The Goddess has been very lonely up in the higher realm. Each God and goddess have their own domain to look after so they rarely, if ever, meet each other. Most gods and goddess are cold and aloof anyway. Even if they met, they would at most only say a few perfunctory words of greeting.

Hmph.

So the goddess decided to go down to the human realm to play.

Using her divine power, she left her immortal body back in her palace and reincarnated her soul into human flesh.

As a result she became the daughter of a pair of mortals, they named her 'Rohesia'. The goddess accepted that name and hence forth addressed herself as that.

Rohesia squirmed in the wet nurses arm. Her small limbs were weak and useless, she could barely even move them around. She time she waved them in the air she would feel immensely tired afterward, her strength completely drained of strength. Her toothless gum and tender vocal cords made it so that the only viable sound that she could make was different variations of the three combos 'goo' 'gah' and 'wah'.

A human child's body was so inconvenient, what could she accomplish in this body? Rohesia wracked her brain. It seems that it would take a human child several years to talk and walk while more than a decade to grow into adulthood?

That... seems a bit long. One have to know that when a new god and goddess was born, it wouldn't even take a day for them to mature entirely.

So Rohesia decided to speed up her growth using divine power, developing her body right around the age of sixteen, an age where human children were considered to be at the height of their youth.

When a beautiful girl replace the spot of the newborn baby, the entire room was so silent that a pin drop could be heard. Rohesia, using divine power, made a simple blue dress to cloth her body with.

She stared at the Marquess whose hand was loosely around her arm and waist from holding her as a infant. His expression was that of shock, temporarily unable to process what he had just saw.

Human children tends to act cute and obedient in from of their parents right?

Rohesia leaned in against the Marquess' chest, tugging at his sleeves while saying in a honey sweet voice, "Father."

"En." The Marquess answered subconsciously to her voice. Afterward, he seems to have gotten out of his initial shock, his cold eyes were no longer as dazed instead they had a tint of warmth in them.

He answered again, "What's wrong dear daughter?"

Wu KeLi who had been watching their interaction in the background wanted to go up there and shake her employer a couple of times.

She screamed silently inside her head. What wrong, EVERYTHING is wrong. Aren't you way too calm about this? Wtf am I only one that finds this situation wrong? Is it their eyes that's clogged with sh*it or is it mine?

"Rohesia come here, let mother take a good look at you, my girl all grown up."

The Marchioness' eyes were filled with motherly tears that were ready to spill forth at any moment.

Wu KeLi wants to kneel. Mother Daren, you too?

Even the background characters didn't forget to dutifully chime in.

The maids singing her praise: "Ah yes! Our lady's beauty is simply incomparable in the world!"

The head butler wiping away a tear: "Ah, I think I just saw a pair of beautiful white wings behind the Lady's back!"

Wu KeLi couldn't tell if they really meant it or if they were just boot licking.

Wu KeLi complained to the system, "Why are they acting like this?"

When Wu KeLi was done talking to the system, she heard the Marquess ask the maids in the room, "Daughter dear, do any of the maids here suit your liking? If not Father can find you news ones."

Wu KeLi has not been paying attention to the situation and could only scratch her head at this new development. (Right now our Wu KeLi is just a pitiful newb╭(╯^╰)╮As time goes on she would master the art of multitasking.)

The ten or so other maid all excitedly squealed inwardly, their cheeks flushed with excitement. The maids employed at the Marquess' manor was naturally was good quality. Not to mention they were allowed to serve their Master's in close proximity, it wouldn't be a stretch to say that all the best maids were gathered here in this room.

A chance to be their Lady's personal maid! One by one the maids neatly lined themselves up and composed demeanor. They had to show their Lady that they were the best choice for her.

Wu KeLi very naturally also got in the lineup. Don't get her wrong, she didn't suddenly gain enlightenment and fell in love with the protagonist, not with the system's excellent service.

If she became the protagonist's personal maid, wouldn't she be with her practically all the time? She would have plenty of opportunities to obstruct her love life!

Wu KeLi studied the other maids, sizing up her competitions.

Rohesia used her citric gold eyes to inspect the maids. Her eyes swept over them passing a maid one by one.

"Her and her."

Rohesia casually pointed towards Wu KeLi and another brown haired maid's direction.

Wu KeLi silently pumped her fists. Not bad, not bad. There was hopes for this mission yet.

The ten or so other maid's expression dimmed. Wuwuwu, my lady, why didn't you chose us? (T_T)

They could only leave as the Marquess waved his hand to dismiss the remaining maids. Only Corinne, a warm and gentle looking person, stayed behind. She has been standing beside the Marchioness the entire time and was the Marchioness' personal maid as well and the head of all the female staff in the manor.

"Come introduce yourself." Corinne prompted them with a slight wave of her hand.

The brown haired maid walked up and curtsied elegantly in front of Rohesia.

