Ambushed

Jiang Yi was inside the study of Jiang Xi, he was still trying to figure out who Jiang Tian had sent out to kill the attackers of the Clan. All this time he had been thinking of who it was and every time he was not able to come up of who it was.

Even when he went to secretly investigate who it was, what he got was nothing causing the image the man inside his head to become even more mysterious.

"Don't you think Tian'er have been acting all weird this pass few days? In the past he wouldn't even try to help in the problems of the Clan but now he's acting like a proper child, and the frequency of him going out is decreasing as well, all he do now is hole himself inside his room." Jiang Xi sigh with mixed emotion as he said all of a sudden.

Jiang Yi nodded his head to Jiang Xi showing his understanding of the situation, he was also thinking of the sudden change Jiang Tian went to. In the past he looked as if he was always suffering hardship about something but now it was like everything that was bothering was thrown away by himself.

This was weird and almost impossible to happen, because the problem that Jiang Tian was always facing was about his cultivation in the martial dao. Jiang Tian was a hardworking person and he wasn't the kind that slacked off in his training, but despite the hard work he puts in his training Jiang Tian was still unable to advance from the second level of Body Refinement.

Not being able to think about anything Jiang Yi sighed "Patriarch, I also don't know what is happening with that little brat but it doesn't seemed to be a bad thing so I say to just let him continue, after all the trouble he is causing to us is more less frequent that before."

Laughing Jiang Xi nodded his head and said "You might be right, but for some reason I feel that this sudden change at his attitude will lead him to more hardship and that makes me worry."

"What can he face Patriarch? You're over thinking it, that brat will have troubles with minor disputes with the Meng Clan young master at most so what can he do?"

While Jiang Xi and Jiang Yi were talking together in the study, Jiang Tian was already getting ready to slip out of the estate like he used to this past week when he went out to get those experience points by killing guards of the Meng Clan, and even though he was already at the seventh level he thought that those miniscule addition will still help him.

Leaving the his own room in secret he went to the back of the estate and sneak out like he used to do, after getting out he went to one to the fifth district that was close to the Meng Clan territory.

Jiang Tian used the Flash Steps that he had learned earlier and quickly moved around by jumping from roof to another. He moving like the wind as he made his way to the fifth district, he was disappearing from where he was and would appear in the near area next.

He was currently only able to move three meters from where he was originally standing on, but this alone was good enough considering how he just learned the technique this afternoon.

He was also unable to move in a continuous manner as he needed to rest for a bit after using Flash Step five times in a row, noticing that his Spiritual energy was quickly drain the more he used the Flash Steps made him think that it was not suitable for long travel but was more suitable for quick kills.

"The Flash Step is a technique that use Spiritual Energy to make sudden burst of Energy to move almost instantaneously, it is a technique that can help me take an enemy by surprised the only downside is that it used too much Spiritual Energy," Jiang Tian silent mused as he whispered to himself.

The as he was resting to recover his strength he heard something from behind, he was not even able to turn around and look what caused it when swooshing sounds suddenly shot to his direction.

Swoosh Swoosh Swoosh

Three arrows were fired to Jiang Tian from behind, feeling the danger that was coming to him he used the Flash Step and made his Spiritual Energy burst. He reappeared three meters away from where he was resting dodging the three arrows that was meant to take his life.

Jiang Tian's breath became rugged all of a sudden, his Spiritual Energy was recovering earlier to begin with so when he used the Flash Step the recovering Spiritual Energy was used once again, currently he only have Spiritual Energy to use another three Flash Step.

"Hooo, you dodge those arrows quite splendidly. That Flash Step was splendid, you must have polished it to a certain extent or else you won't be able to use it to dodge the arrow of Lu Ke." A man who was wearing a black robe appeared behind Jiang Tian with a dagger on hand.

"But, you will still die tonight." The man behind him made a horizontal slash aimed at Jiang Tian's neck with viciousness as he tried to sever his head away from his body "Die."

Jiang Tian felt the murderous intent from behind him once more and this time it was more devious than the arrows that was shot at him from the back, the man that had the dagger was like a viper that sneaks up onto its prey and kill it in one strike.

Feeling the cold and murderous aura that was about to take a bite at his neck Jiang Tian didn't hesitate to use Flash Step to get away from there. He once again appeared three meters away from where he originally was.

