Silent and Efficient

As the moon hang up in the sky and the people of the Red City were all about to go to bed and the various shops closing for the night, and amidst all the peacefulness of the night a man wearing all black on his body was moving in the shadows.

The man was fast and move with grace, then after running for a while it stopped in a corner of a house in the second district of the Red City close to a shop that belonged to the Jiang Clan.

This man was obviously Jiang Tian, he had just gotten out of the Jiang Clan estate and was about to hunt for the people that attacked them, and after a while of calculations he made the decision to go to these area where there are no guards posted.

Jiang Tian lurked in the shadows as he tried to mask his presence, he watched over the shop of the Jiang Clan as he waited for the enemies to come out. Then while he was watching the shop, he saw a middle age woman coming out of the shop to organize everything so she can closed shop already.

Jiang Tian begun to become more vigilant the moment the middle age woman came out, he knew that the people that was attacking them were also waiting for this moment.

And as for why Jiang was so sure that the perpetrators would be attacking these particular shop was because he made his Father place the other guards in an open space close to the shops, while making them look like they are hiding from the attackers.

Jiang Tian was watching the surrounding intently so as to not miss anything. Then just like he predicted he sense the movements of three to five people that was moving in the shadows.

Noticing this, Jiang Tian made sure that his face was covered up and hid his presence in the shadows.

In a shadow cast by a liquor shop there were two people standing there waiting as they watched the middle age lady prepare top close the shop.

And not far from them, in the shadow cast by a dress shop there were another three men hiding there. And same with the two other men the other three were also watching the middle age lady close up the shop.

Then as they watched the lady do her thing one of them suddenly asked the man that was in front "Hey Lu Yu, why did we go to this shop? Aren't we suppose to target the one that's in the Blooming flower street? How come where here at district two of the market?"

Lu Yu turned his head around and said to his companion "Didn't you notice the odd placement of the guards in the Blooming Flower Street? There were around twenty men waiting for us in there, luckily those guys seems to be amateurs and they left some areas for them to be seen."

The guy who ask the earlier question and thinking about it when they were about to go in the Blooming Flower Street he was able to feel the presence of others hidden in the shadows.

But still didn't answer his question why they were here "Ly Yu, why are we here then? The third district is much closer than the here so why did we have to go here?"

"It was the same for the third district. When I check earlier there were men of the Jiang Clan hidden, although they were better than the one in the Blooming Flower Street there were still people in there luckily someone around them mess up, and was leaking his presence all over the place."

Lu Yu remembered how he watched the twenty or so guards in the shadows and he couldn't help but chuckle, he was someone that the Meng Clan employed in order to cause trouble for the Jiang Clan. Although he was only someone at the fifth level of Body Refinement he was rather good at detection skill and observation techniques, making this kind of jobs where you hit and run someone perfect for someone like him.

"Come on now, we are not able to slack tonight. I already check that the guard that are posted here were at two third level Body refinement Martial Practitioner. Seems like the Jiang Clan predicted where we were supposed to attack next so they poured in their men there." Lu Yu was gloating in his heart as he said this.

"The Jiang Clan are a bunch of idiots letting those guys keep watch to ambush us." The man who was asking the questions earlier laughed with the other man as they mocked the idiotic planning of the Jiang Clan.

While they were laughing in the shadows a small and almost unnoticeable dark blue colored light flashed in an instant, Lu Yu saw the signal of the other two men in the shadows, he called the two men behind him and prepared to move.

"Come on, Ling Shi already gave the signal so shut up for now, like always go to and keep watch of your surroundings and checked if any guards are on their way. If there are people coming our way use the usual signal and retreat immediately, I'm going to kill the woman as per ordered by those people so don't mess this up."

The other two nodded their heads respectively and gave a dark and almost unnoticeable signal to the other two guys hiding in the distance so they too can hide.

The other two went to their post so they can observe their surroundings and warn the others if there were any problems.

What they didn't was that Jiang Tian was already at their tail closely following them, he had been moving as quietly as he could to approach the three people that was hiding in the dress shop. He heard everything that they had said, about the Meng Clan and how they were originally supposed to attack the Blooming Flower District.

And because of these two reasons Jiang TIan had already sentence them to death [You people really just have to agree in messing with my family, with only that kind of strength?]

Moving in the darkness Jiang Tian kept his presence as hidden as possible… after moving for a while he stopped atop the roof of house that was twenty meters away from the Jiang Clan shop.

