ALL I WANT IS TO DIE!

The body in front of him flinched a few times before becoming completely still, not moving anymore. The person's yellow dragon robe had turned red after several parts of his body were pierced by a sword. The last part pierced by the sword was the person's heart, and blood streamed out the hole when the sword was removed.

The person in yellow had died, but the man holding the sword still didn't look satisfied. In his right hand was a sword stained with the blood of many people, and as he cast his gaze to observe his surroundings, he could see the owner of the various blood coating his sword.

Nearly fifty bodies filled a large hall in the palace, but not one of them could move a finger. Some closed their eyes, but some didn't even have time to close their eyes. Apart from those differences, there was one thing that those people had in common, namely that their hearts were no longer beating, and their noses were no longer breathing. They were all dead.

The only living person in the great hall moved his free hand towards his face, and he used the back of his hand to wipe his cheek. After he removed his hand from his cheek, he could see how the back of his hand was stained with blood, but he knew that the blood didn't belong to him.

The scene was bloody, and his body was also covered in blood. However, the blood was not his, and that was why he was still able to turn his body around to leave the gory scene.

He had exited the great hall, and his feet were pointed in a certain direction. Around the palace hall, around forty or fifty corpses were also visible, but he paid them no mind and even carelessly stepped on some of the corpses. He didn't care about the corpses at all because he already had a destination in mind.

It was a building on the west side of the great hall, and upon opening the door, he could see two people sitting tensely at a round table. One of them was a woman, and the woman screamed in fright when she saw his bloody appearance.

She even tried calling the palace guards, but her high-pitched voice surely wouldn't be able to wake up the deaths. Instead, it only disturbed the man holding the bloodstained sword, and the man finally used his sword to slit the woman's throat. The woman couldn't scream anymore, and her cold body couldn't even flinch on the floor.

He had killed another person, but the man holding the sword still did not feel satisfied. His cold gaze turned to another person staying in the room, and he could see the man in a light blue robe looking at him with fear evident in his eyes.

The man holding the sword then walked slowly towards the man in blue, and he stopped right in front of him. From a distance, he could see how the man's body was shaking, and it was clear that the man had already guessed what was going to happen to him.

The man in blue knew that he was the next to feel how sharp the sword was, but he did not try to scream, nor did he try to run away. Instead, he continued to stare at the man holding the sword with eyes full of fear, but that gaze only made the man holding the sword even angrier.

In the end, the man holding the sword swung his sword towards the head of the man in blue, and in an instant, he didn't see the look full of fear anymore because the head had fallen to the floor. The frightened eyes closed tightly, unable to open again.

His chest was moving up and down rapidly, and his eyes were glued to the head that had just rolled on the floor because of the sharp blade. His hands trembled, and the sword that had claimed so many lives fell to the floor. Mixed emotions appeared in his eyes as he looked at the still head, and he could only scream as if trying to drive the heavy feelings out of his heart.

Zhang Hei suddenly got up from his lying position on the bed, and his breath came in gasps. Even his forehead was covered in sweat, and when he shifted his gaze to observe his surroundings, he realized that he was not in that palace anymore, and instead, he was in his bedroom.

With a heavy sigh, he then tiredly closed his eyes before using his right hand to brush his long hair back so that it no longer covered his face. "That nightmare again," he muttered to himself. "It's been more than four hundred years, but I'm still haunted by that nightmare. The world has changed, everything has changed, and only I remain the same."

His eyes opened again, and his hand no longer tried to push his long hair back. He just stared blankly at the void in front of him. There was only him in the bedroom. The clock on the wall showed that it was still midnight, and he should continue sleeping instead of sitting still in the middle of the bed.

"It must be because of that God of Life," he once again muttered to himself. "That God of Life has already punished me for four hundred years, and it seems like he still has no intention of lifting his curse on me."

The bedroom was shrouded in darkness. Even if his upper body was exposed because he wasn't wearing a shirt to bed tonight, no one would stare at his broad chest and perfect six-pack abs. He didn't bother turning on the lights in the bedroom, but he was shocked when a cluster of lights suddenly appeared in the bedroom, and the light slowly took shape into the body of a white-robed man.

Zhang Hei recognized the man, and he quickly got up from his bed before pointing a finger at the man. "You are the God of Life, aren't you? I have been trying to look for you for the past four hundred years, but you have never appeared before me at all! When will you lift your curse on me? All I want is to die now!"
