1 Prologue

"Let the heavens fall, let the phoenixes cry.

Let the wailing babes rise on up.

Oh, rise child rise.

Your destiny shall call upon the gates of heaven.

Your voice shall shake it all, the danger of the dragon disappears with a single word.

The justice you serve, shall bring a new dawn for all.

Oh, let the phoenix cry, let the dragons wake.

For your voice shall lay upon them – waste.

From ashes to dust, to breeze on the wind.

We shall be free.

We shall be free."

A gentle tear flowed out of a man's eye, as he played his lute, singing this song. Finally, he took a bow, and a large applause could be heard, yet it wasn't only joy. There were several envious men glaring at him. As the women they had come with were either flushed or brought to tears.

Standing up and waving to the crowd as he walked off stage Kong Jin could feel daggers in his back, the gaze of these vicious men had far outstripped the love from the women.

Kong Jin couldn't help but sigh. If he has played its been like this. He would have to go from town to town, avoiding cultivators. Not only men but women as well.

There was once an old woman of a sect that forcibly… Kong Jin shook his pretty head from thinking about it, wanting to vomit.

His talents often got him into much trouble. Unfortunately for him Kong Jin had been both blessed and despised by the heavens.

He was born a common man, always having a talent for music. In his later years he had discovered that he had something called a Divine Song Soul. This was truly a blessing from the heavens. There had only been three recorded in the entire history of the God Realm. The Founder and Palace Master of the Heavenly Music Palace being the other two.

Unfortunately for him though he was also cursed, as his entire body seemed unable to hold any Qi. At the time the current Palace Master had offered to help him, but Kong Jin had rejected the offer. Stating that who wanted to be an immortal anyway? Living forever seems extremely droll.

If only he had accepted the offer, he wouldn't have to suffer like this. He often thought to himself. Running like a dog with a tail between his legs. He gave out a soft sigh.

As he walked back stage he was greeted by the manager, who had a smile on his face.

"What a show, what a performance!" the fat old man smiled.

"It wasn't too good." Kong Jin humbly replied, while scratching the back of his head.

"Nonsense my boy!" the fat old man put his log like arm around the boy's neck bringing him in close.

"Do you see those people out there? They pay top coin to see the legendary Kong Jin. You're famous throughout the entire Realm! Seducing that the Elder of Void Lord Kingdom! Getting chased out by the Void Lord himself, the Elder taking a stand and defying her master!"

Kong Jin's handsome face crumpled up, visibly wanting to vomit. "I didn't seduce anyone. That woman is nearing a hundred thousand years!"

The fat old man gave a jolly chuckle, which wrenched Kong Jin's neck! His teeth tightly gritted, and his face flushed red with pain.

"Don't worry kid, I'm not one to judge. We all have out kinks." The fat old man laughed hysterically.

"It's lucky you didn't ever play around the Pleasure Sect! Could you imagine? Those perverts would have taken you every which way but where! You wouldn't be able to stand!" Finally, the old man collapsed on the floor from laughing, clutching his bug bouncy belly.

Kong Jin rubbed his neck again, finally he wasn't in any pain. The old man may look like a tub of fat on legs, but he's strong enough to keep anyone from stealing his money, which means he must be at least a Late Shattering, even Sovereign level cultivator.

This man could kill most like a bug, yet he was so kind! Well not entirely. Jolly, would perhaps be a better word for the man.

"I'll go collect my pay then?" Kong Jin said. Wondering when this encounter would be over.

The fat old man waved him off, still clutching his tubby stomach.

Kong Jin grunted, walking off leaving the old man to his mockery.

Walking quickly, he entered a small office, where a beautiful woman sat counting shiny coins. There coins were the currency used in the god realm. They were called Sovereign heads.

Once upon a time the God Realm used spirit stones like all the other realms, yet due to cultivators using them quicker than they could grow! Imagine a world where billions of cultivators all wanted these tiny things!

Their price fluctuated greatly. Say a Clan inhabited a new world and found an that it was a big ass spirit stone mine. They would become rich! But then the value of stones would drop.

Then when there's a population boom, mainly thanks to the Pleasure Sect might I add, they would increase in demand drastically.

This annoyed several sovereigns, especially one known as Exalt Sage Golden Hand. In his younger years he had inherited a banking clan, which he slowly grew, until it wasn't only big in his realm. No! Out of the thousands upon thousands of Realms, it had influence in any worth its time.

As many know banking clans don't like an unstable economy and Exalt Sage Golden Hand in-particular studied the Dao of Numeracy. He hated the system.

So, he bought together a council of Exalts, and came up with the idea of Sovereign heads. They would have different coins imbued with their own stamps in ranking of strength to determine their currency.

For example, Exalt Golden Hand was the 11th strongest out of the 15 there. So, his coin would be worth 100 billion sovereign heads. The same way the weakest Exalt would be only be worth 1 sovereign head. The second weakest 10, third 100. So, on and so forth all the way to rank 15.

Looking at the beautiful lady Kong Jin couldn't help but be slightly aroused. She was in big busted, with a cute little face. Any man would salivate over her, the only problem was that she was the manager daughter.

"Hello Little Lue, how much did we make tonight?" Kong Jin asked, trying not to get lost in her mesmerising scarlet eyes.

"Quite a bit, around ten thousand. You're a big draw in you know?" she said whilst blushing.

Kong Jin was wearing his heart on his sleeve, he couldn't help but want to reach out to her and be with such a wonderful woman.

Suddenly there was a quake in the floor, that shook not only Kong Jin but the whole town!

A shrieking could be heard in the skies! "Ji-er! Ji-er! I've finally found you!"

When the voice landed on his ears Kong Jin couldn't help but shiver violently. That voice. That voice belonged to the old hag!

"How did she find me?" he mumbled in disbelief.

"Sorry Kong Jin…she was offering a great reward…" he heard a voice mumble behind him.

After which he felt a swift pain in the back of his head, causing his eyes to darken.

*

Slowly Kong Jin's eyes started to lift. Shrugging his shoulders, he felt strange. Everything seemed to be out of place.

He looked up to see his hand. It was smaller than usual. He sat up, to see a crying woman, and a man trying to comfort her.

A sharp pain pierced his head. Causing him to clench his head.

Memories of a different person flashed into his head. His name was Kong Jin as well. He lived in a place called winter leaf town. In the state of Zhou?

Kong Jin was confused, he'd never heard of the state of Zhou. He continued to sift through all the memories, until finally he saw it.

A boy. A boy named Kong Jin, who was trash getting hit on the head by a… a log? A falling log?

Kong Jin rubbed his head. Wondering how anybody could have such a stupid death. Feeling slightly guilty about taking this boy's body he grimaced. Whispering to himself.

"Don't worry little fella, one day I promise I'll make it up to you."

Looking at the two people crying he recognised them as his – that is Kong Jin's parents.

"Mother… Father?" he muttered.

"Ji-er! You're awake! How? The doctor said you shouldn't last the night!" she ran up, hugging the boy into her chest. Sobbing all the while.

The grizzly man walked up to him, looking him straight in the eye. "So, boy. You think just because you ran away and hurt yourself I'd let you out of the Kong Family trial?" his voice sounded deep and grizzly.

The stern look melted away, as he hugged Kong Jin and his mother. "Don't you ever worry your mother like that again." A tear slowly fell down his eye.
