Unique Mind Palace

(MC's POV)

In the morning, I got up and had my breakfast. Then I wanted to start realizing my plans: the first step: cry till they showed me something interesting.

As I just opened my mouth, Ms. Harper got into the room:

"Adeline, my dear, Mr. Emrys told me to help you in learning healing magic. I got the book you're studying before. Let me read it to you."

The book's cover read "Healing magic, Tome I". I guess I don't have to use desperate measures... for now.

For two hours, Ms. Harper read the book to us. I didn't pretend to sleep so that they can give me more of that. But more than this can create unwanted suspicions, so I had to close my eyes. I hoped the reading session can continue. However, we cannot always get what we want. Ms. Harper gave the book to Mum and went out for her duties.

I got a new mission for myself. That is to create my mind palace as soon as possible. It can make my work easier. Also, mind palace is a crucial step towards my greatness. Without super-memory, how can I make sure nothing will be forgotten?

Mind palace is an illusionary space to store my memories. I should build a suitable place to save them.

The first step is entering my mind space. This step shouldn't be that hard, right?

It has been 2 hours for God's sake and it;s time to get my second meal! I haven't even found my mind space! *Sigh* Let's skip the meal till I find it.

In this way I tried for another 3 hours and to let my Mum know that I'm safe, I had to it. I should enter it today, right?

*Sob, sob, sob* It's really hard to study without a teacher. I needed 7 hours just to find this ridiculous space! 7hours!

*Breathing deeply* Now, calm down, Noah. You cannot give up! Stand and fight!

I guess I need to find a unique way to build my mind palace. If I want to build a house or mansion, I need to see its every hole and canny. But I have neither time nor ability to do it.

*Thinking deeply* How about building a computer to store my data?! OMG!!! I'm genius! *0*

Oh, sweet. I gained another point in charisma and a new skill. I guess me shaking my arms and feet can no longer provide any point for AGI or STR. It's understandable, but why INT is still the same? I have been practising a lot with my magic and it should raise a few points, right? My speculation is, as points increase, it will be harder to add. So, the magic I am using is not challenging enough to provide me more points. It's logical, but still s*cks. Bye my sweet, easy points! *Sob, sob, sob*

I wonder why I didn't gain any skill related to occlumency. I have already built Detection screen. Maybe someone should attack it for it to function and register as a skill? Probably, yes. I should find a way to go it. This is far more important than anything else as I have too many memories that shouldn't be there and can raise some suspicions.

*Ehhh* Farewell, leisure lifestyle, welcome the age of challenges...

"It is really like as you said, Mr. Emrys. Little Noah listened for two hours straight without blinking!" Ms. Harper told Patriarch about the 'lesson'.

"*Mhm* Good, keep it up. In the afternoon, when he wakes up, change the book. Maybe about something defensive. Four hours a day is alright. But every lesson should be read twice, so you will read the same passage next day. For now, this is the plan. If there is any change, let me know."

"Roger that!"

"You can go now, Ms. Harper, do your things."

"Yes, Mr. Emrys."

After Ms. Harper walked out of the room, Logan spoke:

"Father, do you really think it is useful to read for a baby who is only a week old?"

"Get out, you rascal! You don't know the meaning of the word 'genius' at all. Just do your own work and pay no mind for my precious grandson. I will take care of his studies and well-being. It's already a huge favor that I didn't send you away. I'm afraid you will affect your child's studies."
