3 Chapter 2: The Couple

The couple goes to Ashley and says, "Thank you." They tell her their names are John and Kelly. Ashley begins to walk away and John says, "Wait, can we come with you?" Ashley nodded and felt something was wrong with John and Kelly. There was an uneasy feeling about these two, like of hunger and destruction.

Ashley walked and kept an eye on the couple. She couldn't trust people she just met. It was getting dark so she went to an apartment and made sure it was cleared. The couple John and Kelly slept in the living room while Ashley slept in the bed room. She had her hunting knife under her pillow, and the rifle leaning on the nightstand.

John wakes up and tells Kelly, "I'm thirsty Kelly." She tells him to go to sleep. John goes to the bedroom door and opens it quietly. He skulks around until he is close to Ashley. His fangs grow sharp and his eyes change to a black color. He leans close to her to quench his thirst.

Ashley turns with knife in hand and stabs his eye. He snarls and leaps at her. She sidesteps and rolls for her rifle leaning on the nightstand. Before she grabs it John grabs her leg and bites it putting some of his blood in her. She kicks him off and stabs him in the other eye.

Ashley grabs him and punches him in the face several times. Soon she starts to feel hunger in her. She yells at John and says, "What the hell did you do to me!?" He laughs and says, "I made you a vampire, a being of the night with tremendous strength." Ashley's fangs grow and she bites John on the neck.

John yells and his struggling decreases as his life force leaves his body. Ashley let's his body fall to the ground with a thud. She starts to feel her senses heightening and getting better. She leaves the room and goes to the bathroom to get cleaned and change her clothes. She comes out and spots Kelly sleeping.

Ashley goes to Kelly and wakes her up. Ashley asked Kelly, "Are you a vampire too?" Kelly says, "Yes, but I told John to go back to sleep." Ashley says, "Is there a cure for this disease?" Kelly says, "There is no cure, but if you don't want to be a vampire, you can always become a werewolf."

Ashley grabs Kelly and says, "Where can I find a werewolf if I choose to be one?" Kelly says, "Look in the woods on a night of the full moon maybe you'll be lucky enough to run into a loner." Ashley drops Kelly and says, "What about you, what will you do now?" Ashley packs her stuff to leave the apartment. Kelly simply says, "Survive."
