1 Chapter 1(Part 1)

Charlotte POV

They say that change begins with you and today morning I truly felt that I was ready to change the world with a bright smile. Even though I was a little nervous about the new academic year, I was open to new beginnings. I decided to wear my classic look for a good vibe. It was my white half sleeved top and a black mini skirt and black boots that was of knee length.

The best part is, it always complimented my blue ombre hair with little or no makeup. As I entered school with a hint of optimism that I hoped to keep throughout the day, I saw my best friend, Kelly! I hugged her because it was a long time since I saw her and I wanted warmth (just kidding) and after that we had a regular conversation. I started with the

"Sup buddy?"

"Nothing much except that I met Heather like twice in the holidays"

"Oh cool" I said but deep inside both of us knew that her name has like a reflex in my head. Just then, out of nowhere she arrived.

"Talking about me as usual ah?"Heather said. Before I could express myself, Kelly replied.

"I understand that you care a lot about us to take the time to talk on the first day considering your busy schedule but can we continue this another time?"

"Whatever"she replied before walking away. Had it not been for my best friend, I would have flared up, so as always I was thankful that I have people who helped me understand that fighting back wasn't always the solution.

The reason why me and Heather are the way we are? Heather's is jealous since she was like the popular kid before I came and me being just the way I am, seized the opportunities that would shape me and the rest can be guessed. Now she would do anything to ruin my life.

That's where my friends really help me out. Not let simple things disappoint you. While I was in my own world, Kelly brought me back to earth by asking "You okay?"

"Maybe a little traumatised"I said with a laugh.

"Hey look! There's Prince Charming"said Kelly

"I wonder why he ain't wearing fancy clothes and walking like he owns the town?"

"Hmm...I agree with you there. Cameron is totally not Prince Charming, he's is a guy who is kind hearted and caring"

"True that"and I knew that there was no arguing about that. John Cameron then walked to us and greeted us

"So I'm still the talk of the town right?"he joked

"If me and Kelly are the town then yes otherwise I highly doubt it"

"So how was your day so far you guys?"

"The usuals"I responded back with a neutral expression.

"So I assume that you have met Heather"

"Yes and I stopped World War III" Kelly replied before I could say anything.

And after that I was being advised by John.
