Crime

At the unexpected serious answer, Francisco choked at his laughter.

"Cough, cough. I am sorry, I haven't thought about your feeling."

"It is alright."

The atmosphere was awkward and that no one spoke for a while made it even more so. The first one to start speaking and dispersed the awkwardness in the air was Alexander.

"I believe you should give my Son now back."

"Yeah, you are right."

After he has given the baby back, he became serious again.

"It is about the time to get to the serious part. Do you know why we didn't kill you?"

"…"

"We want your cooperation!"

"Cooperation? How?"

"We want your help to over throw the Demon King"

"Why should I help you to kill my Father?"

"Don't you want to become the new Demon King?"

"Why should I want?"

"Don't you want power and riches?"

"What is use is there to be rich or to have power?"

"To help your subjects!"

"I am to weak!"

The longer the talk was, the more dejected Alexander become. He was caged in his past. He couldn't believe, that he could change something for the better. In the past when he wanted to help someone, it all become even worse. It was every time like this. Suddenly he was hit and crushed with his face down on metal floor.

"Fuck! And I have believed you had a decent character! Where is your confidence you had in the start? What do you mean to weak! You haven't even tried! Isn't this all an excuse? You are just a coward! Even if you have failed once or even a thousand times, you should use this experience to make it in the future better!"

Alexander unknowingly smiled at floor, but no one saw it. It wasn't a happy smile, but a self mocking smile.

"Yeah, you are right. Even if I failed a whole life, I should make it better in my next life. I hope for a nice cooperation."

"I hope for it too! My man has already prepared a room for you."

After finishing the sentence, he immediately left the room. It seems that Francisco was really enraged about the behaviour of Alexander.

"Your Royal Highness, please come up."

A little dwarf has come and stretched his hand out. Alexander accepted the dwarfs help.

"I haven't believe you would call me Royal Highness."

"Hahaha. I may have betrayed the Demon King, but I haven't betrayed the Royal family. Please follow me."

It took half an hour until they have gone out the dark and damp prison. Out of the prison area, the air was better and there was even some reflected sunlight, but still they are underground. There was a big training place and lot of simple, but not crude houses. On the training places, there are soldiers training a lot of different things. Some are running, some are sparring, some are ridding horses, some are practising archery and some are practising magic. The little dwarf brought me to a house near the training place.

"Please rest here, Your Royal Highness."

In the house was just a bed and a universal heavy armour. Shortly after donning the armour, he walked out of the house and started running on the training place. Occasionally he would point out the wrongs of a soldiers and give some tips or just grab someone to get him some water. After his legs couldn't run anymore, he started to make push-ups. Then finally his arms has given up, he stood up once more to make the horse stance. Only when his legs started to give in again, did he go to his house and sleep.

The next day after waking up, there was a soup and bread before his bead. Beside the food, there was a notice.

"Please don't train until unconsciousness"

Alexander smiled and started relaxed eating his breakfast. It was very delicious, even though it was cold. It feels very warm. After the meal, he donned the armour and walked to the training place. This early in the morning, was no one on the training place. Likely the Soldiers are all soundly sleeping in their own little houses.

Alexander breathed in the fresh air and relaxed his muscles. Despite the aching in his muscles, he started running like yesterday. The surrounding slowly becomes brighter and one after another Soldiers come to training field. Some of them would take the initiative to ask him for help. They laughed and joked together. There was no hostility between the Humans, Dwarfs and Demon Prince. Until the little Dwarf come running and yelling.

"Your Royal Highness, You shouldn't train like this every day. Take more care of Yourself. You haven't even eaten Your breakfast!"

With the sudden revelation, the atmosphere take a dive in the negative. In some Soldiers eyes hostility appeared. They slowly drew their weapons. Some others were indifferent to the news, like it was an everyday thing. And the last some Soldiers were amazed and surprised.

"Attack!"

It was unknown, who shouted it, but all the Soldiers with hostility rushed at Alexander and tried to strike him down. All kinds of different skills and magic in different colours appeared and illuminated the surrounding. He would be dead if even just a single one of them hit him.

"What are you all doing?!"

With that angry cry an enormous amount of Mana pressed down, dispersed all magic and stopped all skills.

From the Soldiers a Human spoke out with an indignant tone.

"Vice Leader, why did you protect him?"

"Haven't you all understand it yet? The tyrant is the Demon King and not his children! Would you dare to disrespect the old Demon King, who has brought us into a prosperous time?"

"The old Demon King has done it, but he is long dead. Don't you know the Demon King and the Princes has all done crimes?"

"Then tell me, which Prince has done which crime?"

"The first Prince, Alberto, slaughtered leaded an army to slaughter millions of innocents.

The second Prince, Gustav, sneaked into our Kingdom and raped the Queen, the Princesses and thousands of other innocent girls.

The third Prince, Donald, poisoned food, which forced one to kill all their loved ones.

The fourth Prince, Marcus, kidnapped kid from important officials and trained them into mindless puppets. The puppets were used to extort these important officials.
