2 Chapter 2: The orphan

"Ok, everybody, gather up, its time to go."

You could see a couple of children running to get to the matron.

"Is everybody here," she asked. but in her mind, she was counting

"No matron, Raven isn't here yet."

"What where is he?

Like clockwork, a boy came running through the door.

"RAVEN, how come you are late?"

"was helping Yukino out of bed, she still a little unwell from yesterdays trip."

"Ah yes, I'll check-up with her after bringing you children to the academy, now get in line. We don't want to be late for the speech of the third, now do we?"

"NO," the children yelled.

...

"Ok children, here is the academy, and it seems we're a little earlier than I expected. So go sit down or look for some other children to talk to. I'll be back in the evening after school. so behave, ok?"

"YES, matron," the children answered.

So finally free from the matron the children went to find their friends. Raven looks around and really feels left out a bit. He didn't have any friends outside the orphanage.

So he decides to go sit somewhere in the shade to wait for the speech of the third.

While sitting under a tree, Raven sees the other students coming to the waiting area. he sees children coming with their parents, bodyguards. Even saw someone being dropped off by someone with a bear mask, I think they were called ANBU. Then saw a shinobi dragging a child wearing an orange jumper, and the child was yelling: "I will become the next Hokage so I can sleep longer, ..."

not really paying it any attention the third comes up to stage. Starts speaking about the will of fire and the history of Konoha. After 20 to 25 minutes he finally welcomes us to the academy.

then teachers went around to each student to give them a paper with their classes on.

- Raven, orphan, 6y - Class 1A

I follow the rest of the children and found the class 1A really quick. When I enter I see that there are already children sitting at the desks. I check the room and decide that I would sit at the back next to a kid that has what looks like white eyes.

When I sit down the kid looked at me and then went to look back in front of the class.

After awhile the class was completed, even that kid in orange was in this class.

Just then a man with hair that made his head look like a pineapple with a scar on the bridge of his nose walked in.

"settle down, settle down. My name is Iruka and I will be your teacher," the man said.

"Ok first things first, we need to introduce ourselves," and then called for some people to come up and say their names.

"My name is Sakura Haruno,"

"Choji Akamichi,"

"Shikamaru Nara, "

"tenten,"

"Rato Jinzabo,"

"Hhinata Hhyuuga,"

"ROCK LEE!!!"

"Raven,"

"Ino Yamanaka nice to meet you all,"

"Kiba Inazuka,"

"Noragi Kyomi,"

"Shino Aburami,"

"Neji Hyuuga,"

"Sasuke Uchiha," all girls cheer.

"Naruto Uzumaki," everyone boo's him, except Raven. he looks at Naruto. 'It can't be, that orange idiot is an Uzumaki, you got to be kidding me.'

The rest of the class announces itself...

"Ok, now I'll explain the courses you'll follow, and tomorrow will check out your skills."

...

Tomorrow morning at the training grounds.

"Now like I explained yesterday, outside the theory classes you will also learn, in the outside classes, taijutsu, shuriken Jutsu, and some of the basic ninjutsu. Also as some of you are older, if you excel in classes you can move up in classes and get graduated earlier. So do your best"

"So now first test, ten laps," Iruka started evil smiling "start running,..."

After class

"As I thought, only some children can keep up. If they're as good in theory then they can get to a higher class."

Five years later.

"Ok, you have done this teacher proud. your all graduated now. So you can all call yourselves genin after the Jonin teacher accepts you."

"Now the teams, ...

team 6: tenten, rock lee, and Neji Hyuuga,

...

team 12: Noragi Kyomi, Rato Jinzabo, and Raven.

that's it. your Jonin will come to pick you up in a minute."

Iruka just left and Raven turned to Neji and Lee. "You two got lucky, you're in the same team."

"He Raven, cheer up. its youth with anybody."

"lucky, no it was fate."

"Tone it down a bit with youth, Lee. And Neji stops japing on about with fate. You're the genius of the class because of your hard work, not because of some fate." at that Neji smirked proudly.

"Let's agree that no matter who our Jonin is, will still meet up together to hang and to train, ok?"

"YES, train ... youth."

"Shure it will be a release to talk to someone normal."

"HE, I'm normal."

Raven and Neji laugh, then the door flies open.

"MIGHTY GUY, DYNAMIC ENTRY."

"cool," lee looks at the entry.

Neji thinks: 'No don't be my Jonin, no please'

"team 6, round up. now you're with me, mighty guy."

neji:' NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'

Raven just start laughing.

after an hour, only the Raven's team is still in the classroom.

"The Jonin is late," Rato said.

"Well, who cares," Noragi comments.

Raven gets up and introduces himself, " Hi I'm raven. it looks like we're going to be teammates."

"Whatever," said Noragi, and Rato said, "as long as you don't get in my way, I don't care. or I'll bury you."

Raven sits back down and thinks.' this is a team that will not work, but it's my team so I'll have to make it work.'

Then a shinobi enters the room. the white-haired shinobi then said," sorry I'm late. Had to help a granny with her grocery."

"So because it's late, let's meet at training-ground 7 at 6 am, tomorrow. oh also don't forget, don't eat anything and that's an order. tomorrow will also be your first shinobi day so don't disappoint." and the white-haired shinobi transported away.

Raven said, "see you tomorrow"

the other two said nothing and just went away.

Raven thought 'this is going to be hard'
