The Black Storm Mercenaries and Meng Ge

Inside the Meng Clan.

Meng Zhou was having a headache as he looked at the stacked of paper in front of him, all of the paper work that was on top of his desk symbolizes the amount of people that are filing their troubles and sending it to him.

And every one of them were saying the same, and that was someone's attacking them. The attacks all started last week when he got a report about someone killing the five bandits that he hired, that alone made his headache but the other problem was the fact that someone got a wind of him being the one to instigate the attacks.

Meng Zhou obviously denied the accusations given to him by the public, but it was a fact that the reputation of the entire Meng Clan was hurt because of that incident causing their business to be slightly affected, and even thought the effect was not that great their sale still went down by a margin.

That alone was problematic, but after the incident Meng Zhou was not even able to react when someone suddenly started harassing their own people. Some of the lower level guards mostly those at the third level of Body Refinement were all killed and adding the two guards that he sent to kill Jiang Tian the overall count of those who died numbered to a total of six.

Meng was having a ton of problems and all of them, he was not able to kill Jiang Tian and because of that he was not able to make the Jiang Xi go insane or even go into a rampage, he was not able to incense fear in the hearts of Jiang people so he was not able to get the opportunity to cripple their business, and his people were either going missing or they were being killed.

He was having a problem and the only hope that he was clinging into was not in their home, inside his head Meng Zhou was cursing the five idiotic bandits that not only got killed but let out information of his Meng Clan's involvement.

[What a bunch of useless thrash not only did they got killed, they also just have to blurt out my Meng Clans involvement, those useless thrash.] Meng Zhou was having problems after another.

Then while he was in the room organizing the papers he heard a knock from outside "Patriarch, the people of the Black Storm Mercenaries are here and wants to have audience with you."

Meng Zhou who was originally feeling down became delighted the moment he heard the servant talking outside, and with a smile on his face he called out "Let them in."

Jiang Clan estate

Jiang Tian was inside his room, he was seating cross-legged atop his bed with a white scroll in hand. Looking at the scroll that was grasped on his hand, he took a deep breath and made sure his mind was clear.

Then after he did so a white light enveloped the white scroll that was on his right hand, the light slowly dissolved the scroll and like it was being corroded by some kind of force it slowly disappeared from Jiang Tian's hand.

Ding Ding

"The technique Flash Step have been absorb by the system, host is now able to use flash steps as long as he still have Spiritual Energy. The current mastery of the Flash Step is at the beginner level, the Flash Step can be evolve from normal martial technique to a mortal grade technique, if the host reach intermediate level of mastery." The voice of the system was heard inside the head of Jiang Tian.

Opening his eyes Jiang Tian checked his body if there were any kind of changes that happened to him, after checking that nothing happened to his physic even after assimilating the Flash Step.

"Seems like the system don't change the shape of my body so I can use it more efficiently, meaning I still have to train my body like most people. The Heavenly Monarch system grants me a fast way to gain power and makes my body stronger at the same time, then what about those specialize martial techniques?

"If I am able to get those techniques where you can strengthen the body, then it just might be possible for me to improve my body strength with martial techniques, but this is for the future what I should be thinking of is how to get experience points and fast. I only have another twenty-four weeks before the mission ends and I am still at level seven killing people at the third and fourth level of Body Refinement are not cutting it anymore I need people at least at the sixth level."

The experience that Jiang Tian needed in order for him to level up was another one thousand one hundred, but the opponents that he have is not helping him anymore. Before when he killed someone at the third level of refinement he was still able to get three hundred experience and a soul piece that grants him four hundred experience points.

But now that his level was becoming higher and higher the experience points that he gets from killing that are below him are also beginning to lessen, now the rate that he can get from killing a third level Body Refinement martial practitioner with the soul piece combine were one hundred combined.

Because of these he's beginning to consider of going out of the City in order for him to gain the experience points that he is lacking. Outside the red City was a vast world with many strange things all over it.

There were also a chance that he can hunt for Spirit Beasts but he would still need to leave their City as there were only regular wild beasts in the woods, there may be one or two out there that he wasn't aware about but considering that there were no such he guess that if there were it would only be a low level one, making it useless to him.

Jiang Tian was left to one choice and that was to go out of the Red City and venture the outside world, this thought was actually what he wanted all along but because his family was still facing troubles coming from the Meng Clan he was left with no chance to leave.

