5 Blade

The caves were narrow and cold. There were many pathways for us to take, so we had to map out all of the pathways so that we didn't get lost.

"Hey Hiro, check this out." Xylvia said.

Xylvia was looking at a shiny purple colored crystal. There was a good chunk of it sticking out of the wall.

"That's an Alluring Crystal," I said with excitement.

"Really?! I've never seen one before!"

"These crystals get their name for how "alluring" they are to people. There extremely rare. These things are only sold at jewelry stores as far as I'm aware. There used for things like earrings, bracelets, necklaces, engagement rings..."

When I said engagement rings, I could feel my face becoming hot. I took a quick glance at Xylvia, but then immediately looked away. If this cave wasn't as dark as it was, she would've totally saw me blushing.

"Anyway, we s-should take this with us as s-some kind of acc-accomplishment for finding these caves." I said struggling to find words.

"Great idea." Xylvia said.

I pulled out my knife and began carefully carving out the edges to loosen the crystal. After a few moments of carving, I was finally able to get the crystal out of the wall.

"Yes," Xylvia said pumping her fist. "Up top!"

We smack our hands together.

"Alright, let's see if carving out this crystal triggered any type of magic," I said. "Hiro Satomi: Register-Stats!"

My stats pulled up from my right hand where I activated that Character Orb two years ago.

Stats showed us how powerful our magical powers were. Since I wasn't summoned as a hero, I wasn't given more powerful stats than the ones that I had. However, this didn't stop me from doing everything I could to become the world's greatest adventurer.

Name: Hiro Satomi. Age: 20. Gender: Male

Summon Type: Commoner. Magic attack: 30

Magic Defense: 45. Skills: Flame Magic, Water Magic, Earth Magic, Magic Recovery.

"I guess it didn't have any type of magic." I said.

Our stats could only help with our magic abilities. Fighting with only a sword required strength and shear willpower. Luckily, you can combine your sword with your magic to deliver some pretty powerful blows. However, I only trained so that I could have the strength to go on adventures. I wasn't exactly a fighter, unless it was against weak monsters.

"Man, this cave just keeps going doesn't it." Xylvia said.

"I wonder what we'll find at the end of this place," I said. "This is the only pathway that we have left."

Xylvia and I discovered this cave when we traveled to a village over a hundred miles south from the Town of Colors. When we told the people of the village about what we do, they were, of course, surprised. Adventurers were considered a foreign thing in this world. Ever since the war between the Army of Light and the Army of Darkness began, people started to become afraid of leaving their towns or even their houses. They just didn't have the courage to be able to explore because of the war. I was different, however. So was Xylvia. I remember the day that we made the oath of never backing down from an adventure like it happened just yesterday.

"I swear," we had both said. "I swear to never back down from a chance at an adventure, even if we're in the middle of a war!"

Since then, I've had the best two years of my life.

"Hey Hiro, whatcha spacing out for?" Xylvia asked me.

"Oh, I was just thinking back to our oath that we made two years ago." I said.

"Man, time sure does fly does it?"

"Yeah..."

Keeping a conversation with her has been pretty easy until three months ago. On that day, I had realized that I was in love with Xylvia. I've been wanting to tell her how I felt for so long, but I always feared about what would happen if we went into that kind of relationship. As much as I loved the thrill of things, I felt like this was too big of a risk for me to take. However, I could never shake off these feelings that I had for her. In fact, it just drove me to the point where I can't stop fantasizing her in different ways. I remember one time when I saw her sleeping on the couch at our "Adventurer Headquarters", located in a village about two-hundred miles north-east of the Town of Colors, I imagined her stark naked in an extremely seductive pose. Don't even ask me how I did that, because I don't even know myself.

"Hiro, I can see light!"

Xylvia was pointing towards a small light from the other side of where we were currently standing.

"What do you think Hiro?" Xylvia asked.

"Most likely a trap, less likely an exit, least likely a treasure room." I said.

For some weird reason, I've always been able to guess these kinds of things pretty accurately. I'd say that I'm right about ninety-two percent of the time.

"Those odds are good enough for me." Xylvia said.

That was basically our motto.

"You're right," I said. "No matter how small the odds are, as long as there's a chance, we'll take it!"

