1 The Day God Didn’t Show

Screams of men, women, and even children could be heard in all directions. Sirens weren't much help to ease what was left of humanity. It all started when there were small tremors that lead to an earthquake like situations.

The ground split open, as flames blazed high, people who had been running daily errands, or watching their children running around playing, stopped dead in their tracks in pure fear. Mummers could be heard along with panicked voices.

Law enforcements had even stopped. Cars and trucks sat still in the middle of traffic as the ground opened up in front of them. Cars had wrecked into one another. Everything happened so quickly and out of nowhere. People who witnessed and watched in fear couldn't speak. Within a minute, unexplainable screeching began to come from the cracks that were wide enough for people to fall down into a blazing inferno.  The onlookers had grown fearful and waited. They still couldn't see the cause of the screams. They all stepped back  it wasn't until a loud roaring growl enmities from the crack.

In the blink of an eye everyone around began to scream and run for their life. As they did so, black shadow masses pounced into action. The shadows seem to move rather quickly. They were definitely not human. The black fog masses then flew into the mouths of women, men, and even children. The screams of pain of those who were possessed soon died down and stood to their feet, with a psychotic and overall evil grin.

They rushed into action scaring the mortals around them and corrupting most minds. These beings were... DEMONS.. this happened all over the world. Soon enough the news stations were flooded with emergency systems broadcasting lives telling people to rush to safety and remain indoors. People had no problems doing so. Stores began to close down and not let anyone exit until further notice. But everyone knew there was no safety.

This was redemption day but where was God. People all over the world began to pray long and hard while sobbing and freaking out. God heard everything and he wanted to help. He did everything he could but he was weak and he knew his son Lucifer was taking advantage of it. A sigh left the powerful being's throat. He watched and heard each prayer, but it was no use.

God had grown weak after many years of seeing his beloved fragile creations sin left and right without a care in the world. He had waited to long to start redemption day in hopes of prolonging their lives to maybe one day change and straighten up...and that was his fault, that he had accepted. He began to send out his army of angels but he knew there wouldn't be enough time.

He needed a special enforcement. That enforcement was someone very young. Her name was Hope. Hope Peterson, a 17 year old girl.  She had a heart of gold, but she was struggling. Most would call the girl a goth. But she really just like the color black and plus goth was an amazing style to her. But that wasn't why he sent angels to retrieve her. No she had a gift. A special gift he only gave to few people.

Hope had the ability to see into the future through short visions or short unclear dreams. These visions and dreams didn't last long and they were always unclear. They wouldn't make sense till they happened. The dreams and visions have off hints as to major parts into the world around her. She was a clairvoyant or psychic, whichever people preferred.

Most preferred the term crazy or psycho. Most called her a scam and fake because no one believed her unlike her friends and family. They believed in the superstitious a lot.

God closed his eyes and breathed in them exhaled calmly. He began to pray himself that Hope would be able to redeem the world and put a stop to his son's work before it was to late...
