A man who seemed in his twenties was looking at someone, it seemed more like he was stalking the person.
"Today, I'm going to finally confess my feelings to her." Alex said resolutely.
He was looking at a beautiful girl with a slim figure who was speaking with a girl beside here while chuckling.
'What a heavenly smile.'
Alex was walking towards her, carrying a flower bouquet.
"Hey…." Just as he waved his hand, a bolt of lightning struck him, killing him.
His burnt body fell in the ground, much to the horror of the nearby people.
And just like that, the life of an aspiring comic drawer has been ended.

"Where the fuck am I?" When Alex woke up, he found himself trapped in an endless, black void.
But to his surprise, a blue 3D, system-like panel appeared in front of him. Just as he saw the panel, he was surprised by it.

[ Congratulations. You have the qualification to be the host of the anti-death system. ]
'A system?' Of course, he knew what a system was, as he read some novels where the protagonist has a system. But, he didn't like them much, except for Solo Leveling.
'Wait, its name is anti-death system? Does that means that it grants immortality or invulnerability?'
"Why do I have the qualification?"

Alex embarrassingly coughed.

Alex gazed at the panel, only to see a wheel with the names of some fictional works he knew like: MCU, DCEU, Solo Leveling... and also some names he didn't recognize which he presumed that they were also fictional works.
The wheel stopped in One Piece.
'One Piece?' Alex knew that it was an anime, but he didn't know anything about it apart from the name of the protagonist and the synopsis. The only anime he ever watched were Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh, so he didn't know what to do in a world he almost knew nothing about it. Well, you can't blame him about being an American, do you?

In an empty alley, you can see a fairly young boy, lying in the ground, seemingly unconscious.
The boy regained his consciousness, but he was heavily panting. He touched his face as he was checking if it was still intact.
Alex looked at his surroundings, wondering his whereabouts.
Suddenly, a painful headache assaulted his head, making him dizzy.
As he resisted the urge to shout, a flood of memories appeared in his mind. And after adjusting his mentality, Alex mumbled, 'Shiro Takahashi?'
Alex thought of his new name and after that, he checked his new memories.
Alex, now Shiro, discovered a few things about this 'My Hero Academia' world:
— His predecessor died with a heart attack.
— He was currently in Musutafu, Japan.
— He was living with his grandmother.
— This world's system of power is something called Quirks.
— In this world, there are four types of people, Heroes, Villains, Quirkless humans and humans with ordinary Quirks.
'Now I understand the hero part, but why the academy part though.' Alex wondered.
'Well, a new life, a new name and a new family. Not bad.'

Shiro followed the track that he remembered, leading him to a fairly isolated and quiet old house.
He was speechless to see the house he was living in.
As he entered, "I'm home, grandma!", he shouted.
"Welcome back, Shiro." The grandma, named Aiko, smiled warmly.
Seeing the smile, a wave of joy surged inside him.

Shiro was in his room.
As he deeply checked his memories,
he found that his parents died when he was young, and from then, his grandmother took care of him.
He sadly sighed.
And after minutes, he excitingly shouted in his mind, 'System!'
