25 An opportunity

"Oh stop it john!! Leave the poor man alone. Who knows if he even has what it takes to take care of a woman. Maybe that's why he didn't bring a date" The woman beside him said with a small chuckle as she joined in on the joke with her companion.

"You!!" The man who the couple were joking about felt insulted as he stepped out of his car saying.

"I dare you to say one more thing..."

"Or what?" John said as he narrowed his eyes at the man who had just stepped out of his car to threaten him.

"Oh, honey! Leave him alone. Can't you see that the party will soon be starting and if we don't get in quick, they won't be any more tables left" the woman beside him said with a smile as she eyed the man standing outside their front door glass.

Meanwhile, Lucien who was looking for an opportunity saw this scene and immediately had an idea of what to do next.

"You!!!" The man who looked like he was about to be blinded by rage suddenly felt two pairs of strong arms holding him in place.

"Who dares try to stop me?" The man said as he turned his head back only to be greeted by the face of a foreigner who wore a cheap black T-shirt and jeans.

"Get your hand off of me this instant. Do you have any idea who you are dealing with?".

But instead of getting a reply, the man holding him in place looked at the people that had just insulted him and said.

"I am sorry about the disturbance monsieur. As an employee of the Starshine hotel, I assure you that I will handle the situation from here on, and make sure that you don't encounter such a situation again".

"Hey!! Aren't I also a customer, how dare you treat me like this and apologize to them?" The man screamed as he began looking for a way to break out of Lucien's clutches.

But unfortunately, the one currently holding him in place wasn't a normal human being, so his chances of breaking free from the grip were even lesser than zero.

"Hmmm!! It's good to see that such a prestigious hotel has already accounted for something like this and has already made countermeasures for it" John said as he nodded his head in admiration.

"Of course sir. We at the star shine have made sure that all our customers are treated specially, and anything that will be of hindrance to their comfort and enjoyment would be immediately taken care of" Lucien said with the most respectful tone he could muster at the moment as a smile formed on his lips.

"Now why don't you enjoy your time at the Star shine hotel with the belle madame over there. I am sure that the party is about to start soon".

"Yes, you are right. And please make sure you take care of that riff-raff. Because It will be a problem if he was to cause another commotion like this in during the party and ruin it" John said as he glared at the man who was still held in place by Lucien, still trying to break out of his grip.

"Honey! He's right you know. Why don't we let this gentleman handle that riff-raff while we head to the party? They won't be enough seats left at the front if we are late. You know that's where Doctor Louis and his fiancee would be seated" The woman seating beside John urged him to continue driving.

John nodded his head in response as pulled up the gear and circled around the man's car, making his way to the front gate.

"Hey!! Where are you going? We are not done yet!" The man screamed with fury written all over his face as he looked at the moving car.

"And you. Get your hands off of me before I call your manager!!! How dare a fucking attendant treat me like this!! Don't you know who I am?".

"Nothing to see here. The situation is already under control" Lucien said as he immediately walked back to the tree that he had used as a shade while trying to make sure nothing looked unusual.

But the screams of the man said otherwise as people looked at them with strange gazes as they drove past them.

Pushing the man to the bark of the tree, Lucien watched the man pick himself up while looking at Lucien with anger burning deep in his eyes.

"You!! I promise you that you will regret your actions today. When I am done talking with your manager, I will then make sure tha….." But the man's words were cut shut as he was immediately punched in the face by Lucien.

"That should be enough to knock him out for some few hours" Lucien said as he looked at the now unconscious man leaning against a tree.

"I am sorry sir, but I will be needing your clothes in the meantime. I hope you don't mind" Lucien said respectfully as though he was asking for permission.

But his hands which were already stripping the unconscious man of his suit contradicted his statement as they were already rampaging through the man's belongings.

It only took Lucien about 10 minutes to strip the man of his clothes and put them on.

But unfortunately, the trousers were okay but the jacket and dress shirt were a little undersized as they constantly tightened against his muscles.

'Well, I shouldn't have imagined that a stranger's clothes would be a perfect fit' Lucien thought as he took off the jacket and folded his sleeves under they were above his forearms.

"That's better" Lucien said as he unbuttoned the collar that gripped against his neck while lowering his tie a little.

Lucien looked at the unconscious man one last time before he sighed.

Bending down a little to arrange the man's posture, Lucien made sure to make it look as though the unconscious man was taking a good night's rest under the tree shade.
