53 Confessions

   "I see the base Mia." Monica said as she approached the base with the jet. "It doesn't look like there are any guards."

   "No guards?" Mia asked. "You think Victor had something to do with it?"

   "Most likely gave them the heads up that you were coming." Monica explained. "You need to be careful; you may be walking into a trap."

   "Trap or not, I am going." Mia said as she exited the cockpit and headed to the cargo bay. "Nothing is going to stop me from getting Lucy back."

   "I am just going to land." Monica said. "With no guards around it should be safe to do so. Hang tight I am coming in for a landing now." The jet made a landing in the center of the base. Mia exited the craft as soon as it hit the ground and the doors opened. She made her way to what appeared to be the main building of the base. She still found no guards or resistance as she entered the building. She wandered the halls and examined the rooms. Each room seemed to have a different odd experiment in it.

   "I hope Lucy is okay." Seeing all of the different experiments caused Mia to worry. She wondered what had been happening to Lucy while she couldn't find him. As she thought about it her fear grew, but so did her rage. She was angry at Victor for tricking her, and she was angry at herself for not realizing she was being tricked. Finally, she found the end of the corridor she had been walking. At the end stood two metal double doors. She took a deep breath as she opened the doors. Inside the lights were bright and it took a second for her eyes to adjust. When she could finally see again, she saw him. She found Lucy at last, he was still unconscious and strapped to a gurney. "Lucy!" She yelled at the sight of him. Her attention then turned to the doctor. "You! What did you do to him!" Mia demanded.

   "He is fine!" Schmidt said. "In fact, he has been in a medically induced coma for the past few days. He hasn't felt a thing."

   "Hasn't felt a thing?" Mia could feel her rage bubbling more. "What sort of things have you been doing to him?"

   "Oh just a few experiments and DNA extraction. Nothing too serious." Schmidt replied. "I have already administered the drugs that will revive him. He will wake up as if nothing had happened."

   "I should kill you now." Mia said. "Although I have been told that you may be the only one able to send Lucy and I home."

   "That I am." Schmidt said with glee. "Behold my latest invention!" Schmidt pulled a knife out of a drawer. "It may just appear to be a regular knife, but it is so much more! Anyone who is stabbed by this knife shall be sent to another world! I call it my In Another World Knife Mark one, or IAWK-01 for short." Schmidt then took his blade and prepared to stab himself. "Behold as I use it on myself! I shall be transferred to your world! I have used all of the data from the red man there to calibrate the knife. I know for a fact that it will not fail!" Schmidt shouted as he thrusted the blade deep into his chest. "What, why…" Schmidt was confused as to why he was not transported to another world. He withdrew the blade from his chest and proceeded to stab himself again. "I know it will work…" Schmidt was finding it hard to breath. Still he tried again and again until finally he died on the floor laying in a pool of his own blood.

   "Wow, that guy was crazy." Mia said. "Well there goes that way to get home. Maybe that guy who made all those gadgets at the military base will be able to help."

   "Ugh" Lucell made a noise as he began to wake up. He opened his eyes slowly and saw Mia standing over him. Still dressed in the tuxedo. "Miss Mia?" He struggled to speak as he awoke. "I thought you died."

   "I did die Lucy." Mia said as she grabbed his hand. "The Goddess gave everything she had to bring me back."

   "So, she's gone then." Lucell said sadly.

   "I'm not gone!" The ghostly Vanessa said. "I just don't have much power right now."

   "I feel like she's still with us." Mia said.

   "That's because I am Sir Knight." Vanessa replied. "It would be so much easier to talk to them if they could hear us."

   "Listen Lucy." Mia started. "I don't ever want to lose you again; I don't ever want to die again without you knowing how I feel."

   "Miss Mia." Lucell started.

   "Hush Lucy." Mia cut him off. "Let me talk for now." Lucell nodded his head in agreement. "I have had a lot of time to think about it, about how I truly feel about you. You have been there for me ever since I met you, you have been my strong and dependable rock. You keep me happy and never ask for anything in return. When I am away from you it hurts, I physically hurt when I am away from you. When I close my eyes it's your face that I see, when I dream it is about you. I can only think of one reason why I feel this way. It took me a long time to admit it to myself, but now that I have, I want you to know it as well. No, I need you to know it." Mia paused for just a moment. "Lucy I love you more than I have ever loved anyone or anything, I want to be with you until my dying breath and even if death does take me again I will find a way to crawl back just so that I can be with you a while longer. I love you!" Mia began to cry as she confessed her feelings.

   "She said it!" Aquir said. "She finally grew a pair and said it!"

   "Literally." Tolvash said. "She literally has a pair of balls right now, since she's a man."

   "Ha!" Aquir laughed. "I guess you are right."

   "Oh, Sir Knight!" Vanessa squealed with joy. "I am so proud of you for confessing your feelings! I am so happy I got to see it!"

   "Miss Mia." Lucy replied. "I love you too, in all my years of being alive I had never found anyone I care for as much as I care for you. I didn't want to admit it either but when I saw you die, I lost everything that's when I knew I loved you."

   Mia stopped Lucell from talking anymore by passionately kissing him. It was their first kiss after they admitted to their feelings. "Oh wow." Aquir said. "That's a man kiss." As they kissed Mia undid Lucell's restraints allowing him use of his arms. As soon as his arms were free, he wrapped his arms around Mia's masculine frame. The two just embraced each other squeezing each other as tightly as they could while they made out. After a few moments Monica entered the room. Since there were no guards, she felt safe walking around the compound and followed Mia shortly after she left. As she entered the room, she was greeted by the sight of two large muscular men making out. 

   "Ahem!" Monica made a loud noise to get Mia's attention. This caused Mia and Lucell to stop their embrace and see who it was. Monica looked over and saw Schmidt's corpse, still holding the knife that ended his life. "I take it you successfully retrieved your companion?" Monica said.

   "Right." Mia said. "Monica meet Lucy, Lucy meet Monica." Mia then smiled at Lucell. "Monica has been flying me around helping me look for you."

   "How long have I been out?" Lucell asked. "It feels like no time at all has passed to me."

   "Just a couple days." Mia answered.

   "I suppose that corpse there was supposed to be your ticket home?" Monica asked. "Oh well can't be helped looks like he took his own life. Let's gather all the data and bring it back to base, I feel like they will be able to use it to make you a portal home."
