The First Morning

A good hour before the break of dawn the old man had woken Aos up and after making sure she had fully awoken he said, "Good morning Aos. Follow me to the forest I am going to show you what a druid really is." he then grabbed Aos' hand and guided her, alongside him out of the simplistic wooden cave he'd created the very night before.

They both slowly moved towards the forest as the old man had resumed his old man persona and Aos for her young age. The old man's sheer strength that he had displayed the night before had faded and his movement which now completely contradicted it baffled Aos.

In the midst of Aos' confusion, they reached an area not too far away from the wooden cave and the old man gestured to a log stump which had an oddly flat surface on top. The old man then said a single word, "Sit".

Aos quickly did as she was told and sat on the stump. Then the old man's instructions continued, "Cross your legs and close your eyes". Aos who did not understand what was going on complied while slightly confused. The old man then walked up to Aos and in a relaxed manner reached out his hand and placed it on Aos' forehead. The old man continued, "I will teach you how to meditate. One of the foremost principles of a druid is being a part of the land. Meditation surrounded by nature is one of the most efficient ways to improve your ability to feel nature itself." then the old man paused in order to properly word his next words, "Since you have yet to awaken your ability to perceive nature this will hurt a lot." then in a very worried tone said, "You must not break concentration, otherwise it could endanger your life...".

The old man began to explain the very process of what will transpire, "Aos, with your eyes closed you will need to attempt to see your surroundings. I will channel nature energy directly into you. This energy will surge around inside your body. Since your body has yet to properly awaken this will force your being to adapt. The energy will begin ravaging the very makeup of your being until it begins to settle in your blood, in your bones, and in your muscles and organs. This process will fundamentally change you into one attuned with nature. During this forceful awakening, you will experience excruciating pain. Yet, you must keep attempting to see your surroundings without sight. In the midst of this pain, you will slowly begin to notice a very dim energy flow within all creatures tied to nature. This energy will be green and unwavering. Then, focus on this energy. Finally, you must attempt to feel this energy and observe how it flows. It may be hard to observe but over time when you train it'll improve.
