23 Deep Freeze

dashing off Finn makes his way up the station towards the first black marker. Arriving at the first location, a large pillar beam which was the core component of the upper space decks came into view. here Finn placed a c4 charge and ran off to the next one.

eventually all the charges were in place and armed. heading back to the apex mimic core, Finn got ready to explode this alien to kingdom come.

sitting on a chair at an observation window Finn could see the the tentacles of the mimic coiled around the upper space station. laying on the chair in front of was a big red button with a safety cover.

"with all these explosives I don't believe I can't kill you, hahaha" Finn laughed to himself, and with a flick of a claw the cover popped off followed by a paw smashing down on the big red button.

*rumble* the space shook as the c4 charges went off all around the upper flight decks.

*KABOOOM* tongues of flames could be seen outside the windows as shrapnel and parts flew everywhere while ripping up the apex mimic while it was roasted alive from the flames.

System: WARNING WARNING, SIGNS OF DESTRUCTION OF THE STATION HAVE APPEARED, HOST PLEASE PREPARE AS OXYGEN LEVELS ARE DROPPING RAPIDLY.

"WAIT WHAT, THAT SHOULDNT BE, I ONLY PLACED THE CHARGES IN ONE SECTION OF THE STATION"

System: due to hosts actions a fuel line has been damaged therefore causing a secondary explosion leading to the flames going all the way into the engine room and effectively causing it to self detonate, due its explosion it is guaranteed that the apex mimic will die, but host survival is questionable.

" no no no no this is not supposed to happen!! why the fuck to I have such bad luck at this moment, system is there any way to survive the engine room detonation!?"

System: due to code black out energy storage having been used recently it is not available therefore the emergency escape pods that are located on the other side of the station is the only option, you have 55 seconds to get there time till detonation is 45 seconds, work hard young cat.

"God Dammit!!" Finn didn't waste another second as he started dashing madly towards the escape pods. along the way mimics kept getting in the way but finn ignored them and let there attacks hit his body while he kept going with blood dripping down his fur.

Finally the pods were in sight they were so close.

System: detonation commences, good luck young cat.

"NOOOOOO"

*KA-BOOOOM*

The world flashes white and Finns body flys backwards from the impact smashing a window and into space he went. the station started its collapse with it breaking down covered in explosions. the groaning and screaming of metal being twisted and clashing is all he could he hear as he drifted into dead space.

"this wasn't supposed to happened, why did this have to be" Finn thought as a tear rolled down and froze on his cheek, and with that Finn froze over and drifted towards earth while the space stations engine rooms nuclear reactor section completed its meltdown and exploded killing the apex mimic and all life on board.

System: 46 hours left till energy recovery completed, mission 'Mimic whiskey workers' has been completed, transferring host back to main world, error error energy levels too low for spatial jump, running simulation for solution now, 1%...56%...100%, entering cryogenic sleep mode has been selected as optimal choice.

of course Finn couldn't hear anything as his consciousness was frozen in a deep sleep
