Unexpectely, after the passing of more than ten minutes, Helen Blair still did not show up.

Unable to contain herself, Mrs. Hoffman asked her son, "Didn't you say she had already arrived at the hotel?"

That seemed strange to Oliver Hoffman as well, so he stood up and said, "I'll go check."

As he went to the elevator area, he ran into Old Man Albert exiting the elevator.

Oliver approached him and asked: "Where is Helen?"

Old Man Albert stalled, looking taken aback. "Didn't Miss Blair arrive a while ago? I went to park the car while she went up first."

Stunned, Oliver said, "No, we haven't seen her arrive... Could she have gone to the wrong place?" He dialed Helen's number again, but it went unanswered for a long while.

Oliver stared at his phone, feeling a sudden sense of unease.

It was unlike her not to pick up his calls...

"Are you certain she had already come in?" Oliver looked up at Old Man Albert.
