8 Sophy

Sophy was running from home. Just for a few hours to give a scare to her family, but still enough to make them leave work to look for her. She was tired of waiting for dad to leave his office to play. Also, nothing bad about exploring the edge of the forest, was there? Just a bit of adventure, that's all. There was a wall separating the castle from the rest of the capital anyway, so nothing bad would actually happen.

"They will never ignore me again," Sophie said with pouting cheeks. A smile spread from her face as she started to explore the forest surrounding the castle. A few hours would pass at most before anyone came looking for her, so she had ample time to explore.

She then decided to skip about until suddenly, she passed through a bush and found a boy. His limbs were small, and his skin was pale. His clothes were well made, but were strange in nature. They looked comfortable, something like what a commoner would wear, but were tailored with the care of professionals. He had a hat which hid his hair. His face was pale, almost like a doll. The expression on his face was that of fear. Then it went blank, then it went reserved, as if he struggled about a difficult decision. She knew because her father had made the same expression many times. Finally, it settled on a look of determination.

Sophy was so scared that she was felt like screaming. She thought no one would be able to enter the castle grounds. She inhaled as much as she could to call for help, when she suddenly felt dizzy and sleepy. All the air in her lungs exited at a rapid pace, but not in a scream like she wanted but a silent sigh. This scared her even more and she tried to scream once again, but suddenly found that the ground was very comfortable. She could ignore the strange boy for a bit and lie down. It's not like he could do anything to her. Daddy would destroy him if he tried anything. Nothing to worry about. Just needed to relax and sleep. She could just lie down and S L E E P...
