Was this love at first sight?

Zoe wondered as she finally opened her eyes to see the man's closed ones. Had they been kissing with their eyes closed all this way? He was so handsome and this felt like a dream. 

As if the man sensed her gaze on him, he opened his eyes too and their gaze connected. Ba-dum! Ba-dum! Her heart pounded in her chest as they stared at each other. So this was love? 

LOVE HER ASS! 

Zoe snapped out of whatever illusion she had been under. What was she thinking about?! This man was after her because of his phone and she just pawned that phone and had to get out of here. That was the reality of her situation.
