The husband is not a bother

"Actually it's about the two of you," Director An started, "Mr. Fan, the one who led you here, informed me earlier that were a crowd of reporters spotted outside the site. It was easy for them to find this place, you two know that right?"

Zhang Lian and Li Zuo Jin both nodded.

The fact they they were filming here isn't a secret anymore. There were even fans outside the mansion everyday waiting for them. If the fans knew the place, how could the reporters not?

"They wanted to get scoop about the two of you since you announced the other day that you were dating. However we just can't let them interrupt the shooting. It might even reveal the scenes we are currently making right now." Director An explained in distress.

"For half an hour, we tried persuade them that we are not giving them time to interview the two of you but they just won't give up." Producer Wang added, "We have handled this like this before and it went well. This time, the reporters were truly persistent." Producer Wang's eyebrows furrowed.

"You might have to deal with them later when we finish shooting scenes. Our crew will help you, of course. I hope this won't happen again."

Li Zuo Jin felt guilty. It was him who asked Zhang Lian to date him. It was not like he hadn't think of the possibilities that will occur, but his emotions were stronger than his worries.

He looked at manager, was standing at the back of the producer and director, Yi Qin looked calm inside but Li Zuo Jin was sure how annoyed Yi Qin was.

Sure, Li Zuo Jin has been in the industry for years now however Yi Qin haven't handled a crowd of reporters. How would could Yi Qin protect him?

Li Zuo Jin saw Zhang Lian's manager sighed, "There's nothing we can do about it." Tang Mao glanced at Li Zuo Jin and Zhang Lian, "but we have to settle this right now before it cause us more trouble."

"How are we going to do that?" Yi Qin asked.

Tang Mao turned his face to Yi Qin's direction, "I'm also thinking about that."

Both Li Zuo Jin and Yi Qin were dumbfounded. Li Zuo Jin thought that Tang Mao had already an idea how they were going to deal with it.

"We'll also try to help settle this problem," Producer Wang added.

Director An sighed then clapped his hands, "Let's resume filming. We'll start in 20 minutes." Director announced. He turned to the other crew, "Please inform those included in the scene to stand by."

The crew nodded and rushed out the door to notify others about it.

"Then, we'll also leave now Director An and Producer Wang," Zhang Lian said. The director and producer nodded.

Li Zuo Jin bowed, "I'm really sorry for the trouble."

Director An smiled, "It's okay. It's okay. You should enjoy your life."

Li Zuo Jin have worked with Producer An before but this was his first time working with the renowned Director An. Even though Director An was a director, there was also rumors about him in the industry. It was said that Director An once had a lover but never got the chance to marry her because he was focused in his work. Nobody knew if this rumor was real, but Director An remained who was already 47 years old still remained unmarried.

Li Zuo Jin and Zhang Lian bid goodbyes before returning to the North Hall. It was the place where current scene was supposed to be filmed. From East Hall, it would take at least 10-15 minutes walk to reached North Hall.

They were left all alone, walking into the the long passage connecting the North and East Hall.

Although they were alone, neither of them knew what to talk about. They were conscious about every single move of another.

Li Zuo Jin couldn't take it anymore, he started the conversation, "How was your day?"

Li Zuo Jin was looking at Zhang Lian so he saw when she twitched when he spoke.

"Hm?" Zhang Lian who was stunned, looked at Li Zuo Jin.

For the second time this day, their eyes met.

"My day went well!" Zhang Lian answered nervously and averted her gaze.

Li Zuo Jin felt sad, their eyes only met for a second yet Zhang Lian immediately diverted her gaze.

Dating was supposed to bring them more closer, how come it seems like dating drifted them apart?

"I see. That's good then," Li Zuo Jin smiled with a hint of sadness in his eyes.

Li Zuo Jin never heard a reply from Zhang Lian after he spoke. Silence and awkwardness once again overlapped them.

Li Zuo Jin wondered until when they would continue feeling uncomfortable with each other.

Zhang Lian pursed her lips before speaking, "How about you? Yu Feng Mian told me that you came by to say hello earlier."

Li Zuo Jin's heart skip. Zhang Lian continued the conversation!

"Ah, yes." Li Zuo Jin replied, "But it seems like she's doing your make up. I didn't want to disturb you so I just dropped by."

Li Zuo Jin and Zhang Lian walk side by side, with the same pace. By the distance between them were gradually become closer. Li Zuo Jin didn't noticed how the space between were decreasing.

"But you won't bother me though!" Zhang Lian cheerly said.

Li Zuo Jin's mood brighten up, "Really?"

Zhang Lian turned her head towards Li Zuo Jin, "Of course. Why would you be a bother?"

Li Zuo Jin covered his face that was as red as tomatoes. He seems girly, but how can you resist such an innocent yet alluring woman like Zhang Lian?

He obviously can't!
