2 New beginning

"I accept."

After those words left my mouth I've seen him smile gently, then he directed his left hand toward me and placed it on top of my head.

Suddenly I felt a rush of warmth go through my whole body, my eyelids slowly closed themselves on their own as my consciousness drifted away.

"Farewell my child..."

"Ugh..." I slowly tried to open my eyes as I feel my headache intensifying, it felt like I've slept forever.

Right after I opened my eyes a sudden rush of memories ran through my brain increasing the level of my headache even more, I couldn't even make up where those memories came from.

After opening my eyes I went straight to the bathroom to wash my face, oddly enough this unknown house felt very familiar, I even instinctively knew where the bathroom was situated even though I'm certain I've never been here before.

While washing my face memories of my conversation with Adam slowly came back to me and I started realizing what my current situation was like.

'Well let me first fully wake up and then I'll take my time to figure things out.'

I started brushing my teeth when suddenly I got my second shock of the day which nearly made me choke and die after 5minutes of enjoying my new life.

"So a new life also meant a new body huh..." I said as I looked at myself in the mirror, my whole face seemed different even if my slightly tan color remained the same, my old rough face changed into a more innocent and young one? I had dark brown short hair and light brown eyes similar to my past life but this time they seemed way more bright.

It seems like some part of my memories were sealed, all my memories about past friends and family seems to have been erased, it's a very weird feeling to be aware of their existence but have no memory of them whatsoever.

I remember Adam mentioning that I could get answers from someone once I accept his proposition but while I have some knowledge about a few system stories I've read I have no knowledge whatsoever about the *Human system*.

Right when I thought of the name *Human system*, a screen appeared in front of me out of thin air.

[Greeting host! Human system started the assimilation process]

I look at the screen with my eyes wide open, if we don't count my dream like encounter with Adam this is my first time seeing something so out of the ordinary.

[3hrs left until the end of the assimilation]

*sigh* everything today seems to be adding up to increase my headache, and it seems like the system needs some time to be fully assimilated, so maybe I should use that time to relax and try to put some order in my thoughts.

Ever since I woke up in this foreign place and in a new body I've also had many new mixed up memories, I should start by trying to understand who I am.

After 2hrs of looking through my own memories and trying to put some order in there I finally understood who I am.

My first name is Amon and my family name is Daisetsu. A 15 year old kid who very recently lost both of his parents who were supposed to join him in Japan. His father seems to be Japanese while his mother is a foreigner which explains his slightly darker skin color. They all used to live together but his father decided to move to Japan for his job, Amon got sent there first while his parents finished some work in America but unfortunately they died in a plane crash on the way back.

'That's sad to say but those circumstances are very convenient for me, I don't see myself being all lovey dovey with a family which I have no attachment to, tho it seems like the old owner of this body liked them a lot since after their death he fell in deep depression and killed himself which allowed me to take over his body. I can't deny this situation is ideal for me'

I still had one more hour before the system is completely assimilated so I décider to try to search for more details that could help me

Well it seems like I'm pretty lucky since the parents of this young boy used to be moderately rich, and the other very interesting fact I could gather is that I'm going to be transferred to a Japanese school called Bonyari high school in exactly one week.

I look up at the still unfamiliar ceiling on top of my head while my thoughts start drifting off again

'It seems like I get to enjoy a new beginning, in a totally new environment, I'll surely get to meet new people, but if I don't find myself a goal I will for sure end up wasting this life like the first life I've lived. I do have a mission, "saving humanity" he said... Well it's easier said than done. I should be looking over humanity? But this goal isn't really mine, it's more of a burden and a responsibility given to me...'

Right as I felt my thoughts drifting even further into the cycle of endless questioning a bright blue screen popped up in front of my face and took me out of my dazed state