"Pleasure to serve my lady, my name is Grace."

"Hello, I'm Rohesia." The goddess introduced herself back in a friendly manner.

The maid swooned. Gosh, did the lady just introduce herself back? Hehe, so cute.

Wu KeLi followed after Grace's example and also curtsied in front of Rohesia. After asking the system, Wu KeLi found out her body's name.

"My lady, this one's name is Alina."

Rohesia gave a dazzling smile in response.

Even Wu KeLi who was under the system's protection was a little blinded by it.

Hey system, with the goddess' spec wouldn't it only take one meeting and a glance for her to KO her way into her harem member's heart?

Wu KeLi mulled over on how to complete this mission. From how she sees it, there was two options. 1) Make the Harem members fall in love with someone else so irrevocably that they'll never have thoughts about the protagonist or 2) Make the goddess completely uninterested in building a harem.

If Wu KeLi could, she would rather just kill off either goddess or the harem members. However her status and might is not great enough. The goddess was all powerful and her lowly self probably wouldn't even get a chance to touch the corner of the bigwig's sleeves. Also, the fellow harem members were far and widespread like weeds, she's afraid that before she could even finish killing them all she would've already drowned to death in a sea of blood.

Possibility one seems a bit too unreliable. Take the Crown Prince for example, how was a maid like her going to play match maker for the successor of the country?

Also, the harem members existence in this world was like that of a concubine whereas Rohesia was the emperor that lorded over them. If the emperor says want, then the concubines could only want. What if by some chance she actually succeeded in getting the Crown Prince together with someone else but the goddess took fancy to him and swept him away? All her hard work would be utterly destroyed.

Just the thought of returning back to square one after all that sh*t was enough to make Wu KeLi's heart hurt.

Thinking it like this, it was better to just take down the big boss directly. If the goddess had a true love than she wouldn't look at other men anymore right?

Wu KeLi crossed her fingers and prayed desperately that Rohesia was the faithful type.

Wu KeLi's goal changed from obstructing the goddess' love life to making sure that Rohesia fell in love.

If all else fails... well maybe Rohesia would be interested in some humanly hobbies? If she kept her insanely busy then she wouldn't have time to think about collecting a harem right?

When Rohesia had first been conceived, the Marchioness had cleared away a whole floor of the manor so that her daughter could decorate the entire floor as she pleases when she got a little older. The Marchioness had also specially prepared a nursery room but it seems that it was no longer suitable for use anymore. Thankfully, there was plentiful number of other rooms on the floor.

The Marchioness ordered Corinne to settle Rohesia in one of the spare rooms. Before Corinne left, she specifically instructed Wu KeLi and Grace to serve Rohesia well.

Grace mentally stuck out her tongue at Corinne. Bleh, do I need you to tell me that?

"My lady, since it's still rather early why don't we go outside for a walk? The weather is beautiful today and we can also go into town to buy some necessities for you."

The Marchioness was extremely excited to have a daughter and had gone overboard on buying little baby outfits. The furnishing in the original nursery were all personally chosen by her too. There was an abundance of baby products but none were were currently suitable for my lady's use right now.

Their house's lady should naturally have to best! Grace secretly selected a new fashionable shops that has been popular among novels recently

and kept it in mind.

Rohesia was very much for exploring the human realm and readily agreed to this suggestion.

Wu KeLi however didn't like this idea one bit.

The outside world is much too dangerous. Who knows who we will bump into.

"Um, actually..." Wu KeLi wracked her brain to find a reason on why they shouldn't go outside.

"Things think shopping should just be left to the servants my lady, don't over exert yourself. Why don't we have some delicious tea and sweets instead."

Rohesia faltered for a moment. Tea and sweets sounds really good. Gods and goddesses don't need to eat so there was no food up in the higher realm. With her immortal body she couldn't taste human food even if she tried anyway. Now that she was a human, she really wanted to try their cuisine.

"Then the shopping trip will be postponed to tomorrow?" Why have one when both are possible? Rohesia looked at her two maids hopefully.

"Of course my lady!" Grace reminded herself to prepare for tomorrow's outing at the end of the day.

Wu KeLi sighed, having temporarily resolved a hurdle. If she can drag a day then it better then nothing.

"If you'll excuse, I'll go set up the tea."

Wu KeLi asked the system for the direction to the kitchen.

{Head to the second floor.}

Wu KeLi followed the system's direction and began to make her way into the kitchen. She hopes that the cooks got something that she can scrape together an adequate afternoon tea with. She has no idea if the Marquess manor even do tea.

As she walked down the Victorian styled stairway, she saw a rather conspicuous figure walk up the 'up' stair on the other side of the room.

Huh?

Wu KeLi squinted her eyes.

What the f*ck was that above that person's head?

A blue little mouse like arrow spun continuously and above the arrow, in shining blue letters, were the words: "Vin Alferson, eldest son of the Marquess house."

"..." System.
