Chapter 24: Land of the waves (Part 1)

While on the way to the land of the waves, Raven was checking his equipment and rearranging some of the stuff from the missions he did the two months he was away from the village.

Then he started thinking about Yukino and some of his other friends from the village.

Anko entered his cabin. Raven was going to get up, but she gestured not too.

"Calm down, little Raven, we're not there yet."

"Ah, ok. Sensei, can you tell me more about the mission from team 7."

"What you want to know?"

"How did Kakashi get wounded?"

"Well, I did tell you they met a missing-nin, right?"

"Yes, but you told me he defeated him so the problem should be over no?"

"Well, That's the problem. Kakashi doesn't believe that he is dead. Because the actions of the Hunter-nin they met was strange. Even if he killed him, he should have just cut the head and store it. Then just burn the body, but this hunter took the body completely with him. It's just strange."

"So, you also think that he still alive?"

"Yes, and if he can't take down Kakashi, then he is strong."

"Who is the missing-nin were up against?"

"Zabuza Momochi, a missing-nin from Kirigakure also know as the 'Demon of the Hidden Mist'."

"Isn't he in the Bingo book?"

"Yes, he is. Well, most missing-nin are in the book. Why you ask?"

"Can I see the Bingo book?"

"Why do you want to see that? It's just filled with shinobi who made a name for themself. That's the reason they're in the book. Nothing more."

"So, are you in the book, Sensei?

"Yes and no, I'm mentioned in the book. But I don't have a bounty on my head personally."

"I won't ask again."

"Oh, I really like you as my student. You can have a look. Just don't ask about the one, ok."

"Deal, and thanks Sensei."

Then Anko threw a small book at Raven. She then sat down in the chair and dozed of. It would still take a day or two before they get to the land of waves. And if something happens, Raven would wake her up.

Raven was checking out the Bingo book.

He found the entries from Zabuza, Kakashi, even Mighty Guy was in the book. Most Kage was in the book as well, of course, the would. If someone could kill a Kage, their name would have been made. They would also be welcomed at the other villages. He was surprised about a name, Itachi Uchiha, then shinobi responsible for the Uchiha massacre and Sasuke's brother. Well, it was an interesting read. Not so much the reasons why they were in the book, but why they were known for. Uchiha for there copy-ability, Sasori for being a puppet master, Some priest that thinks he's immortal, ... The ones he actually liked the most were the known Jinchurinkens. The eight tails called B, It seems he can't talk normally. He talks in rap. How stupid, then the six-tail. He is wanted by his own village. Then the three tails, or also the Mizukage. He rules Kiri with an iron fist.

Strange that the nine-tails isn't in here. Would have loved to read about the strongest tail-beast. But it would be strange to find Naruto is in this book. Think the Hokage is keeping under wraps.

Then a knock on the door. "Yes? what you want?" He woke up Anko and grabbed his new ninja sword. "We will be arriving in two more hours, we suggest that you get ready." And they heard him walk away to the next cabin. Saying the same thing over and over again.

"Well, you're ready to see a wounded cyclops?"

"Oh, he really is going to love seeing you again, Sensei."

"Cheeky brat."

"Where are we meeting them?"

"That, we're going to go find them. They arrived before us. They should be here for a day or two. But no problem, I already send a scout out. You still sure you don't want the be a snake contractor?"

"For the moment, yes. Pretty sure. From what you tell me I will have to focus on that, but for the moment my schedule is pretty filled up. Still you the first I'll ask, hehe."

"Yeah right, who you're going to ask anyway. Come let's go."

Then the two exited the cabin and when the ship entered the port they left to Anko's scout.

It only took a day to get to the land of waves with a wounded Kakashi. Team 7 took Kakashi to Tazuna's home for recovery. After a day he woke up. With Zabuza's return a likely outcome, Kakashi took Team 7 to the nearby woods for chakra training and told them that the training would require them to learn to climb trees without using their hands. Naruto made the observation that this is impossible, but Kakashi, in crutches, managed to climb the tree with ease and explained that the key to doing so was focusing chakra to the soles of the feet. The three genins all made an attempt: Naruto, not using enough chakra, took only one step before falling back to the ground; Sasuke was able to make it a good distance up the trunk, though he damaged it as a result of using too much chakra; and Sakura, having perfect control over her chakra, made it to a high branch on her first attempt, finishing her training. For the boys, however, the training continues. The two still had problems with the training. But then a diner, a knock on the door was heard. Before the genins and Kakashi could react. Anko already entered by kicking open the door. Kakashi was relieved that his help request got answered. But the genin didn't recognize the intruder. So the sprong up and Naruto, in Naruto style ran to Anko. Sasuke took out his kunai and followed. Sakura was not fast enough, but after seeing Naruto and Sasuke take on Anko she jumped to 'protect Kakashi and the family from Tazuna'.

