5 Chapter 5

Sweat Face's demeanour shifted, a noticeable fear creeping into his expression as the rumour's about Choi, the reputed black sheep, took hold. Whispers of Choi's wrath had circulated through the shadows of Sin City, and now, facing the actual prospect, Sweat Face couldn't help but succumb to a rising trepidation. The room seemed to tighten, an invisible pressure mounting, as everyone present grasped the gravity of invoking the ire of Choi Thornfield, the notorious black sheep of the family.

["Ensure you stall for time until I arrive, or else..." The voice on the other end hung,] leaving an ominous threat in the mind of sweat-face.

Reflecting on what Miss Collin had conveyed to him during their phone conversation. Scanning the room desperately for an excuse, the once confident Sweat Face, now rigid and scared, felt a genuine surge of fear for his life.

[Get a grip of yourself; she's just a young girl, hiding behind her father's street thugs, nothing more.] Sweat Face thought, attempting to formulate excuses in a desperate bid to alleviate the impending doom closing in on him. biting his nails

[Bullsh*t! I don't want to end up dead] Sweat Face thought, frustration and fear bubbling within him.

[but this is Choi, A politician and business mans kid, if I accuse him, I'm dead, if let him leave I'm also still dead] Sweat-face thought

Thinking that diligent service under the underground boss of the district would ensure his safety. Sweat Face worked hard, catching the attention of his boss's daughter thinking it was a breeze job.

He never imagined history behind his boss's daughter almost gave him a heart attack. Even now, a simple phone call from the boss's daughter thrust him into this precarious situation. Initially, Sweat Face's instructions were clear: allow some rich kids to run rampant, and only after all the havoc was wreaked, frame them for the damages. The simple task took a sinister turn as he found out that its Choi.

[I'm as good as dead] Sweat Face thought, attempting to halt the tremors coursing through his body, and silently praying to any god who might save him in that very moment.

"So this is your little petty scheme Rachel " Choi remarked, ignoring the visibly shaken Sweat Face. Choi then shifted his gaze straight ahead, looking beyond Sweat Face and the two figures behind him. A frown etched across Choi's face as he stared at the closed door in front of him.

*Bang*

A rear door behind the bar suddenly slammed open, pushed by a delicate hand. In walked two bodyguards clad in Chinese martial artists' attire, escorting a petite and stunningly beautiful girl in her late teens, just 24 years old, who seemed out of place in such an establishment.

"Hehehe, I never pegged Mr. Choi for that type, but in the end, everyone's just people, no matter how high and mighty they act." A sweet, melancholic voice brought Altor to a sudden halt, its enchanting tones weaving through the air and captivating his attention. She was bright, calm with long black shiny hair to her waist. her eyes clear,

Her cheeks adorned with a rosy hue, she exuded a vintage charm that painted her as an elegant and refined young woman in long traditional Chinese one piece . She embodied the role of a healer for the wounded, a compassionate friend to animals, to most who see her, she is perfect. But to those who truly know her. She's nothing of this sort.

Rachel Collins emerged as a central figure in a series of chilling incidents that would leave an indelible mark on the city's history. Raised in a world shadowed by corruption and blood, her only family, her father, instilled in her a cruel nature and a penchant for venomous plots.

Beneath her eloquent veneer, Rachel harboured deep-seated self-centeredness and a callous disregard for the emotions of others. Her childhood was marked by aloofness and manipulation. The discord in her family, culminating in her parents' divorce, saw Rachel aligning herself with her father. This marked a turning point in her life as she became increasingly disengaged from school, opting for part-time work in her father's business, aiming for independence. Rachel's employment with her father's business in a casino showcased her strong work ethic and administrative leadership skills. She delved into the darker realms of the city, associating with unsavoury characters.

Rachel ventured into Sin City's notorious Passion of Flames district, a hub of adult entertainment. She assumed a leadership role, coordinating the business as an extension of her father's influence, earning the title "Fluorescent Maidan." Despite her reputation, her extravagant lifestyle often left with blood and financial ruin of others. Out of pure spit and jealousy, Rachel trafficked a girl whose father held a prominent position in the Sin City police force which triggered an all-out war between the police district and the city's underworld. As a retaliation, Rachel devised a plot that decimate the entire police force, Her goons infiltrated officials' homes, leaving behind a trail of death and revenge. crippling families of connection for her father to exploit.

From this moment, Rachel Collins embarked on a heinous journey, exploiting the vulnerabilities of those in despair, her sinister plots escalated into actual murders. she delved into the world of darkness, her sinister plots escalated, leaving trails of victims whose cases remained shrouded in mystery. Rachel's ability to make people vanish without a trace is what gained her a chilling reputation, casting an ominous shadow over the city, a sinister game orchestrated in tandem with her father.

As she look and Choi sweetly ,her attention snapped to the manager and two bodyguards kneeling before Mr. Choi. A sudden shift in power dynamics hung in the air, unsettling the once unchallenged authority Rachel wielded over Sin City. The unexpected presence of Choi had disrupted the delicate balance,

[Useless idiots. What good are you when you can't even hold your pride,] she thought with disdain, her inner monologue dripping with contempt for her manager and bodyguards. She looked back and Choi.

"My, my, look at this place," Rachel sneered with disdain.

Before she could utter anything further,

"Young miss Collins," Alden began, saliva running down his lips

"Speaking for all of us here, I think what happened should have been stopped. And, really, does it matter now, does it? I mean, let's all be grown-ups and get to the real deal of this situation,"

The room fell into an eerie silence; his voice slicing through the tension. no one moved. All eyes, once trained on Rachel, now completely shifted to Alden and his drunken stupor.

[Dead man] Sweat-face sneered with a smug in his heart. Choi eyes wide and everyone could not believe the bravery of Alden.

"you're right, it doesn't matter at all"

Rachel looked at Alden and answered sweetly. Her finger on her lips and head nodding.

Seeing this, Alden heart skipped, he took a sip from a wine bottle he never even knew he was holding.

[its now or never] he thought, then spoke

'Money speaks volume, So why not speed things up and get to the main point" Alden finished

Rachel looked at Alden and back at Choi.

"Is he one of yours" She spoke.

Choi sneered and spoke

"yeah, did you like what've done with the place, I added my personal touch"

Rachel, wearing a sweet smile, gracefully walked over to where Choi and her manager stood with anxious expressions. Her two bodyguards glided behind her, expressions stoic and unwavering, a silent presence reinforcing Rachel's poised demeanour.

"How much are you willing to reimburse me for the damages?" she asked, her tone sweet and caring, as if genuinely concerned about her employees.

Choi, no longer passive, turned his head to cast a discerning look at Alden, squinting his eyes. The room held its breath, uncertain of what thoughts brewed in Choi's mind.

"How much do you want?" Choi spoke, his tone calm despite the tension in the room.

"200," she answered, the smile still lingering on her face. However, the underlying tension hinted that this was about more than just money.

"IMPOSSIBLE!" Choi's voice rang out in a shout, the word echoing through the room.

"Do you think the damages are worth that much? Your establishment alone is worth less than that," he continued.

Rachel maintained her stoic demeanour, her frowned, deepening as she spoke, "Mr. Choi, I think the price that I've set is not much of a change considering where you are from, does it?"

"We put our effort to..."

*TING!*

 "System Initializing."