We bagan to run towards the night. We charged at it full force with no sign of backing down. We're we scared? Yes, but not even fear could stop us.

When we reached the other side, we had entered a room that was polished from top to bottom with gold! The walls, floor, and ceiling looked like they were painted with liquid gold. Pillars were scattered in a strange pattern, also painted gold. But in the middle of the room we're two wooden treasure chests There was also some writing engraved on the floor next to them. Xylvia and I slowly approached closer to the chests. We wanted to read the writing first before doing anything too reckless, even for us.

" 'Inside these two chests lies the fate of your lives'," I read out loud. "In one chest lies a great desire, and in the other chest lies a dark curse. Solve this riddle to choose wisely'."

The riddle read "What answer do you hope to always get right?"

"What do you think Xylvia?" I asked.

"I have not a damn clue," she said, shaking her head. "I'm better off just smashing them both to pieces. Maybe the desire and curse will balance each other out?"

I repeated the riddle inside my head over and over again to see if I could get the bigger picture.

"The correct answer obviously has something to do with the chest," I said. "We just have to figure out which chest is the right one."

"Right one, right one, right..." Xylvia paused.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Maybe it's literally the 'right' chest." Xylvia said.

I looked at the chest on the right-side.

"It makes sense," I said. "The answer you always want to get is the 'right' one."

Xylvia and I walked over to the right chest. I held my breath as I pressed my hand on top of the cold box.

"Here goes nothing."

I swiftly opened the lid of the chest and quickly ducked down in case their was a trap. I heard something spew out from the container.

"Damnit," I said. "I guess this trap really was designed by a twelve year old. Hey Xylvia, what was that?"

I looked up to see Xylvia with a strange aroma surrounding her. She had on a weird smile as well as she stared down at me.

"Everything ok Xylvia?"

"Not…really…" she said, suddenly swaying left and right. "I kinda got hit with that funny looking stuff…"

"Anything wrong," I asked. "Any sharp pains or limbs burning up?"

"No…I'm just a little dizzy. And…a little hot. Like…something inside me is burning up…"

"Damn, aphrodisiacs"

"Again…? Oh come on…"

Aphrodisiacs made a person's body turn into jelly. They would feel weak and dizzy while their body heat skyrocketed. Their mind would be filled with nothing but an urge to mate, even if they were aware what was happening to them.

"Hiro…hurry up with that medicine before I end up fucking you again…" Xylvia gasped, flapping a part of her shirt to cool herself a little.

"Don't worry, I came completely prepared this time." I said pulling out a vile.

"Hmm…came… Wanna do that inside me?" She suddenly asked.

"I should probably use two vials to be safe."

I laid her head onto my lap and had her drink each vial, making sure she didn't accidentally choke on the medicine. This medicine was basically a tylenol copy with a built in ice pack, except it was healthier. This helped ease her thought process a little more while lowering her body temperature back to normal.

"Hey, wouldn't you rather my head facing the other way while I was drinking your semen?" Xylvia laughed, hiccuping a little from the medicine.

"I don't really think you'd like that," I said, keeping myself from blushing. "Just finish the last vial and rest for a bit."

"Heh, buzzkill as usual."

Xylvia eventually drank the last vial and immediately past out. Her chest slowly went up and down, breathing in and out from her nose. I could feel her hot breath hitting my left arm. Her tail sway left and right in a pattern of thirty seconds. Left. Thirty seconds. Right. Thirty seconds.

I had an urge to start messaging her ears softly, but I didn't want to bother her. She was sleeping peacefully, so I should just leave her alone for a bit. I guess I can't just lie down and sleep for a little myself.

I did exactly that. I closed my eyes and jumped straight into dream world.

…m

…d…m

…a...m

"Hiro!"

I jolted up. I thought I was hearing a whisper. It was Xylvia…carrying a sword?

"Check out what I found in the other chest," she said excitedly while swinging it around recklessly. "This thing is so cool!"

"A…sword," I questioned. "What's a sword doing in a chest?"

"I'm not sure, but it's definitely gotta be valuable! Or maybe it's some ultra powerful weapon!"

Valuable or not, why in a chest?
