"How do you feel my child?" Auntie Zhou woke Chen Waan up and brought her piping hot breakfast to her bed.

"Auntie Zhou! What time is it?" Chen Waan woke up panicked. Did she miss the schedule? They were supposed to leave early morning the next day but she forgot to put an alarm. After having tea yesterday, she had gone back to sleep.

Then she remembered someone feeding her dinner and her going back to sleep after that again. If she connected all the dots, it was definitely Mo Yifan who had fed her. What had she done! He was basically her employer but she made him feed her food?

She tried to recall if they had any conversation but she was too much affected by medicines. She did not remember at all if she told him something she should not have.

"It's okay, calm down. Zibo and Fan Fan both left. Fan Fan explained us what was going on and gave you an off," Auntie Zhou, with her warm smile, kept the breakfast on Chen Waan's table and then helped her to the washroom.

"Go get ready. Since you have gotten a medical leave today, we will nurse you back to health right away," Auntie Zhou dragged her to the washroom lovingly. The way this old lady treated her, Chen Waan's heart was always full of warm feelings whenever she was with her.

She had never had any love from her parents. She did not even know who her father was. Then, when she received personal care like this, it made her feel like part of the family.

And she was already going through an emotional roller coaster because of hormones, tears suddenly started falling from her eyes.

"Wha-what happened?" Auntie Zhou got really worried when she warm tears graced her. She was going to leave her in the washroom and close the door but when she felt hot liquid on her arm, she got scared. She had not hurt the girl, had she?

Chen Waan knew that she would not behave like this usually. Right now, she was not in the right mind. Suddenly too many good things were happening to her and this kind of happiness really was frightening. What if she got used to it and then everything was taken away from her? Her life had not been easy till now after all.

She wiped her tears. "Sorry to scare you Auntie. I probably was having a sad dream. The emotions from there lingered on, I guess." Chen Waan smiled warmly. Auntie Zhou was the only one before whom she could show any emotions.

Well of course, she did end up making a show out of herself in front of Mo Yifan, but she wanted to make sure that it was a one time thing.

"Oh, my dear child. Come here. Sad dreams are premonition of something good coming your way. Don't worry," Auntie Zhou took the girl in her embrace and gave her a hug, loose enough to not hurt her stomach.

"Oh yeah, do you experience such kind of pain often? I heard from Fan Fan how bad condition you were in but you refused to go to hospital."

"Ah! Actually, I do experience pain every month but this time it was probably because I changed the country and whole environment changed for me. It should not be this bad next month," Chen Waan replied, sniffling a bit.

She did not want anyone to be worried because of her. She hugged the old woman back and went inside the restroom to finally freshen up. She was starving and could not bear it anymore.

Later, she had a sumptuous meal. Auntie Zhou kept her company, giving her tips on managing her pains during the time she would be promoting as an idol. That future sounded very distant to her. She had not even heard about any training, yet everyone was behaving as if she were to debut tomorrow.

"Auntie, has Mo Yifan always lived here since he started working?" Chen Waan asked Auntie Zhou. There was no one at home and for awkward silence was building up at the table, she just randomly inquired from the person who seemed to know most about the things around.

Mrs. Zhou looked up from her newspaper and tried to gauge the girl's interest in her lovely Fan Fan. There had been quite a few girls who had tried to climb into his bed, but this girl was someone she personally approved of. She had even praised Wang Zenghao to have brought this girl here.

When she saw that the young girl was asking the question out of boredom, slight disappointment flashed through the old lady's eyes. But again, the two people were living under the same roof. Sooner or later, they were bound to develop feelings for each other. Of course, it also depended on Zenghao's ability to keep his own son away from here.

"Fan Fan? No, the company has a rule, they settle the trainees first in the dormitory of WhirlWind Entertainment. Then after debut, if they perform well, they are shifted to individual houses at the neighborhood of their choice after a year. Fan Fan was definitely a special case, he did not need to go through a long period of training. But he did end up living with a few other boys there. Anyway, Zenghao makes sure to choose the trainees properly. If they are found indulging in unacceptable behavior, they are kicked out at trainee stage only," Auntie Zhou replied to Chen Waan. She realized that the old lady spoke of Wang family and Mo Yifan very fondly, as if they were her own family.

"Oh," Chen Waan had no idea about this. She had tried looking him up but this kind of information was not available at all. The only articles about him were after his debut and him living in a dorm was something not known to outside public.

For some reason she felt like she would have her hands on too much inside information from now on. Was this good or bad thing, she had no idea.

"So he came here two years ago. He is such a sweet child, I don't know why he has to project himself as a serious and cold guy in front of others and then also act as warm to the people he interacts with. Entertainment industry is such a cruel world, but I can't say anything, it is my bread and butter too," Auntie Zhou sighed, continuing her story.

"Is he originally not like that?" Chen Waan was astonished that the guy who seemed like he was so done with the world and that everyone was his enemy, was a warm person? So then, yesterday, him caring for her was not acting?

"Of course. Even though his parents have not been very good to him, he still ended up growing into a kind person. And that shows when he is working with other people. But he also had to mature at such a young age much too quickly to survive in the industry. Ultimately, he started distrusting people. Ah! Waan'er, don't take his rude behavior to your heart, okay? He does not mean it but he can't just trust people easily," the old lady held the girl's hands.

The girl herself was trying to decipher the meaning behind the old lady's words. Those were too deep to understand without the context. It seemed like the guy was hiding too many wounds behind his cold appearance. No wonder he was always frowning at her.

He had reached where he had reached with hard work and she was going to ride on his fame just like that. That was a huge issue, but she also was not going to debut without proving her own worth.

After they finished the breakfast, she received a summon again from Wang Zenghao.
