Unknown Place

Vibrant reddish orange hues painted the sky. The lowering sun reflects in the calm sea. Watching the sun sets gives a sense of calmness and nostalgia.

The seawater by the shore barely reaches the shoes of the dark figure person standing still unmoving.

'Has it always looks this beautiful?' That person silently watches the sun slowly go down.

It would have been a perfect serene moment, if not for countless bodies floating in the sea and hundreds more half buried in sand.

'Is it because of the sunset or . . .' That person cannot tell whether the red sea is reflecting the sunset colors or was it blood.

The nauseating rotting smell of flesh mixes in the air, multiple loud fire crackles sound from the burning forest and the once enormous mountain beyond the forest continues to crumble like crackers.

Stream of tears rolled down in that person's cheeks to it's chin. The blood in the long sword already stopped dripping. The calloused hands with dried blood lost its hard grip.

"Is this the end?"

As soon as that person's eye closes. Black smokes arise from the ground.

"We lost."

*twitch* twitch*

A set of closed eyes keeps twitching and opens after a few more seconds. The blinding ceiling lights greeted the unadjusted eyes.

'Ugh'

Surge of pain travelled all over the body. While trying to tolerate the pain, the pair of eyes slowly adjust in the bright environment.

It's an all white spacious room without a window and a single heavy metal looking door. There are also some machines found at the sides.

'Medical equipment?'

While trying to sit up another painful cry has been let out.

"Arrggghhhh"

Electricity flowed in nerves, sudden numbing pain first felt at the back of the nape. Hands reached the nape and felt a tube attached to it. While carefully tugging it out, two more tubes were seen attached. One at the right side of the torso just below the ribs and another at the back of the right hand.

The tube at the back of the palms is attached to a transparent liquid container hanging above the bed, but what about the other tubes?

Electricity flows every few minutes from the tube attached to the nape. Its charge is enough to numb the senses. Pulling out the tube in the nape is no easy feat. Weakened arms and numbness residue made sure that all strength in the body is to be exerted.

"ARGHHHHHHH!"

A stream of blood slides neck down to the white beddings and floor, after successfully pulling out one tube. Adrenaline kicked in and pulled the tube located at the torso.

"Haaaaa.haa. haaaa."

Heavy panting echoed inside the white room. Collecting all the strength left and attempting to sit once again. Groaning like a wounded beast, attention was caught by a girl glaring on the other side. This girl is wearing a white long dress and currently sitting in an awkward position.

"Argh. ugh" Trying to speak but instead of words a set of cracked muffled voices were released.

'My voice!'

Looking back at the girl, The glaring didn't stop and she was holding her own throat with a bleeding hand.

'Huh?'

A realization hit. She is staring at a mirror. A series of questions flooded in. Trying to think of a possible scenario on why she ended up like this.

'. . . me?'

'Where am I?'

She looked around while raking her brains out.

'Who am I?'

*bzzzz* bzzzzz* bzzzz*

Like an old TV without reception, a buzzing sound and blurry vision came to her.

"THEY*@^@HER--!RUN!!&#!^$(&#^"

"(!&$(^$)^% GO!!, I will )(!&#^(&"

"Ughh! !*^$(@)& I(&! fine-----"

"HEL-----!*^#%$*)"

Screaming voices overlapped each other, the pounding of her head became excruciating, the pain of her chest tightens and it's getting harder and harder to breathe.

"!)*@^#RUN!!! RUN!!!"

She can hear some words but mostly are inaudible but all the shouting, running and blood are screaming one thing to her, FEAR.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!" she screams at the million images of overloading gruesome pictures of torn arms, limbs and heads. All the piercing cries of horrible screams and the continued cries and pleadings are making her lose her mind. She can hear her own loud heartbeat. She finds herself panting while running away to an endless corridor.

The intolerable pain in her head blackens her vision causing her to fall from her bed knocking down some equipment and her nose bleeds excessively while her eyes are rolled up.

Only then the heavy metal door opened.

In a pitch black road she found herself standing behind a man covered in sweat and blood. He is wearing a dark colored coat and carrying a blood stained longsword.

"*!^%#(@#&$(" A man's voice with a blurry face turns to her.

Opening her eyes and seeing the blinding lights once again. Feeling the same pain again. The electricity flowing at the back of her nape, and the tube piercing at her torso is attached again. The white room is flawlessly clean, free from the blood splatter.

'What happened?'

Looking at the white room again, it was hard to know if she only dreamt of waking up last time. She closed her eyes and tried to remember. She woke up and saw her reflection. An unfamiliar reflection. A dark haired girl.

'What is it again? I seem to forget something.'

*Bzzzt Bzzzt*

She flinched at an eerie sound in her ears. The distorted vision of reality and a memory of the faceless man. It's hazy and confusing but he is saying that seems to be important, she just can't remember what it is.

She can't remember anything, her name, age, or past. She even doubts her own appearance. Remember nothing at all like her memory was wiped clean. She frowns as she endure the relentless pain attacking her head. Staring long at the white ceiling made her eyes feel heavy.

'What is this place? What am I doing here? Why can't I remember anything?' Those questions flooded her tired mind but no matter how much she tries, she can't remember anything.

"*!^%#(@#&$(" The vision of man talking to her continues to play in her head.

"*!^%#(@#&$("

"*!^%#(@#&$("

Trying to calm her throbbing head she closes her eyes as the gruesome images flashes once again. The shadowed man appeared in front of her and repeated the same words but this time she heard it loud and clear.

The pain in her head subsided when she opened her eyes. Still can't remember anything about her identity but the words left by that man felt a huge impact, like her memory is summarized to one word.

'Resistance' The man in her head said in a clear voice.

The word didn't make her remember anything else but she was sure the visions of running and fighting were her past. Fighting against something desperately.

A thought suddenly clicked in her brain almost as if there was no doubt about it.

'I am Resistance.'
