by date in the main folder. The arrangement was her subconscious habit. They contained videos sorted into years. It contained many of them dating up to a week before her disastrous accident.

This clearly showed her that she had been in a serious relationship with Lee Min of 5 long years.

There were photos and videos of every single event they arranged or celebrated together. What broke her heart further was a video clip of a week before her accident.

The clip started with loud cheers and birthday songs. She was holding a cake with candles and Yan was shooting the event. Min walked into the dorm smiling shyly at the surprise she had prepared for his birthday.

"This is unexpected," Min muttered smiling wide looking at her. He was so happy.

"Hey!" Yao rolled his eyes, "With your girlfriend around it's expected."

Min chuckled good naturedly, "That's true. Sweetie, you prepared all of this?"

"We can talk later," Lan winked at him, "Quickly make your wish."

After the celebration was over they escaped the loud guys to the quieter balcony where the wind was cool and comforting. Lan adjusted the camera so that she could capture every moment of her man's special day.

"Still shooting?" Min was surprised.

Lan nodded, "It's your special day."

Min shok his head with a small chuckle, "I'm really lucky to have found you, sweetie." He pulled her into his arms.

"Hush!" Her cheeks painted red, "It's nothing big-"

Min didn't say anything but quietly buried his face in her neck. His shoulders were shaking a little.

"What is it?" She asked running her fingers through his fine hairs.

"I just feel very happy that's all. I'm glad that you love me, Lan." He looked int her eyes, "I don't know what I'll do without you in my life. My heart simply doesn't accept that thought."

Lan smiled softly at him, "I'm not going anywhere Min. You already know that."

"Sweetie," He hesitated, "There's something-"

"Hm?"

"Let's get married soon." He said and his face flushed immediately.

Lan was dumbfounded, "I- I-"

Min grew at the lack of response from her, "I actually had planned a grand proposal for you but I couldn't control my stupid mouth and crazy heart." He pulled out a ring from his pocket and held it in front of her face, "Look I've been carrying this around for weeks now."

Lan laughed seeing him pout, "I was shocked a little that's all. This proposal is perfect. So when should we get married?"

It was Min's turn be stunned.

He couldn't believe his ears and he made her repeat her words again. Lan agreed happily to his proposal and he slid the ring on her finger before kissing her.

Back in the present, the screen went dark and Han Lan closed her eyes in pain. A lone tear slid through her shut eyes leaving behind only wetness and complete silence in its wake.

She got the answers she was looking for but the decision she had to make became much more complicated than it was before.
