1 Every Story Has a Beginning and an End

They say that a flutter of butterfly wings can cause a storm. I always believe this statement were nonsense because people forget to mention the pre-requisite: that butterfly must be at the right place at the right time.

Some call it luck. Or misfortune.

Or Destiny.

That our existence and action may affect bigger things.

How high sounding...

Sadly, I never believe that my action can cause a storm, well, may be a slight wind.

I should have known better.

"Oooohoookkk....grrghh...,"

Blood starts to enter my throat.

I wonder why my brain hasn't stopped thinking. Will it stop after I lost more blood?

The sky is grey... How gloomy...

A thick nimbus is steadily moving from my right corner towards the center of my sight.

Rain will come soon. Shit...

Less people to find my body on time.

Would 'they' be able to find me?

Or is this the end?

The end of the war?

Would it be really true?

What should I hope to believe?

Would it be better for me not to know?

Year 2000 AD

I feel like throwing up.

Why? Why? Why do I never get used to this?

You would think I get used to it. After all, it's my third time.

Those eyes of hyenas and vultures...Ok, it's cruel to call your new high schoolmates as hyenas and vultures. But, it's my human rights to exaggerate.

Snap out of it!!! First thing first!

1. Go to the school board to check my class.

"Gahhhh, 1 E ! I need to climb to third level

everyday. Ah, but lucky, it's closed to library"

2. Climb the stairs to check out library while

there is 15 minutes left.

" Closed?! Only open after 8 am... There

goes my motivation to arrive early."

3. Take a deep breath. Hold it for five second.

Exhale... Repeat until the urge to run to the

bathroom is completely gone.

4. Go to class and find a seat, preferably not

too closed to the front or far at the back.

"Why are there so many people in the

class? Where do they sprout from? And

how do they know each other already?

Ah, I spot a seat. Let's go there."

As I sat safely in my seat which seems to be in the center of the classroom, I begin to observe my surrounding.

"Invisibility mode ON! Nobody can see me, nobodycanseeme, nobodycanseeme."

An invisible wall which I know is a figment of my imagination has been erected.

My new classmates are mostly chatting and laughing together. Some are comatose in their seat due to the inhumaneness of school starting time. I agree with this sentiment. I would want to sleep also if I was not too nervous.

Mostly they look like average fifteen year old, with a few has potential good looks.

Some are taĺl (What do they eat?!). Some are short. (Wow, there is a tiny boy that is shorter than me. hehehehe)

Some look like they need more exercise but refuse to have more than a finger exercise (May be we can be friends). Some look like they live for exercise (Those android!)

Conclusion: Normal. A normal classroom with normal human beings. Yep.

A sigh of relief escapes me.

The bell rings with a high pitch sound to ensure no student has an excuse to be late.

Similar like everyone, I start rummaging my bag.

"Pencil case...pencil case... where are you?"

Numerous glinting eyes start to focus at the seat in the centre of the classroom.

The War has recommenced!
