Kelvin did not expect the night to go smoothly considering he was just about to do the one thing that would drive Genevieve crazy: He was going to officially introduce Alicia to her tonight. Trust him, if this part of the plan was negligible, he would have done it, but there was nowhere he was about to introduce Alicia as his girlfriend without letting Genevieve know first. 

Luke had already informed him that was something the real Gabriel would have done and though he hadn't told Genevieve the identity of the guest she would be meeting tonight, he had thrown enough hints to her that it shouldn't surprise him if she figured it out. Genevieve had not said anything after that and he didn't push his luck either. He had delivered the news and only hoped that the woman accepted her.
