Bottled Water and Sandwich

Zhang Lian and Jian Shufen were happily talking in the corner as the crew was still preparing the set and props for the next scene. Before, Zhang Lian and Li Zuo Jin would practice together but because they haven't gotten used being together, they avoid each other.

"Uhm.. Ms. Zhang," both girls heard a voice from their back. They recognized him as one of the crew of their production. The guy was obviously feeling embarrassed talking to them, "Good morning." The guy bowed and lifted his body before continuing, "Mr. Li just asked me to hand this water and sandwich." the crew said as he extended his hands that has bottle of water and a sandwich on them.

Zhang Lian was startled, "Ah..? Thank you...?" As if Zhang Lian's hands were possessed by a spirit, she lifted her hand to accept the small gifts of Li Zuo Jin.

"Then Ms. Zhang, I'm gonna go back to my work," the crew turned back to return to his work.

Jian Shufen was watching Zhang Lian, she had been watching her friend stared in space after Zhang Lian received a small gift from her boyfriend. She smiled genuinely for her friend, "You've finally experience having someone you like," Jian Shufen softly said.

Zhang Lian turned her body into Jian Shufen's direction, "..what?"

"It was obvious that you liked Brother Li Zuo Jin! Or else you wouldn't be stupefied by a simple present like that!" Jian Shufen pointed out, "It's just a simple bottled water and sandwich, how come you were caught off guard by that?" Jian Shufen added.

Jian Shufen saw how her friend stared into her and back to the bottled water and sandwich in her hands, she didn't expect she would see her friend like this. An idea suddenly crossed her mind, she brought out her smartphone and took a picture if her petrified friend.

With the the shutter's sound of the phone, Zhang Lian's consciousness finally woke up. "Sister Shufen? Did you just took a picture of me?" Zhang Lian blushed intensely, her ears even went red. She was so embarrassed, how could she let her friend see her like this.

"Yep!" Jian Shufen said teasingly. Zhang Lian thought how this friend of her loved teasing her.

"Please delete that, sister!" Zhang Lian pleaded. She looked like she was gonna cry any moment. At that second, Zhang Lian heard a continuous sound of notification in her phone. She didn't know whether she should look at it first or persuade her sister to delete it.

"It's okay," Jian Shufen sincerely said, "Check your phone first. It might be from Brother Li Zuo Jin."

Zhang Lian looked at Jian Shufen before checking her phone. When Zhang Lian

[Shufen: Guess who received a small gift from her lover?]

[Lanfen: Ah!! Is that our friend, Lian?]

[Chunhua: So the news is true! Xiao Lian is now dating her main lead?]

[Yi Ze: Sister Lian is really in love huh?]

[Nian Zhen: I'm surprised by this! Thank you for the picture sister Shufen!]

[Yi Ze: Yeah! Sister Lian wouldn't say anything to us!]

The group chat was in chaos. Their friends who were clueless and curious is now appearing. Zhang Lian felt a little guilty, since her and Li Zuo Jin's decision to date was so sudden, she wasn't able to inform her friends about it.

Zhang Lian looked back to Jian Shufen who was looking away from her. Tears were streaming down from her eyes. Sister Shufen, why are you doing this to me!!

At the same time, Zhang Lian heard another sound of notification on her phone. This time it was a text message.

[Li Zuo Jin: Please rest and eat well.]

A simple message yet it made Zhang Lian's heart skip a beat! She tried to suppressed her smile so she blushed instead. She's blushing more frequently these days. Something must be wrong with her blood. It kept rushing into her head!

"Hmm... What is it Lian?" Jian Shufen, who became suspicious because of Zhang Lian's expression, asked.

"Nothing!" Zhang Lian immediately answered and put her attention into her phone again.

What should she reply? What should she say? Her brains stopped circulating, but her heart wasn't calming down.

Ahh. So this is what it feels to like someone, Zhang Lian thought. Every single thing made her nervous. She easily become conscious of everything you she does. It was all new to her.

[Lian: Thank you for the water and sandwich! Rest well! Let's eat together next time!]

Zhang Lian sighed and put her phone at her chin, she felt relieved after she replied to Li Zuo Jin's message. It was as if she overcome the greatest hurdle in her life.

On the same place, a guy who was relaxing in her seat was browsing internet when a notification suddenly popped out of the screen.

[Lian: Thank you for the water and sandwich! Rest well! Let's eat together next time!]

Li Zuo Jin was flustered, he stared at the screen of his phone for a long time and instantly became red like he was a tomato.

Yi Qin who was sitting beside Li Zuo Jin noticed at his friend grinning like a madman while blushing, "What the hell is wrong with you? You're scaring me."

"Lian said thank you and we should eat together next time." Li Zuo Jin replied while pointing his finger in his phone, intentionally letting Yi Qin see the message.

Yi Qin stared dumbly at his friend. "What..?"

His friend has gone crazy. This was all because of that bottled water and sandwich!
