97 The Giant Serpent

Alden arrived at the end of the endless, straight path. Another vault is in front of him. This Vault, however, was much bigger and more secure. Standing at the front of the Vault, Alden felt small compared to the Vault. Alden wasted half his resource that he confiscated from the mage to make it.

*BOOOOOOOMMM*

*RAWWWWWWWWWWWWW* noise of a fierce fight. Wasting no more time reminiscing, he commanded the system to open the Vault.

*DING*.'

*click* *clack* *click* *clack*, the giant Vault is fitted with the most complex locks that the system can produce, while the wheel handle of the vault moves, constant noise of hissing and his shadow creatures can be heard inside the Vault, fiercely engaged in a what Alden could only describe as intense.

the Vault slowly opens,

*FEWWWWWWWWWWWW* A gale of heating wind brushes his entire body. Like a dome isolating hot magma, the heat from the rush of wind engulfed Alden. He covered his face with his forearms, protecting his eyes. As this was happening, the Vault had fully opened wide, releasing the rest of the rushing wind.

*FEWWWWWWWWWWWW*

'argh,' the wind power is strong enough to push Alden back. Even though his feet did not move, they still forced him back, creating a line of a few inches away from where he stood.

'Where did those two find this creature,' Alden spoke.

He inspected his forearm and became serious after finding his attire that he had bought from the system was on fire. He quickly patted his forearms and extinguished the fire. The fierce gale of wind stopped suddenly.

Alden starred at the inside of the Vault. The place was dark, but he could see a path leading downwards in the distance. Wasting no time, he became worried that whatever the creature that his two shadow Lycans captured would not run rampant because of his carelessness.

Thinking of this, Alden's back suddenly manifested into two black, bat-like wings,

'Let's see what those two captured,' He spoke.

*FEWWWWWWWWWWWW*

He flew directly towards the pit, as this was happening, as soon as he put his distance from the Vault. It automatically began to shut behind his back,

*BANGGGGGG*

*click* *clack* *click* *clack*

The Vault locked itself,

*FEWWWWWWWWWWWW* Alden arrived at the edge of the pit, his bat-like wings flapped slowly as he narrowed his eyes down, trying to see what creature it was. After a few moments of adjusting his eyes, Alden found the target.

'whoh'

'A giant serpent,' he sounded.

At the bottom of the pit, a giant serpent on the defensive mode is crawling up in its own tail. Its head is moving left and right. To Aldens' observations, the giant serpent seems to have taken an offensive stand against two dotted lines that are moving so fast that it would take a great deal of concentration to get a better visual of what they are.

Suddenly, one of the two dotted lines stopped in the snake's view, a reminder. The pit is large enough to fit two of the snake and still has enough space for it to move comfortably. However, climbing upstream is impossible because of the height of the pit. A circular hole with no stares and a way to move out is the perfect place to trap gigantic creatures like this serpent.

*VOOOOOOOOOOOM* The entire pit shook like an earthquake, at the head of the snake, its neck precisely has at each side is a flap of wings scales, making it look like a cobra, a type of snake on earth, a venomous snake.

'hmm' he sounded

[it has a neck that can flare out when the serpents feel threatened]

[in addition, it has the ability to create a silent vibration]

*VOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM* the vibration suddenly got more potent where the giant serpent had its attention. On the pit wall was a shadow creature, engulfing its entire body with shadows. The creature seemed at ease and had its claws dug deep into the pit's walls. It fully equipped the body of the shadow creature with muscles, making it look like an alpha lion in its prime.

This shadow creature is Mox. Mox starred back at the giant serpent and growled back at it. Even though Alden does not know how to speak to animals, he can understand that what shadow Mox had just done was an absolute insult to the giant serpent.

And it was,

*HISSSSSSSSSS* the giant serpent's head ever so slowly moves back; its vibration continues with its move. Shadow Mox's eyes, white as a sheet, did not trail or blink. It kept its attention entirely on the giant serpent's movements.

Then suddenly, shadow Mox crunch down slowly as well, its shoulder moving with it, like a cheater ready to pounce at its prey.

*WHHHHIPPPTAAAAAAAA*

*BOOOOOOOOOOMMM*

[wow] Alden thought

Up above, Alden saw everything happen so fast he almost lost sight of shadow Mox from the moment the giant serpent retreated its head back and aimed at shadow mox. Alden saw the whip-like lightning attack from the giant serpent.

As the giant serpent attacked the shadow creature, the shadow creature maneuvered with a more incredible speed than the giant serpent, thinking that it had killed its targets. It stopped its vibration and stuffed its face into the wall, digging deeper.

With its jaws wide open, the giant serpent chewed the wall aggressively. A massive chunk of rocks fell from the position where it thought it captured the shadow creature, dust, and debris. The giant serpent had little regard for anything other than having its enemy in its belly... At the end of its tail, as much akin to cobra, it shook fiercely.

When Alden saw this, he was sure that this fierce shake validated the victory of defeating a foe.

As this was happening, shadow mox crouched down and moved from the right side of the snake, heading towards another shadow creature.

*FEWWWWW*

*BOOOM* shadow mox landed behind the giant serpent and was not far from another shadow creature. Every step of shadow mox signifies his unfathomable strength. With its body comparable to a large lion. After months of hunting with Alden, shadow mox transformed from a skinny shadow creature to a completely different kind. Its size and muscles mass grow alarmingly. You'd think because of its size, shadow mox would be a lot slower, but those creatures that had underestimated shadow mox ended up being feasted on by it.

The true potential of shadow mox is gluttony, and it eats none stopped; it abolishes gigantic creatures when they are defeated. Shadow mox, a forest away from summer city, became its hunting ground. It was utterly emptying the forest of its residents.

While the giant serpent prolonged its joy with the wall, Shadow mox turned its hollow eyes towards the other shadow creature. This shadow creature appears to be on the verge of death. Its skeletal appearance makes it look like it had never eaten in years. The concept of a wraith is more likely to refer to shadow Lox.

The wraith-like shadow of Lox turned to shadow mox. Both their hollow eyes stared at each other, and in an instant, they came into a tactic of understanding. Shadow lox slowly opens its large jaws. With it came a current discharge of electricity,

*BIZZZZZZZZ* *BIZZZZZZZZ*

In thin air, high voltage of electricity formed at the centre of its opened mouth, a residue of leftover electrical current dragged through the place it stood, appearing as a network of a spider web. Shadow Mox quickly backed away, giving enough space for shadow Lox to finish the discharge. A passive skill belonging to Shadow Lox only.

Shadow Lox swiftly aimed the accumulated high voltage of lightning spell towards the giant body of the serpent, precisely at the back of the head,
