Chapter 29: Meeting

(N/A: The representative I picked are what is available since... I don't actually know who are the real representatives of the monster race)

"I'm so nervous, Miss Nia"

Tilly said with a nervous expression as her fingers grew called from the anxiety that she felt from having her first meeting along with the other representatives of the races in the faction.

"Don't be nervous Tilly-san, it's not like any of the members will kill you, we're just going to have a meeting to discuss the current state of the faction"

Nia comforted while patting her back as both of them walked through the luxurious hallway inside the ruby palace of the 100th floor.

"I-I hope everything goes smoothly" (Tilly)

"Don't worry, the host of the meeting is an experienced woman who ruled multiple planets in the past so everything will go smoothly"

Nia said before pushing the large door towards the meeting room inside the main hall of the ruby palace.

Inside is a giant large table with several beings of different races, waiting patiently as they say down on their respective chairs waiting for the meeting to start.

"Honjou-san!"

Asia who was sitting on one of the throne like chairs waved her hand at them with a sweet smile on her face.

Behind her is a tall, pregnant, voluptuous woman with thickly braided, bow-adorned, scarlet hair.

"Asia, it's been a long time since we last met" (Nia)

"Have you met Lucias already?" (Asia)

"Yes, it's quite sweet of him to propose to me like that~"

Nia held her blushing cheek with her hands remembering his sudden confession when they were alone in the garden at the back of the ruby palace.

"Is everyone here?"

Sephie who just came in with a large stack of documents shouted, attracting all of the attention towards her location as she quickly sat down on the remaining empty seat around the table.

"Since everyone is here, let's immediately start the meeting"

She says before throwing the pile of documents beside her with a tired expression on her face.

"As you all know, since the factions recruited a lot of members in the past month... Everything got a bit chaotic... The data is just... messy to the point that it's impossible to take further actions of I don't personally organise it so we need to establish a stable government for the faction"  (Sephie)

"The two departments are already good to go so the only thing we need to fix is the Internal affairs department. I have a suggestion of dividing everyone into 13 groups of races each with one patron and several other representatives below her to help her organise the group they're in control" (Sephie)

"How are we going to choose a representative, Miss Sephie?"

A handsome blond haired man wearing a simple white cloth that covers most of his body asked.

"Kanias, the representatives is based on who is the most respected figure among their races, so that person can easily order his/her group without much resistance from the other party"

Sephie answered before taking out a list of names out of the pile of documents beside her.

"Kanias and Okein since you two are already used to managing the races under your care, you two will be one of the patrons of the faction"

"But Miss Sephie, there are also elves that came from the other dimensions, I don't think they'll ever listen to me"

"Don't worry, they are quite obedient... unlike your creations so you don't have to worry... Also don't try anything funny like experimenting using the other races to further improve your research in magic... or else we will not only kick you out along with your race but we'll also kill all of you, do you understand?"

"... Of course..." (Kanias)

"Asia-san since all of the dragons in our faction are obedient to only you and Lucias, you'll be the representatives of the dragons" (Sephie)

"M-me!? B-but I don't know how..." (Asia)

"Don't worry, you have Irene by your side. Isn't she a queen in her past dimension?" (Sephie)

"T-that true but..."

Asia sneakily glanced at her large stomach with a worried expression on her face.

"Don't worry about me Asia-sama, I'll do my best to be of use to you" (Irene)

"B-but" (Asia)

"Asia-sama, if it weren't of you, most of my people wouldn't even be alive, and Rung would've killed me along with my child so... I owe my life to you, Asia-sama" 

She stated before kneeling down on the floor behind her with resolution visible on her eyes as she stared at Asia's direction.

"... Just don't push yourself, alright?"

Asia helplessly sighed, she knew that Irene wouldn't back down once she show her those resolute eyes, so... she had no choice but to accept her desire, especially when she's pregnant with her first child.

"I will" 

"How about the Dragonias, Arenleif do you have any objections?"

Sephie asked as a large rectangular portal appeared inside the room above the table, showing a large blood red dragon, intimidatingly gazing at the races inside the room.

"I have no objections"

He answered in a deep and large voice, bringing fear and pressure to the weaker figures inside the meeting room.

"Then, let's move on... Next is the Angels, Azazel you'll be the one to rule this group" (Sephie)

"No problemo"

"Next is for the Grim Reapers and Dullahans... Death, you'll be in charge of them"

Sephie stated while looking at the woman with slightly dark skin and light blue hair wearing a black hoodie decorated with bone shaped designs as she held her giant double scythe on her back.

"Oh my" (Death)

"For the devils... uh... Lucifer can you handle it?"

She anxiously asked Lucifer who was tiring close to her spot.

