Chapter 28 Survived

John had never seen Caden before "Mr, are you maybe one of the knights they send to come and save me?", John asked this question when looking at this hooded man. The hooded man then looked at John for a moment "we will talk later John, let me first handle this guy" Caden said.

Jones was still a little confused, he was thinking how this new hooded man just snatched the boy out of his grasp, for a moment he looked at his own hands that is still in the same position where he held John, he then looked at the hooded figure standing before him "Who are you, why are you interfering in my business…get lost or I'll let you join the boy in the afterlife".

Caden slowly took out the samurai sword that was strapped to his back and pointed it at Jones "I am sorry wolf, but I am here to save the boy, surrender or die". Without saying another word, Jones dashed towards Caden at great speed, however, Caden was very composed, when Jones entered his striking range, he made a diagonal slash.

Blood sprayed from Jones chest and he had a shocked expression on his face, he thought that he can out speed the figure before him, catching him off-guard but he was gravely mistaken. Jones took a step back and observed the wounds on his chest, which was already healing, he then looked the hooded figure "I underestimated you, leech". Jones eyes then turned yellow and his fangs grew longer and Caden responded by also transforming where his eyes turned red accompanied with black veins under it. They both started to charge at each other but Caden took out two throwing knives and both of the knives that Caden threw, hit their mark on Jones chest area. Yet, to Jones these small knives was just a minor inconvenience and he just slapped them from his chest.

Caden then turned to look at John "John, take the maid and move to a safer position", John nodded and gently picked up Elena

Jones then started to think about his daughter that is captured "The only place the boy is going to, is hell!" he then moved to attack John but Caden intervened and appeared before him, giving him multiple slashed to the body, blood was splashing everywhere, when Caden gave a downward slash, his arms were stopped by Jones.

Jones smiled and threw Caden against a huge tree, causing a huge dent in it. While Caden was still stuck in the tree, Jones followed up with a vicious knee in Caden's stomach, knocking the wind out of the vampire. "Why are you so weak leech" Jones asked Caden while standing over him. Caden gave a couple of coughs "Well, I was woken up recently, my power is still recovering, but I don't need to be at full power to beat the likes of you" Caden then disappeared from where he was laying and appeared behind Jones's back "Blood Punch"

Bam!

Caden punched Jones in the back and sending him flying through the huge dented tree. Caden went to the spot where he dropped his sword and he picked it up "where is that fucker" he then dashes to the direction where he punched Jones.

John was busy running away with Elena and he noticed that her wound was slowly starting to heal, she later gave a slight moan because of the pain she was starting to feel "Elena, are you awake?". Elena opened her eyes "yes master, I feel my energy returning, but I need more rest, I am going to close my eyes for a little bit longer". John then put Elena down on the ground "listen Elena, you must not tell anyone that you were bitten by the werewolf"

Elena was confused at what John just said "why young master". "I will tell you when we make it out of here, if anyone ask, just tell them that you were bitten by the bear and it took longer to heal or make something up"

Elena only nodded her head "Promise me Elena". John looked into Elena's eyes "I promise young master that I will tell no one that I was bitten by the werewolf"

"Good" John then picked Elena up and started to run again only to find that there was a figure ahead of them, when John came closer, he saw it was Jones waiting for them, but he looked tired and injured.

*Huff, huff*

"What took you so long boy" Jones then started to walk towards John and Caden also arrived. Caden then pointed the sword at Jones "Who send you wolf? Speak, why do you want with the boy?".

Jones feeling that he will not make it, the last punch caused his body to use a lot of energy to heal "I cannot say", he then closed his eyes "Goodbye Dena, daddy is sorry daddy couldn't save you, I hope you can forgive me" he thought about his daughter. Jones then mustered all the power he has and started to charge at Caden.

"So be it" Caden readied himself "Blood breathing", Caden then feels his blood flowing smoothly and his power ever rising, he then also dashed at Jones "Blood blade strike". They both passed each other and Caden put his sword back in its sheath and Jones head rolled on the ground with blood gushing everywhere "I could feel the pain inside your heart wolf, but you can rest easy now".

John had a shocked expression on his face, he has never seen somebody's head chopped of cleanly, he couldn't even see the whole seen as everything happened in a flash. Caden then appeared next to him and put his hand on John's shoulder, John then turned his head slowly at Caden "Let's go home" Caden said, John said nothing and turned his head to look at Jones body with the missing head, blood was flowing everywhere on the ground, John then just squeezed Elena closer to himself and started walking.

The next day when Elena opened her eyes, she saw that Anna was standing before her "Good morning darling, how did you sleep?". Elena did not say anything for a few seconds "uhm, it was good my lady". "I want to thank you for taking such good care of my sweet John, I will surely reward you for your good services"

"Uh…no my lady, young master John actually protected me, I was gravely injured and he stabbed the werewolf with a dagger that was coated with the silvereye spider poison and escaped, afterwards, I was attacked by a bear and was unconscious ever since, I don't know what happened after that but the fact that I am still here means that John actually saved me, I need no reward my lady".

Anna then walked to Elena's side "I know darling, John told me everything, I just wanted to hear what you have to say" Anna then softly caressed Elena's cheek "But you were still there with him, you are the reason he is still breathing, he like you very much Elena, I hope you know it, you cannot be his wife but you can still warm his bed". Elena said nothing.

"You can take the rest of the week off" Anna then moved to exit the door when Elena asked "my lady". Anna then stopped and turned to look at Anna "If I may ask, where is young master John". Anna then gave her a light smile "You should look to your right. When Elena looked, she saw John in a deep sleep in the corner of the room, she then turned to look at Anna "He never left your side" Anna then exited the room, only leaving John and Elena.

After a min, Elena turned to her side in the bed with her head facing John, she looked at John with a warmly smile on her face "Thank you young master John for protecting this lowly maid" Elena thought, she then closed her eyes and went to sleep.