Jiang Tian looked at the person that was also atop the rooftop, the man was also covered all in black from head to toe just like himself, and just like him the man was also hiding in the shadows as much as he could while surveying the surroundings.

Jiang Tian didn't act rashly, his enemy this time was a fourth level body refinement martial practitioner, he was silent as he watch him closely. Then all of a sudden Jiang Tian took a crouching position just like a tiger that was getting to pounce on its prey.

The man looked around another two times and seeing that no one was around the area he was put at ease, and the moment that he did Jiang Tian who was preparing to pounce at him immediately took off like an arrow that have been fired from a bow to silently take the head of his enemy.

The sound of flesh being cut by a dagger slowly and quickly pass at the same time. And the man that became Jiang Tian's victim still had his body positioned just like before, it was silent and efficient kill.

"Host gains three hundred experience points from killing one of the attackers, host now have two thousand and three hundred experience point, what will the host do about the soul piece?"

With that Jiang Tian looked at the corpse below his feet, his problem was now the disposal of the body and when he thought about it he realized that he didn't have any kind of method to dispose them.

Jiang Tian was left with no answer so he just left the corpse there for now, he was about to go to the other location of the remaining four lackeys.

In the shadows by the dress shop where he and his companions where hiding earlier Lu Yu slowly showed nonchalantly. With a short on hand he slowly made his way towards the middle age shop lady.

The middle age lady who was tidying up the front door of the shop notice the nasty and bloodthirsty aura that was creeping out of Lu Yu causing her to subconsciously turn her head around to check who the person behind him.

And when he saw the carefree smile that Lu Yu had on his face made the fear that was already building up inside her chest burst out as she quickly made her way inside the shop as she locked the door from the inside.

She knew that what she was doing was useless, she knew that her opponent was strong at least stronger than her. She was only at the second level of Body Refinement and when she saw Lu Yu earlier she knew that he was many times stronger than.

Outside the shop Lu Yu was still walking as leisurely as possible, he had planned to kill the target as fast as possible but all of that change the moment he saw the terrified look that the middle age lady showed him.

Lu Yu was delighted to see that kind of expression form a person especially if came from a woman, the look that they gave him when they are about to die excites him the most so when he saw the sudden fleeing of the middle age lady made him want to see more.

Filled with ecstasy Lu Yu rushed the door.

The door was destroyed by Lu Y with a simple kick filled with Spiritual Energy, he tried looking around the place to find his target and when he heard the sobbing coming from underneath one of the desk, a smile crept up his face.

Making his way quickly towards the reception desk Lu Yu swung the short sword downwards as he cut the desk in half, and what he saw was the balled up middle age lady cowering in fear smiling he smile at her and said "Thank you for giving me that wonderful look."

And with that Lu Yu was already to draw the curtains on the play that he was enjoying but bfore he could even kill her he heard a voice that was coming from behind him "Are you sure it's a good idea to make all these noise?"

Lu Yu was startled by the sudden voice that came from behind him, he turned his head to see who it was but when he was at the process of turning his head he notice a flash of light from the corner of his eyes, raising his right hand on instinct as he tried to block the incoming attack.

The right hand of Lu Yu was cut off from his, and with a thud it fell into the ground like some kind of garbage that have fallen off the ground, and with that the scream of Lu Yu resounded inside the shop.

"You fucking piece of shit, who are you? Do you even know what you're doing?" Lu Yu screamed at the black garbed man in front of him on top of his lungs.

Jiang Tian who just finish his first attack didn't let the opportunity to finish Lu Yu off, stepping on the walls to act as a platform Jiang Tian pounced at Lu Yu at full speed.

Seeing that Jiang Tian was not listening to what he was saying and was only focus on killing him made Lu Yu feel fear for his life, feeling the fear he tried to swing his sword but when he did only blood sprayed all over the place as his sword was already on the ground with his right hand.

The blood splashed onto Jiang Tian's covered face, but this kind of thing didn't hinder his movements at all as he quickly took the head of Lu Yu.

With a thud Lu Yu's head drop on the floor, he died just like how his other men died at the hands of Jiang Tian. Standing there with blood on his face made Jiang Tian have a strange aura of ruthlessness.

But despite this the middle age lady walked closer to him and kowtowed three times to him as she thank him "Thank you my benefactor."

Jiang Tian looked at her and said "This is the work of the Meng Clan." With that he disappeared from where he stood and into the darkness of the night like some kind of vigilante.