"Why are you doubting my abilities!? I'm the Queen of Hell!!"

Lucifer angrily shouted with a flushed face as she pointed her finger at Sephie's direction.

"Come on, Lucifer. We all know that you sucked at managing your people"

Azazel bluntly commented while holding her small notepad, writing every piece of information given to them by Sephie.

"Y-Y-YOU!?"

"If you weren't, then why did you lose your authority over the demon kin in the past?" (Azazel)

"Ugh..." (Lucifer)

"Just face it, Lucifer. Even though Judgement said it wasn't your fault... It was clearly your fault for not properly managing hell back then"

"D-do you have to be that blunt, Azazel? I thought we were friends"

"Friends are not the people who sugarcoat the harsh truth or lies to make them feel better. True friends are the one who will bluntly say your mistakes right in front of your face and laugh at you, just like how I and Justice did so in the past until now" (Azazel)

"..." (Lucifer)

"Ok, enough of that... Lucifer you'll be the one to take charge of the devil race along with the Original Demons" (Sephie)

"Sure..." (Lucifer)

"For the undead... any suggestions?" (Sephie)

"How about Yuu? From the looks of it due to her skill [Necromancy] she has a passive charm towards undead creatures"

Nia suggested while carefully reading the list of races in their Faction.

"Yuu, is that alright with you?"

Sephie asked the silver haired loli who was watching them by the side with a passive expression on her face.

[Sure]

"... This is the hardest part... The Youkais... Anyone want to volunteer?"

Sephie asked as she looked around the room, waiting for anyone to raise their hand but to her disappointment none of them wanted to become a one.

"Sephie-san, the Youkai's population is too big, we can't handle everything by ourselves"

A woman with blood red eye and long black hair wearing a slightly revealing outfit decorated with precious gems raised her hand with a deadpan expression on her face, raising her thoughts about the Youkai Group.

"... Indeed, then how about we segregate the races and place them in the other groups to lessen the burden placed on the patron" (Nia)

"Segregate?" (Anubis)

"Yes, for example races like Huang Long will be placed with the dragons along with the Lizardmens" (Nia)

"... I guess that's acceptable" (Anubis)

"Then... Let's do it like this, the Youkai group will divide into 3, aquatic, land, and flight based. All aquatic species like the undine and Scylla will join the seirens, Queen Seiren you will be the one to lead this group"

Sephie said while pointing at the large aquarium inside the meeting room containing a beautiful woman with a large aquamarine fins decorated in pearls and various accessories as she swam around in excitement inside the aquarium.

"With pleasure" (Queen)

"For the flight based... Phoenix, can you do it?"

"M-me!?"

A young girl with flaming feathers on her arms and tail asked in surprise as she flapped her flaming wings in panick.

"I-I can't!! How about Fal? Her prestige is much better than mine!"

She pointed at woman with a lower half of a white Lion, each paw having black claws, her skin is pale colored, her hair is white, matching those of her lower half's fur, she also possesses gold talons, gold ornaments, and haing a red and gold crown, resembling a horned eagle, her clothing are consited of only dark blue skirt and bra, each held by gold frame.

"... Fal are you ok with that?"

Sephie asked the Gryphon, standing in a majestic manner by the side of the table.

"If that is what you wish"

She said while crossing her arms on her chest.

"Good, then Anubis can you take control of the Land species?"

"I guess its fine"

She helplessly nodded her head before relaxing her back against her seat.

"Now I'm going to specify which species we will be merging with the other groups... After we decide the other patrons... Now, for the spirits... Nia any suggestions?" (Sephie)

"Hmm... I guess Tobiichi Origami will be the best candidate for that position since she was the one who always lead us in the past before we were sealed"

Nia answered while tapping her cheek with her finger as she held a glass of strong liquor with her left hand.

"... Is it okay to decide for her without asking for her opinion?" (Sephie)

"It's ok, since all of it is for Lucias, she will gladly accept the role" (Nia)

-meanwhile with Tobiichi-

*Achoo*

Tobiichi sneezed as she rubbed her nose while sitting on top of Lucias who was tied in a rope of mana on to the bed.

"Did you catch a cold, Origami-san?"

Miku asked with concern as she stripped Lucias from his clothes.

"Nothing, I think someone is talking about me"

"Maybe it's just your imagination"

"... I guess your right"

She nodded her head before proceeding in ripping off his boxers, revealing all of his glory to the two flustered girls inside the room.

"Can we talk this out?" (Lucias)

"No" (Tobiichi)

"I'll help you out, Lucias Frey" ('creator')

-back to the base-

"If you say so then I guess it's ok"

Sephie shrugged her shoulders before proceeding to read the remaining races on the list.

