17 My Squad

I wake up to the sound of my communicator buzzing so I answer and see my boss Chief investigator Bob Jenkins looking extremely pissed off.

"What's happening sir you look upset"?

"Upset I'm not upset I'm pissed off. You killed an unnatural creature using unnatural means in front of civilians and now you have to deal with it".

"What do you mean deal with it sir".

"Kill ,blackmail,or coerce them and while your at it you are going to build a team of people to help you handle it so do you have any people that would work Sgt"?

"Yes sir I'd like yang lei who is a Chinese tech and drone expert willing to defect,Sergei Petrov ex-spetznaz who is willing to work with me as long as we let him bring his daughter, Mark Johnson the cop I've been working with he's ex force recon and can keep his mouth shut,Carla Johnson Mark's daughter ex boxer and very tight lipped, and Bubba Jackson the hunter who fought bearzilla with a knife.

"Can't say I'm thrilled about your choices but they'll be at house within 2 days except the hunter whose in intensive care. Alright get their gear ready and go fuck off"

"Yes sir"

After that I call Mark and Carla and tell them to meet me at the house which they agree to and they arrive within maybe twenty minutes and the first thing Mark asks is "hey rookie what's this about"?

"Well long story short guys I'm not really a deputy at least not entirely I'm actually work for a federal agency whose purpose is too prevent the unnatural from hurting people. Any questions"?

"Uh just one. What does that have to do with us kid?" Mark asks with his hand on his pistol.

"Relax Mark I'm just asking if you want to be part of my team to help me out".

"Oh hahaha I kinda thought you were gonna kill us. What would the perks be if any?"

"Well for starters I don't have to silence you, you get to use gear that's years ahead of everyone else and you learn about the real world not just the bullshit history books taught you".

"Ok I'm in" Mark says.

"Me too Pat" says Carla

"And that means Bubba is in" I say as my phone rings.

"Ok so now we just wait for yang and Sergei to show up and then we can get started".
