Enchanted

Keeping the phone aside, she crawled inside the sheets and tried to get some sleep but couldn't. Thinking for a while, she sighed and picked up her phone again. She wouldn't be able to sleep until she knew he was okay.

She then called him with a very little hope that would answer the call but to her surprise, he did.

"Amber? Is everything okay?" he asked in a very concerned voice.

"Y—Yes," she hesitantly answered. "Everything is fine, I just—" Stopping midway, she sighed.

"Yeah?"

"I—I just wanted to know if you are okay."

"I am fine, what happened?"

"It's nothing. Were you sleeping? Did I disturb you?" She felt so stupid, who calls someone at two in the morning to ask if he is fine?

"I wasn't, I usually sleep late," Ivan answered.

"Okay, you shouldn't stay awake for a long time. I'll hang up now, good night."

"Amber—"

"Huh?"

"Are you sure you are okay?" She sounded very upset and anxious, he was very worried for her.

"I am fine, it's nothing."

He knew she was lying but he didn't want to force her to talk when she clearly didn't want to. "Alright then, don't hesitate to call me if there is something, okay?"

"Okay." After hanging up the call, Amber tossed her phone aside and breathed a sigh of relief. Though she felt stupid and embarassed for calling him so late, she felt at peace after hearing his voice. The fact that he was fine and nothing had happened to him made her feel relaxed and less anxious.

THE WESTGRASS WILDERNESS

Situated in the west of the Mossmoor valley, the Westgrass wilderness was a forbidden forest. It was an enchanted place bounded with spells which kept it hidden from the eyes of the humans and traitors.

The Westgrass wilderness was considered to be the most purest place in the entire Mossmoor valley. It was believed to be protected by powerful ancient witches, warlocks and dark fairies who kept themselves hidden in the woods, never to be seen by anyone.

Sitting on the edge of the cliff in the farthest corner of the forest, Rachael was admiring the sky which was covered with a galaxy of stars.

"I knew I would find you here."

"And I knew you would find me here," she smiled.

Sitting right beside her, Adrian sighed and followed her gaze. "So what are we seeing today?"

"I have no idea, it's just beautiful."

"Of course it is—" Looking at her, he remarked, "It has always been beautiful."

Wrapping her hands around his arm, she placed her head on his shoulder.

"Worried about Ivan?" When she nodded her head, he sighed, "He is gonna be fine."

"I am not just worried about Ivan." Looking at him, she explained, "Ivan thinks Cynthia is doing something weird."

"Well, I won't be shocked if she is really doing something unethical," he chuckled. "Do you want me to look into it?"

Shrugging her shoulders, she answered, "If you want to then you can."

"Oh yes, I want to. Give me a chance to look into it," Adrian stated.
