1 The transmigration

Hwan Lee turned 95 this year, he was one of the worlds top business tycoons. His origins were extraordinary, he came from a traditional korean family with a deep military heritage. His parents made him practice their families secret martial arts techniques but his disposition was not towards martial arts even though he was good at it. He had access to the best schools, colleges, married a beautiful women with a strong political background that helped his business ventures, his children and grandchildren were all exceptionally talented. To sum it up he had a wonderful life that any man would want, but he never fooled around and always worked hard he never enjoyed life as all his time were spent to build his families business empire.Once his son took over he retired and tried to enjoy life but he never could because he was always there to guide his son ,he never really retired until his health started to worsen. Due to life long stress he soon succumbed to his illness becoming bedridden . He was not satisfied, he was unwilling to die. Alas even with all his money he still couldn't beat death, he laid in his death bed surrounded by his loved ones, he was in life support for a year and today they were going to pull the plug. Even until the last minute you could see the reluctance in his eyes. At 10 P.M he was declared dead, Hwan Lee was no more.

In an parallel world at the same time a child was born, a healthy boy.

In the midwife's long years of experience all the newborn cried when they are born except for the deformed and stillbirths, the child in her hands looked at her and then scanned the surrounding with extreme curiosity.She thought that something was amiss with the baby but couldn't put her finger on it. As though sensing her confusion the child began to cry, the midwife started to suspect something was terribly wrong here but her train of thought was disturbed by the mother who had regained her consciousness, the midwife throw the doubts to the back of her mind and helped the mother to sit up straight. She then gave the child to the mother after giving some tips to take care of the baby she naturally left. The mother was not a heaven defying beauty but she was still pleasing to the eye.There was no one else besides her and the child in the run down house.She was very emotional as she began to speak

"Dear husband can you see how handsome our son is?"

"He seems to take after you, i am going to name him Edward "

she begins to cry, her husband had died in the battlefield, this devasted her but she carried on living for their unborn child.

Meanwhile little Edward was still crying but that was all acting, he had quiet the fright when he first opened his eyes. The last vision he saw was that of himself in his death bed. Then it dawned on him that the fact he had reincarnated as a baby.He thought to himself "Heavens i have been born again with my memories intact"

His first thoughts were about his previous family and company but after looking around he could see that the place felt very alien as in not in Korea as the ethnicity was caucasian instead of mongoloid. Since he was a baby his body's coordination was not perfect and hence he clumsily squirmed in the midwifes hands. He could see that the midwife was curiously looking at him, in order to divert the attention away he began to cry. The midwife gave Hwan to a women who he had identified as his mother in this life. She was crying and spoke in a language that he couldn't understand however watching her cry made him feel sad. The reluctance to die in his previous life made him cherish his new life, but he was not naive to think that this life would be peaceful, because he could clearly see that his new household was not rich ,the lack of any male members near him and his mothers tears indicated his position was not favorable.

Hwan made up his mind to live his new life to the fullest and take care of his new mother.In order to accomplish that he needed information about his current self and surroundings. Just as he was making grand plans for his life he became hungry and started crying for real this time.
