1 Forgotten

My life was peaceful. slow and even boring at times. Schools Downloaded information into your brain. back a few centuries ago it took a whole year to learn what we learn in a week.

all social interaction that happened was done via the web or through Virtual reality. barely anyone needed to leave their homes. then the world calapsed almost overnight. the AI built to protect the planet from aliens or colonist bombed the planet. the last thing I remebered was seeing bright red pillars of light drilling into the crust as far as the eye could see.

the shockwave hit me hard from multiple directions. large buildings toppled as I was crushed by the blow. next thing I know Im awake. I can't see anything as Im under a large layer of dirt. it takes we a while but I finally manage to unbury myself. I cough and puke as soon as my face hits cold air.

I feel cold, sick, and exausted curling up in a ball. I notice Im stark naked other than rags hanging over my shoulders. After awile I decide to get up and look around. As i look at the horizon I see nothing for miles. what used to be a city with buildings so tall youd think they held up the sky itself now was a flat plain. tall grass as far as the eye could see. which admittedly wasn't far.

seeing so much grass was weird as the only grass left was in parks or as decorations for the rich. my attention gets Drawn upwards. the sky was beautiful. hundreds of millions of stars covered the sky with colors and lights. I kind of just stood there gaping at it. light pollution made to to where maybe Id get to see one or two stars on a good day. but never like this. I had envied the colonists to the stars who had the chance to see it without all the lights. I have a buddy who spoke about it all the time.

Or Had. after the bombing it doesn't look like much is left anyway. but hey im alive. he might be too. I had a few friends but he was the one who got me. I look around pick a direction and walk.

walking around in tall grass isnt as easy as I thought. I couldn't see anything unless I jumped and even then not much information from a sea of Dark green. plus getting slapped in the face by grass blades as you walk through them was getting annoying.

After what seemed like hours the grass ended abrubtly. I had zoned out and kept walking. my daze abruptly ended when greeted with new things to look at. in the distance there where people. I rush towards what seemed to be a small settlement. as I get closer I notice large men and women walking around the outskirts of the settlement. the guys were easily 8ft tall and the women nearby the men where nearly just as tall being 7ft 6in or so tall. they wore big bulky armor and covering every part of their body. I only knew the difference of gender due to a few with their helmets under their arms and chatting together. I slow my approach feeling uneasy. they had large handguns big enough to break my wrist if i tried to shoot one. I look deeper in the settlement. the people look average i wasnt certain but they looked normal sized. a few kids ran from hut to hut screaming in joy as what i can only assum is a dog chased them around. it wad massive its shoulders reached the shoulders of the adults in the settlement. it had 6 legs and 2 rows of teeth but it had its long fork tongue hanging out the side of its mouth as it bounced back and forth between the kids licking happily the kid it pinned the kid giggling and giving pats in return. I break out of my daze and look around again. there are 3 large Guards staring at me. two pull their guns and aim the third pulls out a horn from his belt and blows into it. the settlement goes quiet kids getting grabbed by worried mothers. there is a Howl and the dog looking things dissapears running on its six legs deeper into the settlement. I put my hands up looking around a bit scared. Two large women walk towards me their rather large guns pointed at my head. one speaks I expect not to understand as they look alien but suprisingly I understand "who are you and what do you want" her voice is frim and commanding. i cant see her face as shes and the other woman are wearing helmets. I respond "uh, Honesly no idea." then i realise im still naked and the other one is checking me out. my face flushes and i put my hands down to cover the dangly bits. unfortunately they didnt seem to understand me as the girl checking me out a second ago asks "what did he say sis" she had a sweeter voice like the sweet girl next door. the bigger one shrugs. "not my problem, my jobs to keep the ones in the village safe. it'll be your job soon" with almost no hesitation after he sentence she pulls up her gun slightly and fires at me. the bullet hits me hard in the head and I go flying a good 10ft feeling embarrassed and my head now hurt. I get up rubbing my head. not even a welt but it still hurt like a bitch. I look up and at the lady who just shot me and said "F*ck you lady, that hurt" honestly couldnt tell her emotion as she froze mid turn looked back at me. I push myself out of the dirt and walk towards her. in the background i see a large pack of those dog things now lining up next to a few of the large guards teeth bared the growling audible from a few hundred feet away.

the big lady walks toward my swiftly she takes 3 or 4 long steps and picks me up by my neck put the large gun to my abdomen and fires 3 rounds. i feel like my gut is being torn apart and i scream she then tosses me up in the air as if i weigh as much as a pillow and drop kicks me towards the settlement which is now surounded by large dogs. now Im 19 about 6ft tall and. she punted me like I was a football. needless to say it hurt a lot. then i realise im now surrounded by a pack of angry looking dogs. I get pulled and bit and i scream my way through it. after what seems like forever i hear a whistle and the dog like creatures back away. I look down and I'm shocked to find im fine. not a scratch on me

and so was the now dubbed 'scary strong lady' I get up just to be grabbed by the hair while I glare at scary strong lady. a Deep Male voice comes from behind "what are you. Deva you do the honors Ill hold him." a woman around 7ft 3in walks from the crowd. she pounds her fists together and they start to glow with purple light. she then hawls off and punches me in the jaw. the world goes white then I get Hit again and the world fades. then i hear "tough son of a b*itch wont die. all you managed to do was knock the....."
