Helen Blair and Julie Williams took a plane to Laketown. The General Manager of Red Star Plastics personally picked them up.
The arrival of not only the special commissioner from the company but also Miss Blair was very exciting for Red Star.
The General Manager of Red Star Plastics, Manager Murphy, was in his fifties, thin and dark-skinned, appearing quite haggard. It was clear that the company's recent issues had taken a toll on him.
He shook Helen's hand excitedly, "Miss Blair, we've been waiting for your arrival! Our company is saved now!"
Helen was slightly taken aback. Why did that sound off?
"How much money has the company decided to invest? Miss Blair, ever since we knew someone from the head office was coming, all of our employees became excited. They haven't received their salaries for months!" Manager Murphy's face beamed with a smile.