His breathing was more tired than before, he wasn't able to take a rest when he used the Flash Step earlier making him feel as though his Spiritual Energy was already half use. Panting Jiang Tian stood at the roof of a house.

He looked at the man that was standing three meters away from him and in the direction where the arrows appeared earlier, a man that was wearing a black robe was standing there with a dagger on hand his eyes was looking at him with a sharp and murderous intent but for some reason in those eyes Jiang Tian was able to find amazement and confusion.

And from afar approximately a hundred meters away from him a man that was holding a bow and arrow was looking at him just like a hawk that's observing his prey, he was not able to have a closer look at him but what he notice was that the man that was holding the bow was also wearing the same the same black robe that looked exactly like the man that had the dagger.

Jiang Tian was in deep trouble as of this moment that was because the two people that's attacking him were both stronger than him. He was at the seventh level of the Heavenly Monarch System that means his strength was basically at the seventh level of Body Refinement, the only difference that he had with a seventh Body Refinement martial practitioner was that he was stronger than normal seventh level Body Refinement martial practitioner.

The strength that the Heavenly Monarch System gave him was strong, at the seventh level of it he was practically able to fight one on one with any eight level Body Refinement martial practitioner. But this is not the case right now because he was not facing one but two eight level Body Refinement practitioner.

Jiang Tian was in a bind, the opponent was troublesome not only because of their strength but also because of their weapon. The man that have the bow was able to attack from afar and the man that have the dagger can attack him from almost any angle.

And considering how the man with the dagger was able to sneak up behind him Jiang Tian made a conclusion that he have a special movement technique that let him move quietly in the shadows.

The as he was observing his opponent he heard the man with the dagger called out "Mo Xin, this guy is good his stronger than what bear said, especially the Flash Step that he is using."

Like he was not even there the man with the dagger shouted full of energy to Mo Xin who was still looked like before as he watched Jiang Tian from afar he only said "Shut it, Shin focus on the opponent in front of you don't get distracted."

Shin only smiled as he directed his gaze to Jiang Tian before asking "What's your name?"

"What's it to you?" Jiang Tian coldly answered back.

"I take the name of the person that I acknowledge before killing them, and this time I acknowledge you and I am asking for your name you should be honored really, you're acknowledge by me so rejoice." Shin explained to Jiang Tian full of arrogance, as if he was

Jiang Tian didn't even answer back this time, he felt that the energy inside him was already beginning to recover little by little, he was considering of how to escape this predicament but he was left with nothing to think of his opponents were stronger than him and he didn't have any movement technique that can help him travel long distance and make him move faster for a duration of time.

What he currently have was the two remaining usage of Flash Step and his Spiritual Energy, he thought of using the Flash Step consecutively but because it can only be use two more times was a problem, the other problem was that even if he use the Flash Step twice in a row he would still be left with no energy to run away.

The other plan that he have was to kill them both or even one of them so he can get away but because of the difference in strength he was left with the problem of being killed almost immediately by them that he was trying to avoid.

Jiang Tian was left with no more choice, the two plan that he had inside his head were practically both suicidal. This time he was in deep trouble, then as he was lost in his misery a thought suddenly emerge from the various suicidal plans that he had inside his mind.

In his head he was already calculating the plan that he had, and then after a second of thought he came with the answer he was not expecting he will be having in this situation.

While Jiang Tian was lost in thought Shin was starting to get irritated from being ignored all this time, then when he finally couldn't hold his anger he shouted "Why you answer me already my patience has a limit, I am acknowledging you and you do not even answer?"

Shin was almost about to burst from anger to Jiang Tian, he felt that he was being ignored by someone that was weaker than himself was a disgrace. Then as he was to shout once more Jiang Tian raised his head took a good look at him and said.

"Fuck you, what acknowledgement! You are not worthy to even hold my shoes and you say that you are acknowledging me? Don't act like some kind of big shot I have never heard of your name so don't act all high and mighty in front of me."

Lifting his right hand Jiang Tian stuck out his middle finger to Shin taunting him, with that he turn around and suddenly run deeper into the territory of the Meng Clan.

Shin and Mo Xin stood there for a moment before they regained their senses to what just happened, they had never sen someone act like that to them especially when their opponent was about to die.

Mo Xin turned his head and looked at Shin and sure enough he saw him trembling from anger.

"That fucking bastard! I'm going to kill that guy." Shin roared and stomped his feet to the roof and quickly moved towards the direction where Jiang Tian went into.