Anko was thinking,' what is this? a slumber party. No traps, no guard. Even if your wounded Kakashi, this is not good. Oh, the two brats finally reacted. About time, I could have killed them already. Naruto brat is just running at me without a plan. The Uchiha idiot, as Raven calls him, thinks a little. He is smart enough to take out a weapon. Now the last of the team, really only now when the other two are attacking me are you remembering that you have to protect the family and Kakashi. Is this the team that finally got Kakashi of his ass? Come on Raven can do so much better. Ah, the brats are here. Let's have some fun.' Then Anko starts smiling. Kakashi sees that smile and thinks, ' Oh no they're going to get it now. Anko is going to play. Quickly, were is Raven, he can maybe stop it.' But as Kakashi looked he couldn't find him.

Naruto arrived in front of Anko, trying to give her a punch. "To slow, kid." She dodged the punch by just moving her head to the right. the punch mist, but Anko then did a sweep kick. Kicking Naruto straight in a wall. Then Sasuke jumped at Anko with his Kunai aimed at her heart. "Great aim, kid. But my heart already belongs to someone else." She substituted with a dish from the table. She knife hit him in the neck. He fell down right with his face in the ground. He was out. Naruto got up, saw Sasuke go down. He used the Multi Shadow clone technique and then rushed them all to her. She first taught, 'Oh, he knows Multi shadow clone Jutsu, maybe he does have ... What, why is he rushing at me like that? Wait it can't be? doesn't he know? Well, let's play wack a Naruto then. I'll have a great little talk with that cyclops. HIHI'

And just like she thought, she played wack a Naruto. She even used a spoon from the table. And when she found the original, she knocks him out cold as well.

She then turned to Kakashi, just to see a shuriken fly at her face. She substituted again and just hit Sakura in the head. "Great aim, little chick, but NEVER do that again. Or I'll feed you to my pets."

The family was getting scared because all the ninja's that enter their house was taken out by the newcomer. Only the wounded shinobi, was left. Just when they would ask, did someone enter the house.

"Sensei, the traps and the security perimeter are set. I don't understand why there wasn't one set-up yet. That's the reason I'm late. Sorry." And Raven just closed the door and turned around. "What the hell happened here, Sensei?" Raven got in an attacking stance, "Where is the danger?"

"Oh, how I like you, Raven. You can let your guard down a little, what happened here is what could have happened if I was an enemy."

"Ah, you knocked them out. Ok, anything I have to do?"

"Can you check their wounds? And check that cyclops as well."

"Ok, Sensei." And Raven started looking after the downed team 7.

"Good evening, Tazuna's family. Sorry that I've interrupted your diner, but I'm the assistance that the cyclops asked for from the Village. He is lucky that I was not far from here. Oh, and my name is Anko and the boy checking the others out is my genin, Raven."

"Hi, Kakashi how are you doing?"

"I have been better. Great that your here Raven."

"Oh you not going to be, it will take a month before your back in shape."

"How is it, Raven?"

"Well, Sensei, Kakashi will be out for a month, but not life-threatening. Team seven will probably wake up in the evening."

"Great, your on guard this evening."

"Ok, Sensei. If you need me, I'm on the roof." And Raven flickered away.

"Let's see. you can continue your diner now. I'll just have a rest in the corner." Anko sat down in a chair and closed her eyes.

The family looked at Kakashi. he said, "She is a Jonin, just like me from Konoha. Only she is a lot ruffer than me in handling things. Let's just finish diner and go to bed. We'll talk again in the morning."

Anko thought, 'Jonin like you, pfft please maybe like the old you maybe. But now, really. we're going to talk alright. Well, I'm going to talk and you're going to listen, hehe. Can't wait till morning.'
