The Hijabi's Romeo

"No" the voice of Amir and mine echoed in my father's office.

Dad and mom was sitting in front of me with a painful expression. While Amir's dad sat on a single couch.

"Dad, isn't there another way?" I almost whined, not wanting to believe what they just said.

"How could you do this to me father?" Amir almost screamed.

"If there was, we wouldn't have asked you, honey." He said. "Will you just consider? For our sake."

"You'll get married and that's it." The man concluded the entire conversation we just had. There isn't a choice, at least for Amir but my parents will never do something if I don't agree, that's why I never disagree with parents.

I looked at both of my parents and sighed.

You may wondering what's happening. Alright long story short my parents company is getting bankrupt and I'm the hero in their story. How? By marrying their partner's son, Amir, the jerk in our school. Like that my parents will have the money they need. Their partner, Amir's dad owns the largest company in New York and it will be honour to have a partner like him. I was never a girl who disobeyed her parents but for this request I'll need time to think it over. I sighed again and said "Fine. Can I go now? I'm getting late for school."

Yep you guess it right. I'm 19 and go to my last year in high school. And the thought of getting married never in my life crossed my mind.

"Yes you may go now." My mom glanced at me ashamed.

I stood up and went out the office as I heard the door closed loudly. I heard someone walking behind me. "Do me a favour and don't tell anyone about our marriage. The last I want is girls running away from me."

"Likewise, I can't let anyone know I'm bonded to you. That will make my reputation go under."

"Since when do you have a reputation?" He raised his eyebrows.

"Since ever!" I snapped.

"Do you want to marry me that badly? It that why you just gave up?" Amir grunted after a moment of silence. He can't keep his mouth shut can he?

"I don't have the time and energy to deal with you so run along boy."

Amir and I are like fire and fire in our school. Even thought the whole school fear him, I'm the only one who can talk to him like that. You can say he's the handsome rich popular bad boy in our school, when in fact he's a spoiled brat.

"You could have just propose to me and I would gladly accept." He winked.

"In your dreams." I scoffed.

"Mine or yours?" He smirked. I hate to admit it but he really is good looking. Sometimes I wonder how all humanity only have 1% of prophet Yusuf's beauty considering there's a lot of handsome men out there like Zack Efron and Chris Hemsworth. Just how beautiful was he?

"You have your entire life to be a jerk. Why not take today off?"

"Remember when I asked for your opinion. Yeah me neither." He made a comeback.

I whispered stupid jerk under my breath and walked faster to get away from him.

"I think I won!" He yelled after me.

"No you didn't!" I yelled back.

We have this stupid game of who can make the other person speechless and the winner will have the loser as slave for 6 months. Until now no one won but I'll make him my slave just not today.

'How's our bride today?' My big brother, Khaled was in line with me.

"You knew!?" I was driving to school.

'I'm the heir to the company, what do you think?' I growled, he found out about my future and my parents decided to drop the bomb on me today?

"My mood is spoiled, I wanted to marry someone as handsome as Chris Hemsworth not our local brat." I whined. "Khaled are you sure there isn't another way? Can't they take a loan?"

'Layla our parents thought about it for a long time. Do you think they enjoy sending you away?'

"No... Okay I'll talk to you later, I'm in school now." He said his goodbye and with that I hung up and strolled towards the school. I made my way to my first period, math. Sometimes a bad teacher can ruin your entire love the subject. Right now I'm in front of that 'bad teacher'.

"Sorry I'm late." I said and went to sit between my best friends, Latifa and Sabrina. Surprisingly the teacher didn't say anything. What's wrong with her? Is she sick?

"We heard what happened from your brother, we need details later." Sabrina whispered and focused on the lesson.

Latifa is the crazy Hijabi in our little circle. She tries everything and anything. Basically she can't stay still for one minute. Sabrina on the other hands she's the one who thinks about the consequences before she does anything and takes her studies seriously. The only decent girl in our circle.

And then there's another one, Scarlett Kingsson an African American beautiful girl. Her hair is something to die the for, she has afro hairstyle and it looks gorgeous on her. she not here with is now, she has a different period now but we have one together later today.

"Okay guys, that's it for today. Make sure you study for the test next week." The teacher said after what felt like years. It's an understatement that I really hate math.

"Finally." I grunted as I picked up my books as fast as I could. I just wanna get out of here. In 20 min I have PE and guess who I have it with.

I said goodbye to Latifa and Sabrina because the have a different subject.

I went directly to the girls locker room and changed out of my clothes, making sure I tightened my hijab so it won't fall off. Currently I'm standing at the end of the line the teacher made us do to split us up into two teams.

I was really competitive when it comes to sports so I could easily ace this class. The coach gave me a good grade but there's someone who's got an higher grade. Amir. That is just as good as I am and it makes irritated. I want to be the best in the entire school.

"Ismail!! You're late." The coach snapped me out of my thoughts. Making his grand entrance, Amir glanced around the line and stopped when his eyes met mine before made his way behind me.

"Sorry coach, got stuck in something."

He reached me and I turned my head fast.

"Hi lion." A husky voice breathed out making my ears tickles.
