4 Chapter 3

Jaya

After Kay left I decided to read some of our history books. I read a few pages before I had to put it away. My mind was racing for what would come tomorrow. I finally just layed down. As I stared at the ceiling I heard an aged female voice.

"You are now my charge." it whispered. I felt as if an Icy hand just grabbed my mind and shoved a bunch of knowledge into it. I finally fell asleep. I woke up at 10 am to get ready for our blood ceremony. I took a quick shower and put on my best dress no doubt in my mind I would need to go buy new clothes after the ceremony. I was ready before 11 am, I opened my door and walked to Kay's room to get her up. As I got to her room I heard her moving around. I opened her door and walked in.

"Hey Kay.'' I said. Kay jumped and spun around to face me.

''Oh hey Jaya, you scared me!'' she exclaimed as she turned back to doing her things. I walked over and sat on her bed.

"How come you're up so early?'' I asked her. She sat on the bed and looked at me.

"Today we turn 16, so today is our blood ceremony.'' She replied. I stood up and walked over to her wardrobe and picked out her favorite dress, since this will be the last day wearing it. Her favorite dress was black as night, and the lace was blood red with knife shapes woven into it.

''Come on we got to get you dressed, then we got to go get Jill up.'' I said.

"Yeah, Hell knows she won't be up.'' Kay laughed with a hint of evilness.
