9 Chapter 9:  Battle training (part 2)

Sasuke and Naruto enter the ring.

"I can finally hit that arrogant face of yours," Naruto yelled at Sasuke.

Sasuke responds, "You are not even worth my time."

And with that Mizuki started the match. both ran to each other.

Naruto started with a jab, Sasuke kicks. Sasuke blocks and continued with the basic Uchiha fighting technique. Naruto continues to fight back as a brawler, just running into the fight and his animal instincts. but the battle doesn't take long. One Sasuke is superior because he has a technique that is designed for battle and he trains it, second Naruto fights like an idiot. he doesn't even try to dodge.

Raven's thoughts,' Is this how an Uzumaki battles? No, It can't be. He isn't trained. he fights like an attack dog. point at the target and go get it. and everything in the way, don't care about it. Doesn't he know he is from a clan? Maybe he really doesn't know. well, I'm going to have to search for Uzumaki from somewhere else then, hope the library doesn't disappoint; Hihi.'

the fight was finished as short as it started. it was like Raven expected. technique trumps brawler.

"Sasuke wins, Naruto loses," Mizuki announces it.

"Yes, Sasuke is the best," "Sasuke, marry me." "Naruto you suck, let Sasuke beat you some more." "Sasuke is strong," ... the Sasuke fans start their cheers again while g-he leaves the ring.

"Choji and Raven to the ring, ... start"

Choji starts charging, while Raven stays standing still. Choji not taking any chances, Partial Multi-Size Technique, and Choji punches his right fist at Raven, from afar. Then the fist doubles in resizes.

Raven partially surprised looks at the fist, 'interesting,'

Raven then lets him fall down on his back to dodge the fist. and the fist misses him by an inch. then on the ground, Raven rolls sideways.

Choji doesn't feel the hit so he knows he hadn't hit Raven. so while his fist retreats, he sees Raven get up. Choji then takes out his trump card, Human Bullet Tank Jutsu.

Raven got up from the ground and turns to face Choji only to see a giant rolling ball coming for him. 'crap, what the hell is that?'

Just as the giant ball was going to hit him, he used the Body Replacement Technique with a rock from the ring.' that was close'

But Choji's Jutsu doesn't stop and continued rolling until it hit the academy wall.

then Choji was back to normal," ha, I lost. I thought I had you, Raven."

As Raven was walking to Choji, "Well you did surprise me, and to be honest, you almost did have me. if I didn't know Body Replacement Technique then I would be going to the medical hall." Raven joked. Then out of his wrist seal, he gets a bag of chips out.

He offers the bag to Choji," a peace offering, and a token of respect."

"I knew I liked you, now we're friends." he grabs the bag and starts eating.

"Now let's get the final battle out off the way. then the school will be over. Sasuke, Raven, get over here." Mizuki yelled.when they faced each other.

"Don't disappoint me Sasuke,"

"Hmpf, You're going to lose like everyone else. You're no match for me."

"We'll see."

And the battle started. Sasuke started in the Uchiha style with a kick. Raven retreats, then for the first time he starts with an attack. Sasuke could block it. but before he can start to attack back, he gets a foot in his mooth. as he backs up, he has to defend again. now it was against a foot sweep. So he jumped. Raven smirked, 'bad choice.'

With the momentum of the foot sweep, he gives rise to a power uppercut. and it hit Sasuke right in the chest. With that hit, he flew out of the ring, and he spat out some blood. Then Sasuke looked with disbelieving at Raven. 'how could I lose'

"Raven wins, and now it's the end of class." Mizuki ends the lesson for today.

The Sasuke fans were looking at Raven to rip him to pieces. Naruto looks at him with worship and Sasuke still can't believe he lost. so when the medic cleared him he questions Raven loudly, when Raven was on his way to teacher hall.

"HOW DID I LOSE TO YOU? YOU'RE AN NOBODY WITH NO CLAN."

Raven stops, turns to face Sasuke and the class because after that yelled question. they also want to know that answer.

"Your kidding right? What's got that have anything to do with it."

"YOU COULDN'T HAVE BEATEN ME. an Orphan with no backing doesn't have the skill to beat me. Yes, yes, you used a trick."

The Fangirls believe Sasuke, the class was questioning the win a bit. 'Did he use a trick?'

Raven shakes his head. Then he looks at Sasuke, "Hey, arrogant asshole. Has nobody ever told you to get off that petal stool you put yourself on." the class is surprised by the words and the insults that Raven speaks about, while he continued." Before you start to question how I won. DO YOU REALLY THING YOUR UNBEATABLE? If I would have to guess, there are others in the class who could beat the crap out of you if they wanted. So get off your high horse. AND then how could I not beat the shit out of everybody here? Have you al forgotten that I already graduated once? It would be an embarrassment if I lost against first-timers. Think before you start asking stupid questions, I WAS ALREADY TAUGHT EVERYTHING YOU ALL STILL HAVE TO LEARN THIS YEAR. And get it in your thick skull, this means I'm already ahead of you. And if you start yelling about your techniques. Well, I have to admit, Uchiha techniques are a great battle basic technique you can work on. BUT to fight me, please. I had to fight 2 Taijutsu proteges in my school year. against them, it was a fight. you lot wouldn't even handle one punch from them."

Only then did everybody remember that Raven was from a class higher until now. Even Hinata only now remembers that Raven was in the same class as her cousin Neji. And that he graduated last year. the only reason, he was not a genin was that his Jonin didn't accept his team as an official genin.

"And let me tell you something, don't look down on the orphans and the clanless. Because if I remember from class, the Fourth Hokage was a civilian. so again get your arrogance in check or next time I will beat it out of you, so you'll end up in the hospital for a year."

Then Raven walks away to the academy. the class is still shocked about the behavior of Raven and the revelation about the Fourth. The civilians had their confidence back and the presser is turn on under the clan members from the class. they were all thinking, 'if we strife, we can become like the Fourth.'

Raven waits at the teacher's lounge, waiting for Iruka. 'That prick really needs a beating. why couldn't he be in our class? Neji and Lee would have beat the crap out of him.'

Then he saw Iruka coming. "You don't have to wait here, Raven. I'm man enough to realize when I'm wrong and you have won your bet fair and square. So when you bring with you a Jonin who will help and guide you. I'll give you a permission slip so you can enter the genin floor off the library."

"Thank you, Sensei. and I really didn't want to hurt your beliefs. but I had to show you there is a difference between clan and non-clan members."

"I know now. the hard way. but if you believe that why did you give those words to the class?"

"Well, that's to give them the drive to get better. Even I know that I'm behind the clan's teachings. And even the Fourth knew that. but he could fall back on the academy. Because I found out, that in his time the academy was a lot harder."

"It was wartimes."

"Yes, I know. but I still don't get why the academy got to like it is now. but that is not for me to question. So I'll leave it. I thank you again Sensei." After that goodby Raven left.

'I hope it will help you as much as it helped the fourth.' and Iruka also left.
