Chapter 22. Sudden Attack

"Where are you going?" Zhang Jiangwu asked, repeating his question.

"I want to pee, are you going to follow me too?" replied Ara.

"Then go." Zhang Jiangwu said.

Ara snorted disapprovingly. Stepped again and passed the man without saying a word.

"Hey, why are you following me?" Ara stopped in her tracks and turned when she sensed that the man was following her.

"I want to pee, can't you hear me?" she added as she shouted, her gaze scornful.

"So what? Is there any problem?" Zhang Jiangwu replied lightly.

"My ears are still working fine, Miss. Don't scream like that, I'm not deaf."

Ara rolled her eyes in embarrassment, "If you heard me, why are you still following me?"

"So what?" Zhang Jiangwu replied casually.

It felt like Ara wanted to hit the head of the man in front of her. "Aren't you shy to follow me?"

"Shy? What for? Maybe you're the only one who's shy, Miss."

The corner of Ara's lips twitched, "Yeah, I'm shy. Then wait for me here. I want to pee, I will not go anywhere," replied Ara.

"If you forbid me to follow you, I will order the soldiers to follow and watch over you, Miss," Zhang Jiangwu said.

Ara who started walking suddenly stopped her feet again, seeing the two soldiers behind the crown prince, Ara felt frustrated.

"NO, DON'T DO IT. YOU BOTH STOP THERE," Ara said while pointing at the two soldiers.

"You have to think a thousand times if you want to escape from here, Miss. You think you can lie to me?" Zhang Jiangwu replied.

Ara snorted disapprovingly, "Whatever, why don't you just call everyone here to follow me?" Ara replied, turned around, and started walking.

"You are crazy crown prince," Ara cursed without stopping her steps. The girl walked along the bank of the river, a little away from their resting place. She ignored the crown prince, it seemed to escape from this place, she would have a lot of trouble. Like now, she had to pretend she wanted to pee just because she didn't want to make the crown prince suspect her.

Walking a few minutes, Ara finally found a suitable place. She then turned to look around, and the next second, her body staggered backward in surprise. Lucky someone immediately held her body so as not to fall.

Ara saw many soldiers following her from behind, maybe half of the soldiers who had been with her all day. Even some noblemen were doing the same and were currently staring at her.

"Y-You? What are you doing?" Ara stuttered, never expecting that the crown prince would obey her word.

"Why? Didn't you say that before?" Zhang Jiangwu replied lightly, taking a few steps back, away from Ara.

Ara gaped, the girl didn't know what to reply. This is crazy, is the crown prince really like this? Ara rubbed her face in frustration.

"Do what you want to do, Miss," Zhang Jiangwu said.

"Are you telling me to pee in front of so many people like this?"Ara fig glared sharply.

"I do not care. It's nighttime after all, they won't see you clearly," Zhang Jiangwu retorted, bringing his hands behind his waist.

Ara was annoyed to hear that, her hands were clenched into fists.

Suddenly a flare of screams rang out, accompanied by the sound of swords clashing. On reflex, everyone turned to the source of the voice.

There, right at their resting place, a fight took place. Several people dressed in black and covering their heads attacked several soldiers suddenly.

Seeing that, Zhang Jiangwu immediately grabbed Ara's body. Carrying the girl's body on his shoulders, carrying her while running.

"We'd better find a hiding place for a while until they leave, Your Majesty," he added.

"Alright, if it's for the best," Zhang Jiangwu replied as he nodded his head.

Ara who heard their conversation just snorted. "Useless," she muttered but her words reached Zhang Jiangwu and Bai Jun's ears.