"Well... I'll be incharge of the Devilukeans and the other 'Aliens'... just like in the past, *sigh* I wish my husband has at least 10% of Lucias' competence"

-with Gid-

"... Father, please do your job"

Momo pleaded her lazy father who was leisurely observing the scenery in the 92th floor.

"... Is Sephie talking about me?"

He muttered as he felt a chill ran down his back but threw it at the back of his head as he continued his sweet time, annoying Momo who was watching him by the side.

"I wish Lucias was here..."

-back to the meeting room- 

"Now the only races left are vampires, humans, and the Ex-Machinas... Well there's still the Angeloids but we still have to prepare for the expedition towards the ruined island so, I guess we can count them in with the Ex-Machinas" (Sephie)

"Holou, you already know that I'll choose you for this position right?" (Sephie)

She asked the girl with violet that fades to blue with yellow and green at the tips and light blue iris and sclera wearing a traditional colorful Kimono watching them in curiosity.

"... Sure" (Holou)

"Now... the humans, it can't be Riku since he already have his hands full in dealing with the annoying fallen angels that is pestering us for a meeting... The next suitable candidate is... Artoria" (Sephie)

"Me?" (Artoria)

"Yeah, weren't you a king in your past dimension?" (Sephie)

"... king... I can't..." (Artoria)

"Is it about your past? but you've changed when you took in Lucias' memories, don't burden yourself any longer... We can't undo our mistakes in the past but we can change ourselves for the future... especially when the Holy Grail that you know doesn't exist in this dimension" (Sephie)

"..." (Artoria)

"She's right Artoria, even if we did used the holy grail to change the course of history... There's a low chance that the future will change because of that" (Jeanne)

"Yeah, especially when the primordial being of Time is watching everything to keep all the timelines in track... I don't think she will allow you to change the past just like that" (Azazel)

"... Do it for Lucias, Artoria-san" (Asia)

"... It's impossible" (Artoria)

She rejected before closing her eyes, indicating that she won't be listening to their words any longer.

"I see... that's a shame... then Tilly Wimbledon, can you do it?"

"M-me?"

Tilly caught off guard asked in shock as she pointed at herself, staring at Sephie with wide eyes.

"Yes, you're the last suitable candidate to take this role... So please!!"

Sephie pleaded as she looked at her with anticipation.

"... Is there really no one else?"

"None... Maybe Lucias but his a god now, and he is also the faction leader so it's impossible for him to be a patron"

"... Fine, but don't expect too much from me..."

"Everyone makes mistakes Tilly-san, and through those mistakes is how we learn and sharpen our skills. Don't worry, you'll get used to it overtime" 

Sephie encourage her with a wide smile on her face before listing down the current names of the patrons on a new sheet of paper along with the races under them.

"How about the vampires?" (Asia)

"Oh, naturally it would be Lily since she is the only Noble Vampire besides Elmenhilde" (Sephie)

"... I guess it's fine since I have nothing else to do anyway..." (Lily)

"Now then let's start segregating the other races shall we?"

She grinned before taking out the previous list from before, encircling the races which can be placed in the other groups.

"Ok, the Dyrads, Alraune, Fairies, Pixie, and Leanan Sidhe, will be placed in the group under Kanias" (Sephie)

"... Why?" (Kanias)

"Well... since you're group is basically living in a forest, I think it's better to place them in your group since most of them are plant based species" (Sephie)

"Any objections from the 5 representative of those races?" (Sephie)

"None" (All 5)

"Next, Huang Long, Salamander, Wyverns, and LizardMan will be placed in Asia's group, any objections?" 

"None" (All 4)

"Next is the Phantasma... Any suggestions from the representative of this race?"

Sephie asked while looking at the giant portal above them, displaying Avent Heim just outside the ruby palace.

"..." (Avent Heim)

"... Say something" (Sephie)

"..." (Avent Heim)

"Just place them with the spirits" (Arenleif)

"... Any objections, Avent Heim?"

"..." (Avent Heim)

"I'll take that as a no"

She said before listing their race down together with the will-o'-wisp under Tobiichi's group.

"Finally the Jiang Shi and Frankensteins will be placed under the undead group, is there any questions?"

"None"

A young girl pale blue skin, red hair, and purple eyes said while hopping on her seat with her limbs locked straight out.

(N/A: Remember the hopping zombies in Chinese Movies? That's a Jiang Shi)

"No questions asked"

A woman with several stitches sewn on her body wearing a long white lab coat causally answered while biting on her lollipop.

"Then let's end the meeting here, all of you are dismissed, and go back to organise the new groups, is that clear?"

"Hai!" (All)
