Smack!

It was so loud that it startled the people upstairs and downstairs.

Sophia went up to Norman and slapped him right on the face.

Norman looked at her in disbelief.

He had provoked so many women in his life, but he had never been slapped in the face.

Although he had inexplicably "slept" with Sophia, he didn't have much memory of that night, which caused him so much trouble. No matter how he looked at it, it wasn't to his advantage.

Sophia insisted on having the child of a one-night stand. Was he in the wrong to give her a sum of money instead?

Sophia did not want Norman to see her cry. After the slap, she turned away from him.

When Sophia turned around, she found that there was another man standing in the corridor.

It was the man she had seen in the backyard pool.