So for now he was thinking of how he should deal with them, if he were able to take care of those nuisance and let his family have a strong foothold in the Red City, it will make it easier for him to go out but he do not have the means for that right now so the only thing he can do is wait until he can accomplish his goal.

Night fell into Red City, the various shops that operates in the night opened their lights as they begun to open their doors for their customers. Jiang Tian was walking alone around the street of the Red City as he enjoyed the joyous looks that was on the face of everybody.

Then as he walked around the place he vaguely felt someone was watching him in the dark, turning his head he tried to check if there were truly someone that was following him. Turning his head around as if he was just looking at the sceneries made his actions quite natural.

But despite this Jiang Tian didn't find anyone around him at all, he shrugged his shoulder and thought that it was only his imagination. But because of the chance that he wasn't wrong and there truly was someone in the shadows watching him Jiang Tian made his mind as vigilant as possible.

Walking around Jiang Tian took some time before he started going back to the Jiang Clan estate, as he went back Jiang Tian slowly took his time. When he reached his home it was already deep into the night, the guards saw him walking their direction and when they realize it was him they let him pass almost immediately.

Taking a look once more in the sky he search for the one that was following him all the way to the Jiang Clan Estate, he was not able to pinpoint his location but he was clear that someone was following him. Smiling he went to his room.

Meng Zhou was sitting on a sofa with a tea on hand, in front of him was a middle age m an man that look like a bear with his big stature, both of his arms were covered with scars his face carried a serious look as he watch Meng Zhou drink his tea.

"So what do you think bear? It's as simple as that, you just need to create trouble for them and kill some of their men." Meng Zhou put his cup down as he talked about the deal that they were talking about earlier.

Bear looked at him and said "That depends on the pay, considering what you said the Jiang Clan only have two people that are on the ninth level of the Body Refinement, and someone that's already at the early stage of Mortal soul realm. If that the case then this job is not that easy.

"We at the Black Storm Mercenary only takes this kind of task if the payment is high enough, the opponent already have a Mortal realm practitioner and the strongest at my group is me who only have the strength of a half step Mortal soul realm. If you want us to accept this mission then the payment is not little."

Bear stated his case to Meng Zhou in a clear cut manner, he was not someone that gave vague hints to the person that he was talking to and hope that he would be able to understand it, no bear was a straightforward person and talked in a straightforward manner.

Meng Zhou was in a deep thought for a while but after a moment he nodded his head said "What you said is reasonable, so considering what you mentioned I will make the payment seven hundred Mortal Crystal, and I will give you the first half of the pay now if you agree to take of the black clothed bastard that have been harassing my men this past week."

"Alright, I am going to make an enemy of the Jiang Clan anyway so what can a little job like this make any difference, from what you said earlier the man who's attacking you defeated a fifth level body refinement martial practitioner right?

"And now his only attacking those whose strength are in the third level, based on this my guess is that his strength is only at the fifth or even sixth level of Body Refinement, I can kill that guy for you." Bear took the money that was being handed to him by Meng Zhou before he going out of the room.

Meng Zhou rook the tea on the table and took another sip, he was now confident of dealing with the black clothed man that was constantly being reported to him [That guy is finish, Bear is a professional of hunting and killing people so he is most proficient in this kind of job]

Meng was already celebrating inside his head, then as he continued to sip on the tea a gust of wind entered from the window and appeared inside the room.

A man stood in front of Meng Zhou, the man was wearing a moss colored robe. He looked at Meng Zhou who was drinking leisurely at the sofa and said "Father are you sure you're not being overly sensitive to Jiang Tian? I followed him today and didn't notice anything strange about him so what are you saying that the thrash of the City, I don't why you made me to that pointless walk."

"Ge'er I think you are right honestly, it's just that I'm having a bad feeling about him surviving the attack that I had setup for him in the woods, the men that I sent after him may be weak but they are still stronger than him then how come he survive?

"What's more is that Jiang Xi is not making any moves even after his son was hurt, considering how he overreact when his thrash of a son gets into trouble it's not likely for him to stay quiet. That is unless Jiang Tian didn't say anything to his father."

Meng Ge sigh and said "You're overthinking it Father, the thrash was still thrash, when I observe around the town he didn't even notice me and just went on his way so how can he do anything? Besides even if he do have some kind of mysterious ability I will still be able to kill him on one hit.

"I am already a the eight level of Body Refinement and he was only at the second level so what can he do, and if I not even able to take care of such garbage I, Meng Ge, will be less than thrash."
