Both women were staring at me, as if I were not there. There surprise had me worried just a little, but I did not want them to know that or show it to them. I was not sure that was a good idea. I looked back in forth between them, waiting on someone to say something because I did not want to be the one to say anything. My nerves were already a wreck, and I was already worried both would be disappointed in me. I watched Alessia for a good moment, before turning back to Armani, who was smiling at me. I squeezed my eyebrows together and watched her closely. Why was she smiling? Was she happy for me? I was more confused now. I sat back in my chair and waited for her to say something.

“I am not sure if I should be happy about this news, or if I should be upset about it.” Alessia spoke, staring at the table. She seemed to be lost in thought now, and I also did not know if that was a good thing or not.
